    Between 9:30 and 10:15 is THE BEST explanation of drag link geometry there is, THANK YOU for this video and your expertise and your ability to explain the science behind a jeep front end. So many videos fall short or give incorrect and incomplete information. YOU SAID IT BEST, I've learned more in this video than countless hours of other videos. THANK YOU!!!

    Great video! @9:50 is the best explanation of bump steer I've ever heard.

    I'm chasing a poor drive ability issue...your explanation of the relationship between the spindle ball joint and the track bar mount may just be the issue I'm confronting. Thanks for "steering" me in the right direction!

    Great info. Just got my first Jeep (2015JK). This has helped me educate my decision for a lift kit. Thanks!

    Very helpful thank you. Been having problems with wobble and so far have replaced everything (some things twice) and just pressed on teraflex ball joints as a last ditch effort. If it doesn’t help I’m worried if using the tape measure to adjust my track bar wasn’t precise enough. But in the end it seemed like there were only two options at 180 degrees putting it about 1/8”off in one direction or 1/4” off the other direction

    Excellent video. Someone added a track bar relocation bracket on my 2010 I just purchased, but did not flip the drag link so I believe this is my issue. Question: would you rather have an adjustable track bar and use the factor bolt location for the track bar or leave it in the relocation bracket and install a high steer flip drag link? I have an unlimited with 35's and 4" lift. Jeep drives pretty good on the highway at 70, but in town handling is absolutely deadly. Also, my caster is 3.6 on the passenger and 4.4 on the driver (just had it on the alignment machine). We did not touch it because I have adjustable upper and lower control arms coming for the front (currently has fixed length stock upper and aftermarket lower).

    Great run through, but you mention talking about camber, but I think you may have missed it. I’m having issues with a ton of negative camber and looking for advice on how to correct it.

    Those lower control arms are on upside down. Tire has been contacting it as well.

  • @arrecho4x4
    @arrecho4x4 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks. What happen when you have doble u-joint driveshaft, since the geometry, that meet to point flat from the differential, If you move the caster the drive shaft angle is going to getting worst. This does not have any solutions?

  • @MCLIFE786

    I installed teraflex draglink and tierod in my JK now my steering is off and I can’t center it thru the sleeve on the draglink cuz the sleeve is at max in I can’t make the draglink shorter. What do u think i should look for at this point?

  • @DanMcD80
    @DanMcD80 ปีที่แล้ว

    Lower arms are in backwards and you can see where tires are rubbing on the arms at full lock because the clearance bend is in the wrong place

    I assume torque steer is same as bump steer? Thank you for the discussion of this - I always wondered what this meant. Also, I had to abandon one Jeep (a 2010 JK, now own 2016 JK) as I could never resolve death wobble - maybe it was bad caster all along? How prone to DW are the JKs you build?

    • @WranglerJKLS
      @WranglerJKLS  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      DW is tough, it's more art then science to fix in some cases. I will try and get some info up regarding DW.

    Robbie... Just for my FYI... Is there a reason you mounted your lower Control Arms with the Adjusting Nuts on the Axle side 🤔

    What kind of trackbar is that

  • @SalonSonikPasadena

    I have a 15 jku lifted 3.5" rock krawler on 37" after going through Rubicon trail, the jeep doesn't seem right when driving through turns going 30 to 60 MPH. It wonders and I need to constantly correct steering. Also on turns on does a quick slip and catches itself. if anyone has had a similar issue I would love to hear about it. Thanks

      Do you have a track bar bracket? If so toss it and get a new track bar.

      He never stated what engine the numbers came from, he was just talking in general about going from one horsepower number to another and what issues can happen.
