    Different Biomes, each with their own 4 or 8 hour campaign, unique enemy types and vehicle types, 10+ Fobs, 5+ Banished bases, 8+ HVTs etc would make this game the best Halo game of all time. I'm thinking a snow biome, a beach/tropical/water biome, a jungle biome, a desert biome and a plains biome that favors vehicles and has bigger enemy vehicle patrols. Each Biome dlc can add new vehicles and weapons to the sandbox along with upgrades to chiefs Mjolner armor maybe even perks for more ammunition, faster movement speed. Also the eventual Flood DLC where the main enemy is the flood is a must have, theyre probably saving it for october of this year. Hell I would like to see the prometheans return in a future dlc. 343 has the golden goose, it's up to them to either keep it alive so it lays golden eggs or killing it for a quick profit.

      I’m gonna be honest having the flood as a “must have” in a halo game is just boring for me.It might be from how much I hated the Library in CE but my favorite parts of Halo is the big battles of covenant/banished fighting the UNSC I think that’s where halo is at it’s best not trying to be a zombie game since the flood aren’t as interesting to me as the Covies

      @@apollo4619 Flood has been there since CE, The Flood is synonymous with halo, Boring or not it doesn't really matter. This game is a 10 year or atleast realistically a 5 year live service game, It is THE halo game of this generation. I see no reason for 343 to not have a flood themed season/DLC down the road. I agree that big covenant battles are great and we should see more of those in future dlcs, invasion mode should come back as well, Firefight, flood firefight, flood horde mode, infection. The possibilities are endless with what 343 can do with Infinite.

    Something I noticed in Halo infinite, is that even tho it’s a very good game, it was missing that “epic” moment that every halo has had at least once in there story, be it the Warthog run, the elites joining you against the flood and covenant, The rooftop fight in ODST, the saber flight in halo 4 , the scarab fights, halo 5’s “trials” or even the kraken.
    We had a scorpion push in the campaign, but it felt pretty lackluster, the game is good and it helps set again the Halo mood! But there wasn’t a moment we’re I felt like things were getting super exciting.

    There NEEDS to be a Scarab fight at some point! We haven't had one since Halo 3 and the Banished scarab from Halo Wars 2 looks too awesome for us not to see it again.

    The big Mining Machine with red lasers was DEFINITELY a scarab boss fight originally. Listen to the UNSC logs that talk about it and you can hear it in the background.

      I strongly feel making games from home isn’t as hard as they say a lot of the work force worked from home and the majority of them said it was more productive and easier. Just more excuses from the new age of making half a game with tons of Micro transactions. I want game development of the 90s-2000s.

    My main problem with the campaign is that it feels so thin. The enemy encounters are boring in composition after the 50th time, with little creative foreshadowing or storytelling going into their presentation. The world looks amazing when you look around it for the first few hours, then you realize that cool looking overhang is just a bunch of hex columns with no secrets, that the weather never changes, that 90% of the map looks the same, that there’s no interactive wildlife to watch brutes or marines fend off, that there are no, or almost no, (I can’t think of one) cool scripted sequences.
    Also, the excavator was 100% supposed to be a scarab, there’s no way that what we got was what was planned, which is so sad because that would’ve been epic. And I have a strong hunch that they planned for you to be able to call the pelican down, to pick up marines after a rescue and to initiate fast travel

      I think if they do it very right then they can make this a good game. But as it stands it's the worst game in the series for me. ODST did this better a decade ago.

    definitely would love to fight scarabs and maybe those alien hyenas, also suprising attacking a group of banished while they're transporting prisoners sounds like an awesome mission. hope they add weather and biome those can be great for setting the mood for fights and missions, imagine fighting an army of banished in a thunderstorm with epic music

      There is wildlife in Infinite. There isn't carnivores that'll jump at you, but there is critters and herbivores that just gallop around.

    I'd like to see some form of the ex-covenant from halo 4/5 as small fragments battling against the banished. Especially if their armor is adapted to Infinites art style

    . Big open fields and hills

    Its actually so sad how amazing infinite could of been , look at all this potential, if they just took another 2 years on the game we would have had something so unbelievably good I think it would be undoubtedly the best halo game ever and one of the best games ever full stop.

    343 said the banished would hunt for you at night using the phantoms, they said the phantoms would look for you using their search lights same thing for the banshees, and also said there would be random ambushes when exploring but i havent come across any of it....and the idea of saving marines being escorted to enemy territory would be so cool, you could either follow them back to base and kill them all there, or take them out right there, also would love if you could hide under water while crouching and assassinate enemies secretly or even being able to hide behind bushes or trees or in dark areas, more stealth options would be nice....maybe even add upfront assassinations only for campaign....

      If it's canonically true, one of the propaganda towers heavily implies that Locke is dead; they say one of the brutes uses his helmet as decoration. Something like that.

      Lasky is dead...i just found his crashed ship and it was torn up on impact. Audio Log confirms the death I found. Its Lasky sending out orders and cuts after an explosion.

      I actually like the idea of a dlc playing as Locke where it’s like a stealth based thing. And Locke has like less protection because his armor was taken. Plus it could probably be a good way to redeem him, I mean his lore is really interesting

    Microsoft had a previous case that they are trying to avoid again. The gist of that case is the devs are contracted as "not employees" and so Microsoft can't keep them around for to long unless they want to actually pay them what their owed. Microsoft solution was to cut the devs just short off breaking the law again like before.

      contracting people is not breaking the law. They didn't have to cut them. Contracts can be re-negotiated. And people can be fired for any reason anyway.

      @@Wylie288 Yeah but it IS Microsoft policy to only keep contractors for a maximum of 18 months, after which they are guaranteed to be let go under any circumstances. And they did say that Halo Infinite had the majority of the work outsourced to contractors. Within 6 years that means they would have completely replaced the main workforce of the game 4 times

      It's not just the grapple hook. It's the Story, Music, Weapon sounds, the rest of the sand box. It's just a very good game once they fix BTB and the store prices it'll be the best Multi-player hands down.

      The story was the weakest of the series. People didn't like 5. But at least something happened in it. Nothing happened in Infinite. It was boring.
      And the sandbox was garbage. Vehicles are made of paper despite the fact there are even more ways to deal with them. The boss fights are all either too easy or just a test of patience as you swing around the room avoiding a melee boss.
      It's a blatantly incomplete game.

    In nothing but my opinion, it’s seeming to me that they had to cut things back due to time, the last Gen hardware and the future. The future that will be filled with dlc of all different types for campaign.
    The technology is not even up to what we expected, so I’m hoping that the dlc drops will turn into a hardware requirement that has to be met in order to play. Like GTAV dropping the 360/PS3 as they kept making dlc for the MP, like the huge heist story that had flying cars and submarines Ect.
    Halo is going to be a 10 year platform, so at some point the current generation will be old and a lot more understood. Allowing for all sorts of tricks. I miss the days where devs found brilliant ways to accomplish something, it was truly an art form.

    The story really does feel like the introduction to the campaign. Like they need to have infinity return, atriox release the endless, and then have a shit show conclusion where the endless are killing both banished and UNSC.

    A potential problem with a banished scarab is the grappling hook. They could just make it non grappleable, but that would feel kind of cheap.

      Or in the dlc they take away your grapple and replace it with the repulsor

      They could add an anti grapple energy shield that you have to shoot first to grapple up, or an energy pulse throwing you off which you have to destroy from a distance first

      I could see them balancing it by having the scarab be an uodated model with more turrets added, or perhaps more enemy npcs on the platform itself. The scarab is fairly close quarters. If you grapple hook up there and enter a room filled with enemies, you're more likely to get owned.

    I have had a thought. The forerunner audio rings we find throughout the campaign what if they are also teleporters that we could use when future dlc comes out in the coming years. The reason for my thinking this way is because after killing the harbinger chief goes through a slipspace/ teleporter and ends up 3 days later exactly at the site of those mysterious forerunner audio log rings. Is this just a coincidence?

    Think most of the issue stems from last gen consoles heard that they had to tone down explosions due to constant crashing on last gen consoles. So the thought of last gen consoles not being able to load all the wildlife and cut content wouldn’t be to far of a stretch

    The marine prisoners being escorted would have been amazing. I hope they take a full 2 years to just produce a DLC that has all these things. Maybe they can focus on one new biome while also completing the biome we already have

      @@wellofinfinity Exactly i was expecting unique dungeons Joseph Staten and old bungie head that 343i brought back. was talking about following Sentinals into secret areas none of that.
      I like Joseph , but he lied the way he spoke about Halo infinite in the community post made it sound like a great epic. Im not saying i didn't enjoy the campaign but theres barely anything in it.
      They worked on this game for 6 years no different bioms , no weather system, no dungeons or unique boss fight with different types of sentinals. Or finding ancient forunner temples that have terminals with lore etc.
      None of that, I did like the base mechanics, outpost etc and bounties. But after you do that is completely barebones.
      theres nothing else here. Im not saying the game needs to be Skyrim but jesus were in 2022 and the game feels like its completly unfinished.

    9:35 that's probably a Coguar without the turret. An early version type of file is present in the game (actually there are lots of weapons and vehicles files that didn't make the final version 🥲)

      Of course it could be a new concept of the cougar, but it doesn't looks like the one from Halo Wars.
      By the way it would be really cool to have some of the halo wars vehicles for Infinite, it would fit well with the open world map and specially if we meet the Spirit of Fire

      Well, I think we were definitely going to originally see Offensive Bias based on that cut cutscene we saw in the Halo Infinite Campaign trailer, but we might see him in Halo: The Endless!

      I would like to see hunter variants like in HW2, especially the goliaths. The banished scarabs, locusts and blisterbacks, the brutes from halo wars 2 with the crazy power armor and wrist blades, mabye we can fly sabres again??? Tbh a weather system would vastly improve replayablity and its something so small and that I kinda expected from the beginning. The revenent would fit the banished aesthetic without any changes. So far the banished feel like diet covenant with no real differences except that everything that is purple is now red. They need to be a more distinguishable faction, HW2 nailed that because just about every enemy looked different and more brutal, the berserkers in infinite are the only real change to the sandbox.

      6 years and slipspace marketing engine, it's an empty game even this is the best Halo ever, try to play Red Dead Redemtion 2 and see those graphics, i think that the budget was stolen.

      I hit the Disagree Button at the 2 minute 43 second mark, when you were saying how terrible the Halo 5 Guardians Campaign was, when it Was Not!
      That Halo 5 TH-cam Hate started with Ryan McCaffrey and IGN, 1 year before Halo 5 launched, because Ryan McCaffrey hated the A List Actor Colter, while playing in a Halo Film!
      Halo 5 Guardians was terrific to me, I understood the Lore well!

    This is one of my favorite Halo games despite how they handled Cortana. I know Halo 5 is not great, but they pretty much said "hey, ya know that story we were trying to build in the last one? Yeah, that's all erased now". I was looking forward to seeing how they further develop Cortana.

      I whole heartedly agree with that. I think just deciding to completely brush past it ended up as the worst of both worlds. They should have stuck with the story but adapted to the criticism. Like making Chief the main character (obviously).

    I'm calling it now, those 7 Forerunner artifact rings are portals to different locations on Zeta Halo, and that each campaign DLC will take you through one of those portals and into a new map with a different environment to explore.
    One new campaign DLC every year for the next 7 years would definitely be in line with 343's plan for Infinite to be a 10 year game. By the time they release the final campaign DLC for infinite, that'd give them roughly 3-4 years of "full-swing" development for the next Halo, which seems to be fairly common for AAA games lately.
    While development may start as early as 6-7 years prior to actual release, "all hands on deck" fully in development time still seems to come down to about 3-4 years prior to launch for many of these big AAA titles.

    "Cut content" is a fancy way of saying "held hostage for future DLC". The crew builds a big world, full of stuff to see and to do, and then the company goes "Hold up...save this stuff for later, we can make more money that way".

    Would love dynamic weather effects, diverse terrain, varied wildlife, and a few dramatic set pieces in addition to banished scarabs (not to mention other vehicles / units from Halo Wars 2), more equipment/weapons/vehicles, dual wielding, assassinations, space combat, wall running, underwater elements, and of course, co-op.

    343 has a short time-frame to impress halo fans. I personally doubt they can achieve that goal. I believe Halo Infinite will be the death of the Halo franchise. This game will either save Halo, or be the final nail.

    I hope when they add expansions, its added into the current Halo Infinite campaign. Like you're able to continue wither from your save, or when you load into the base campaign, on the minimap, their are like "fast travel points" that allow you to travel to different parts of the ring. something like this so it helps with a streamlined and continuous gameplay instead of a level by level style but this is just me having wishful thinking.

    I think it's blatantly obvious at some point the Spirit of Fire will be around. Why else would the banish be the antagonist? To whether or not it was a mid post credit scene is debatable to me. Why would they leave the ring? They have no means to travel big distances. The scene just seems to be scrapped....whether it was post credit or supposed to be in the middle of the game it don't apply to the current story we have at the moment. That doesn't look the Spirit of Fire....That looks like half of the Spirit of Fire.

    Definitely a lot of potential here. A good place for 343 to start to bridge over this multiple bio idea is by having the house of reckoning island fully accessible and finished after you complete the main campaign. Ideally use it as a prepping ground for the reintroduction of the cut content, and special LZs used by bro hammer to take you to the new biomes. Also, some tells me the random forerunner and banished shrines across the main map could play a part in future expansions also...

    What I like about the devs at 343 is their ambitions to make something truly special, this concept art shows that they wanted to make halo infinite a really good game, hell if the content didn’t get cut at all, it didn’t go F2P, it would’ve been so much better than it already is, but then the hire ups at 343 and Microsoft decide to backstab them and strip most of the things that could have made halo infinite (maybe) the best halo game in the franchise.

    I think the T rating really REALLY killed the game too. The explosion effects and the boss fights and THE HORRIBLE blood decals/effects... It kills the game for me. I have it downloaded but I'm thinking about deleting it till forge

    Halo Infinite is a true tragedy. It focused on getting rid of all of the bad elements of Halo, and didn’t have the time to bring back all of the great ones.

    They couldn’t even place ONE scarab on the map not one roaming around, didn’t even need to script it into a mission, tragic
    Should of had more animated scenes, UNSC reinforcements turning up in the sky’s mid
    Campaign, Sky battles, no epic vehicle level or run, and the final open world we got looks nothing like
    The early renders, what a mess

    Here's what I hope future DLC's expand on:
    - Exploration on the non broken sections of the ring (since the broken area you are on is only like 5% of the whole ring)
    - Large scale sandbox battles
    - New weapons, equipment, vehicles (Imagine if got halo wars vehicles in Infinite, if the spirit of fire is part of the story)
    - The Banished (I'm hoping th at we might some more of the banished leaders)
    - Wildlife on the ring that you could interact with
    - More biome variety/worlds (Imagine if Infinite's main campaign is one of many open world biomes on the ring that you can fast travel between)

    Thank you! When we got the 2018 trailer then got the 2020 trailer it basically threw me into a huge depression for ahwile and then they delayed it lmao I knew the game was suffering development woes because it looked nothing like what was previously shown. I really hope they can work back in what was cut out and make meaningful additions to the single player dlc.

Having one biome is really kinda bad imo, the big open areas they showed made me think giant battles were gonna happen so I hope they can deliver on that, imagine a dlc that ends with a double scarab battle where you get to control one to blow the other up!

      @Strikingfire that's relatively easy to do imo, I don't think full cutscenes were made for everything so working in what was cut and making it fit the narrative would be pretty simple just like how chief ends up in that dessert area at the end of the game, they can just say we here now and we have to take out the banished forces in this area while discovering more secrets of the ring.

    I hope the parts of the current campaign will get updated over time with new biomes so it becomes a new experience later. The crashed Pelican island could be more swamp-like, the zone with beacons could be a tundra with dynamic blizzards moving around, the introduction to the house of reckoning could start NOT with the scorpion run but with a desert section like the Ark level in H3, rainstorms, duststorms, seasonal biomes could be added so that old zones in one playthrough will eventually experience droughts, flooding, and whiteouts (blizzards could add new geometry to maps), the sections of land near the HoR could be reachable only with wasps/banshees and have internal halo cave systems, there could be an area where you board a banished ship like from H1 T&R, maybe a space level thats real-time above the campaign map could be added so you TRUELY can test your no-fall dmg, next gen, mk 6 chief LOL.
    tldr:
    So many possibilities.

    I know its never gonna be like this but when I close my eyes and picture how I wished Halo Infinite would have and could have been, I see;
    - A huge explorable open map
    -Several different biomes with unique animal and plant life.
    -In each biome there is the possibilty of encountering different hostile Animals relative to their biome and even hostile alien plants. These can be randomly generated on the map and even fight against the banished in some cases.
    - A multitude if vehicles that work best in different types of biomes
    - Cross faction encounters. Maybe forerunner and banished units fight for dominance on the ring and you and the surviving UNSC crew are caught in the middle
    - More human characters present. I would have loved to see Lasky or Blue team, or even what happened to Osiris. I love the human aspect of halo and it could have been awesome to rally survivors we know and love from the infinity wreckage
    -Rescuing marines from banished transports and transporting them to FOBs
    -Maybe there can be something like COD has where each soldiers name and rank is displayed so you can truly form bonds with different marines you find and rescue. They can also be stationed at your FOBs and even be permanently killed.
    - I love infinites music however would love to hear more CE styled music (this is a personnal preference)
    - Would love to encounter ODSTs on the ring. Or even finding their pods or something would be so cool.
    - I wish we got to see the spirit of fire. I feel like its a huge missed oppurtinity to have them come in to save the day since they have experience fighting the banished. Then Red team and the Master chief could reunite.
    -I love the humor in Infinite but it can seem a little out of place sometimes considering how serious the story is. I really like how HW2 presented the banished and would have loved to see that be present more in infinite.
    -I wish the missions were more diverse and cutscenes a bit more fulfilling.
    -I wish we had an update with the arbiter
    -I wish the first mission was the infinity being taken over by the banished. I can never forgive 343 for not allowing us to play what arguably could have been one of the coolest halo missions ever and even draw parallels to The Pillar of Autumn.
    I love halo infinite but to think what this game could have been leaves much to be desired.

    The open world campaign sucks balls.
    Totally boring environment.
    After you storm a couple bases they’re all the same.
    The high value targets are all just basic ass enemies you can pretty much just run over if you want.
    No replay value
    No interesting side missions.
    And there’s literally nothing to explore except an empty lifeless world.

      Unfortunately as much as I hate to admit it but you are 100% right, many stuff are not there anymore,the brute throwing the suicidal grunts no longer there ,Also they shown you can load the warthog with weapon that you use it later but doesn’t exist anymore,and many other stuff they removed,there is no sudden events that happen without expecting it like what happens in previous halos, also we fans like from time to time to see a cutscene for enemies interacting with each other’s especially low /medium ranked ones and how things going on between them in daily life/outside their war life….

    I think this game needed another 1-2 year delay. Companies really need to stop releasing games with half the content and twice the price on micro transactions.. it’s bullshit you can literally go through the game doing main objectives in like 4 hours on normal mode. What the hell is that? That’s literally nothing! The side objective are so repetitive and boring! It’s a terrible open world game!

    We do originally know it was supposed to be like BOTW but they started development all over again 2 years prior before release. Makes me wish that they had a set plan and directions for the game, and it makes me hope the DLCs helps make their original idea of the game come true. (Like the unreleased guns and vehicles) that are in the files
    -also wanted to add that people should keep in mind that concept art is just that concept, just to put out ideas or how some scenarios would look like not necessarily things being cut out but it’s a live service game as well so HOPEFULLY they do come true

    I like your content but stop making excuses for 343i, especially related to COVID. They had 6 years between mainline titles... thats 2x -3x more than any other gap. And only about 20% of that time was during the pandemic. This just shows what a cluster eff 343i is. Don't get me wrong, this is a great Halo in its core game play... but content wise it's a total bust. Just shows 343i can't put together a complete package. It's time for a shake up at the top or turn the title over to another studio. I'm sick of 343i coming up short.

    5:14 on why the scarabs haven't been in the game since H3. If what I heard from Late night gaming is correct, the physics around the scarabs AI is really wonky, like game breaking wonky. Apparently, when Reach was being developed (hence why no scarab battles in Reach), they were trying to tweak something with it's AI and broke the physics interaction around it and no one has been able to fix it since, Bungie nor 343. I was unaware of this until recently listening to one of LNG streams. I just wish they would make it more commonly known so fans won't assume 343 isn't lazy or unwilling to bring it back.

    Semi interesting story regarding Halo 5s story among my friend group is after we all played through it I thought it was really bad, and so did all my friends but then they started asking me all these questions (I have read pretty much every book and EU story cause I'm a sci-fi junkie) and it occurred to me that most people who haven't probably got into Halo 5 feeling like they missed an entire other game.

      You can summarize halo 5s long term effects quite easily.
      Cortana has returned and she wants to force everyone to never fight another war using death star like machines (guardians).
      Shadows of reach has much more impact on the story of halo than halo 5 had.

    343 said that this is their only halo game for the next 10 years so I have no doubt all this cut content will release at some point. We've seen trends like this with other games like apex and other games where they had content cut from the early game development and reintroduce them at later stages of the game

    I’m sure a lot of it was cut simply to use as DLC filler so they weren’t struggling down the road with trying to find material and is what lead to the delay of the game because they needed to continue repairing the game & adjusting the story after the great content purge.

    No, the game was not "in polishing mode" before release, they were literally working on it up to release. That's why so much was cut.
    DLC isn't "right around the corner", fixing dsync isn't even coming out soon. If anything 343 are probably working on polishing and adding multiplayer features now, that's it.

    I hope they bring back the cut content when they add campaign dlc. It'll also be cool if each new campaign dlc takes place in a different biome with different... "play-styles?" Example, the current campaign is a west pacific biome, it'd be cool if the next biome is a very arid and desert biome with an emphasis on vehicle use and using vehicles like elephants. Instead of Outpost Tremonius serving as the UNSC's main HQ (aside from the FOB's) the Mammoth could be the UNSC's HQ for the region. Or maybe another biome where to get to different islands and exploring smaller islands can only be explored with air vehicles and thus the return of the Hornet and the Falcone and maybe even introducing a new crew aircraft. Almost inspired by Halo Reache's New Alexanderia mission.
