..you've seen the LEGENDARY ending correct? You know..the part where it says IT TAKES PLACE 100K YEARS BEFORE THE HALO GAMES?..The weapon why people think he is alive is because the ending doesn't give the timeline context, to show that it's a massive replay of the past, not something that is happening currently.
The harbinger is an endless. After you beat the game you can go to the world map and look at the descriptions of story segments of each place you visited. If you hover over the auditorium of a completed game the text states she is an endless.
@@HeresAtta after reach every was saying that 6 survived by living in a cave so it’s just a meme to say that when someone it’s 100% dead 😂 but tbf Atriox isn’t dead so 🤷🏿
My biggest hope for the dlc if he comes back is that wee get to see some of the crazier banished forces that we saw in halo wars two. And perhaps some of their weapons as well
I think the entity that scanned Cortana and the "other presence" she noticed was offensive bias. In the legendary ending they deploy offensive bias to handle the endless so I believe it's offensive bias aiding Cortana from behind the scenes. I also think it was offensive bias who activated the portal that sent chief to the arid desert part of the ring. The forerunners love sealing things away in deserts, the urdidact was put in his Cryptum in a desert, and mendicant bias was also stored in a desert
Maybe in some way or form, Cortana used a guardian to sacrifice herself and destroy the part of the ring going down with atriox, that could explain the destroyed guardian that we see off in the distance. How atriox survived, who knows... Maybe he used a piece of tech to somewhat shield himself from the blast, cause if you look at the legendary ending on his face he has no warpaint and half his face is scarred/wounded. And harbinger could maybe be a weaker version of the endless cause in some part of the game she refers to herself as "merely a messenger" or something along those lines.
That is the meaning of 'The Harbinger', it's 'a person or thing that announces or signals the approach of another'. That's why she refers to herself as 'a messenger', and in the final battle she calls herself 'The Harbinger of Truth', which could mean that she is the 'bringer of the truth about the Endless/Xalanyn' ot something else we still don't know
I really love how threatening Atroix is in the 2 games he's appeared in so far. Not only is he a powerful warrior, but I think what makes him truly dangerous so far is is intelligence and due to Cortana's foolishness in destroying Doisac, the fact that he pretty much as nothing left to lose. Like Escharum, I feel Atroix is well aware (if not outright more informed than the former) of the Harbinger's half-truths and true intentions and knows more about the "Endless" than we think. . .
That's actually the parallel chief was thought dead but survived and showed up 6 months ago, atriox was thought dead but shows up 6 months ago at ending of the game.
I think it’s weird that no one’s mentioned the fact that atrocity just looks younger at the end of the game, he has no face tattoos and his beard is fully black with no grey in it.
Part of me thinks Atriox is dead (I don't want him to be because he's probably my second favorite antagonist) however because we have no relative time frame of when these things are happening. Did Atriox stumble upon the supposed cylix of the Endless before, during, or after the main campaign? I think the cylix of the flood spore and the Harbingers usage of the phrase "I shall talk, you shall listen" line was a subtle way for 343 to misdirect us. I believe that during the end of the campaign during the Harbinger battle that The Weapon was being helped by either Mendicant Bias or Offensive Bias especially with the random portal that appeared. I can't reasonably say Harbinger was speaking to Atriox simply because the "connection" that was mentioned was old and organic. Assuming that the Endless are precursor or a sub species of precursor it would make sense to say that they're communicating possibly with the supposed Neuro Physics that have been referenced in the books and other lore. As for Atriox he's not attained that level of knowledge to be able to use and/or perceive the concept of precursor Neuro Physics. So my assumption is he released the Endless or at least began the process before dying at the hands of Cortana leaving the Harbinger speaking potentially to another of her kind. All of this is pure speculation and in some cases I could be vastly wrong. Please Id love to hear everyone else's ideas 😁
Aatriox being alive kind of makes Cortana’s sacrifice feel useless. Granted she destroyed part of the ring, but if Aatriox somehow survived that explosion, who’s to say Cortana did as well in some fashion. All I want is her character’s end to mean something more than what we got. Because as much as I loved Infinite writing between her and Chief through the whispers, the ending felt unfulfilling. Everything being off screen, and not being able to hear Chief’s words on her sacrifice.
Dude he would’ve gotten the endless right there and then she delayed all of it by 6 months allowing chief to get to the ring and stop the harbinger who has been working for months. Easy reads right there man
The problem is Cortana sacrificing herself means something, like a redemption at the final moment for what she did wrong. Atriox dying outside of gameplay is just a quick death for a good character. In fact, if Cortana 'died' and Atriox didn't, it would be another reason for Master Chief to go out after Atriox. 'Cortana died to save us from you, and you didn't die. So I'll finish this fight.'
There’s something to the time theory. Chief loses 3 days for using the portal at the end. It’s possible Atriox was displaced out of time. It would be the best choice logically.
@@thecoastergnome8603 Offensive bias is who I believe was helping the weapon. I believe he’s going to be a big part of the Endless dlc. 343 is also working on updating the graphic level with Ray tracing and I believe that they eventually wil drop support for the older generation as far as updates, just like GTAV did.
As a long time halo fan.. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I need more. Thoughts… Atriox will learn that cortana equally screwed humanity and the harbinger used him to release the endless. Atriox will team with chief and we will have some sort of arbiter and chief level partnership aimed to take out the endless. It’s a hope. But learning that cortana destroyed their home world it totally puts the banished in another light, they aren’t just buttheads, they are reasonably hurt. I felt bad for them then.
Atriox, John, and Thel teaming up? Just imagine a cutscene with chief about to get swarmed and an enemy falls from the sky with Atriox shouting. Then Thel decloaks and ignites his energy sword and the three wordlessly explain to the endless why they are the Zeniths of each of their respective species.
I think the Endless are the part of the Precursors that have their higher learning and time manipulation skills. They need to merge with The Flood to restore the Precursors.
I think you're missing some things here. First of all, I don't think the endless are related to the precursors at all. Secondly, the silent auditorium WAS destroyed I believe (just look where it is on the map) and that during the 6 months since then, the reformation rebuilt it just barely enough.
I think the endless are somewhat related to the precursors. If you listen to the tapes, the harbinger says the line “Now I shall talk, you shall listen” Could just be a cool reference but the precursors usually talk the same. And since the flood are technically precursors, you could argue there is a link. Another thing is that after the medic basically talked to the harbinger for about an hour, he went insane due to all of the knowledge. This is exactly what happened to ancient humans with the primordial (the last precursor;the first flood gravemind). The only reason why I saw they are somewhat related to the precursors is because the precursors where very sensitive to the rings. So my theory is that they are some type of descendant of the precursors.
@@0121D0ONE The cylixes aren't PHYSICALLY in the auditorium, so destroying the auditorium doesn't essentially destroy the cylixes. And the reformation had been underway for a while by the time Master Chief is found by the pilot.
@@itschewsday5252 My theory is that the Endless were around during the time of precursors and sort of worshiped them as gods of sorts, and the Precursors gifted them with the ability to manipulate time in some way. Supported by the quote in the legendary ending: “Pyre: Time is not a construct we can control Grand edict: And it cannot be theirs” Referring to the Endless Cylixes, this could also mean that the Endless were the original inheritors if the mantle of responsibility. Before the forerunners wiped out the precursors which could explain why the forerunners claimed they were “more dangerous than the flood”. They never clarified in what way. So I assume they mean more dangerous for the forerunners as they’re a remnant of the precursors so they locked them away to retain their power.
You would think Cortana would've kept her shard nestled in the domain and just spun off a spike to deal with this part. Unless theres some story i don't know about.
Looks to me like were going to end up playing as atriox and gaining a friend just like the arbiter. Possibly the fact atriox is honestly not a bad guy but does what he does. Being forced into slaughter just like the arbiter was as a general. Possibly dealing with the endless or flood or both.
Yeah I mean he rebelled against the covenant just like the arbiter and his hatred for humanity is probably misguided because he thinks Cortana was the humans side. However I hope Chief gets another fight with him because he got embarrassed in that first fight and needs some redemption
This is correct, if you know much of halo lore we would know in gameplay the gravemind is able to speak to the master chief by mind and nobody knows that a voice was speaking, meaning the Harbinger has spoken to Atriox by mind while it seems she was talking to chief but chief didn't got what HE NEEDED he tried to stop the Harbinger. Another case of the gravemind able to speak someones mind without other hearing was in halo 2 with the arbiter.
I'm deeply interested in how they will use the control of time going forward. There is so much they could do with it if they think it through properly, including bring back past Halo characters.
I think the worst thing they could do is revive characters like Johnson or Noble 6 and whatnot. Time travel should be used very carefully to not to undo the consequences of the past games
If they drop a DLC plz bring Atriox back. It is unacceptable to have a Alien Ape with Jiren Strength beat the shit outta Master Chief for him to just wash away. Chief needs a Kratos Redemption fight. We need to see Weapons/vehicles from Halo wars. Chief needs to fight a Proto Gravemind & unlock anouther ability Librarian gave him. Cortana needs to leave a clue that Chief can find the Mantle thru data she left for him thru The Weapon.
I have a theory, it could be nothing though. I recon offensive bias was in charge of the engineers that were told to study the endless and figured out their time travel ability. Hence why the portal we go through to get us out at the end sends us forward in time by three days (if that is offensive bias that opened it).
So my theory is this. Cortana having taken control of Zeta Halo, learned that the reason that the Endless were so dangerous was because they could manipulate time to avoid the effects of the halo firing. The Foreunners having learned this, saw them as a threat and took steps to confine them, but just like with the flood they studied them, learned their abilities, and stored that knowledge on the Halo. (This isn't the first time they have done such a thing in their history) The Ur-Didact even mentioned a way to restore the Forerunners to greatness, this "Time Tech" could easily be that. Cortana having taken control of the ring, found this tech, but before being able to use it to whatever ends, was attacked by the UNSC Infinity, which did battle with the Guardian in the space above the ring. The UNSC Infinity won the battle but it's shields were drained. This just so happened to be when Atriox entered with his forces and attacked the drained Infinity. Then things play out like we know they did until... Cortana asks: "If you knew how you were going to die, how would you live your life differently?" Now cornered between the UNSC and the Banished, Cortana puts 2 plans into effect. 1. Her main plan: Using the tech she discovered she will send Atriox back in time (The ring exploding was a distraction/diversion) to just before the battle above Zeta Halo. Cortana has used the tech to see Atriox's death at the hands of MC but he is unconvinced. Atriox then uses the key given by Cortana to unlock the Endless at the same time that battle takes place above the Halo. This will come into play later. The Endless who are a sub-race of the Precursors (the ones who survived the genocide of the Foreunners and didn't turn themselves into the flood) are hell bent on revenge against the Foreunners and by extension reclaimers...ie Humans. Cortana's plan was one of desperation, having planned to use the Endless and the Banished to escape the ring and continue on her path to galactic control...UNTIL Atriox showed her John. Thinking him dead, she began PART 2 of her plan. 2. Her backup plan: Seeing John beaten, she began a backup plan. In two parts. First the one we know, she prepared for the possibility of John surviving and stopped "The Weapon" from deleting herself so that he could have a piece of her at his side. Meanwhile her second part was to personally go back in time and try to stop this entire mess (Human/Cov War) but she quickly realized that she wouldn't be able to do it alone. Needed a Vessel, she instead activated Offensive Bias to buy her time and help John. She then went 'dark' and blew up the ring to delay Atriox's plan of...galactic conquest?
This is super super cool but the only thing is I think atriox it’s to good of a villain to have chief beat him after we’ve seen that he’s no match for atriox, but I love this so much I think it would be worth it 😅
@@lucasschmitz4588 Wow, thanks I wasn't really expecting anyone to actually like my theory. Since this theory I've come up with a few others on how things are going to progress now since I've had some more time to analyze. Offensive Bias who is now helping Chief will tell him about the destroyed Infinity, a few new areas, maybe a desert or something. Meanwhile Offensive Bias will activate all of his other faces ie all of himself on the other installations...including...the ARK. In a bid to help MC and by extension stop the Endless and the Banished it is determined that skilled people are required. People who have fought the Banished before. He then opens a rift to the ARK and the Spirit of Fire comes through thinking it was opened by Anders for them. Now the UNSC have a Ship to base their ring-side operations from, but it isn't SUPER OVERPOWERED like the Infinity was. The Weapon and Isabelle can update one another, repair the ship. The survivors on the ring, spartans included can help upgrade the ancient ship and bring her back up to fighting capabilities. Heck even steal the damaged shield generators from the downed infinity and have them work at 50%. The story at that point can go anywhere 343i would want, it even sets up some new content for Halo Wars 3 if they decide to make one.
Supporting the theory a bit. the spartan 3 team on onyx was carried forward in time by a slip space bubble around the dyson sphere they portaled in to. that warped time to run slower than galactic time - Atriox may have entered such a portal at about the same time as the destruction of the silent auditorium. he would then exit that space - likely gathering the key he found along the way- 6 months later to find himself in a post-master chief situation.
I had thought Atriox was dead because of the opening cutscene. As he throws Chief there's flame behind him like an explosion and since he's in a hanger I was like "where tf is he gonna go?". So I was disappointed Atriox wasn't in infinite as the big bad but I'm also happy he wasn't in infinite cause he's be where esherum (however you spell it) is, dead.
Great video and info about the harbinger. Idk if u said it in video but the term Harbinger actually means…A person or thing that announces the approach of another..so yes I believe the harbinger is going to be like a pre cursor villain like how Escharum is to Atriox
I really hope Attriox is alive because he is such a badass even more than Master Chief in my opinion. He defied the covenant and became a force of power because of his will to fight and I really like that part of his character. I also really like the banishes faction because they have some absolute beasts on their side and they have the most dangerous character in all of halo…. YAP YAP THE DESTROYER. Really hope in the next game but I don’t want him to be a dlc villain unless he doesn’t die in the dlc because he deserves to be in a massive story for Master Chief to fight and to build his character a bit.
What's the likely hood that atriox did die but the harbinger saw enough strength in him to decide to clone him or travel back through time and pull him to the future and preserve his life. We do see a lot of time travel stuff in Infinite like when chief and new Cortana disappeared for 3 days
I knew the game telling me Atriox died was a load of BS, this took on the Flood and survived you really expect me to believe that he died at the hands of Cortana?
I thought the endless was just another name for the flood. Harbinger is a precursor and wants to find the “endless” to try and “undo” the sins of the forerunners, by curing the floors and bringing the precursors back. Atriox wanted to find the endless as well, and it seems like he may have stumbled across mendicant bias. If he could control bias, he, in theory, could control, or at least direct, the flood. Which would be insane for a dlc. Flood strikes controlled by atriox.
Eh I don't want the flood to be militarized by atriox. It kinda gets rid of the horror factor. Keep it as an infection that just spreads to everything. Nobody is safe. That is how the flood should be.
I don't know if you notice maybe its the light angle how it shines on his face but does Atriox looks a bit younger? Not just that but his white face paint is gone, wrinkles, beard looks more black and eyes look different too. You can compare Atriox face in multiple scenes from halo wars 2 and infinite as well. Even in holograms he still had his white face paint and greyish beard.
That's what I thought if the Endless have time control capability what if he was saved just before Cortana blows up the ring but he is Younger instead of being his older self.
Great video! 👏 Not sure if Jiralhanae is pronounced like that, not that it matters. So… this is how Chief and Cortana got like 3 days in the future after the last mission? 🤔
@@_Wizzo Just feels weird that there’s some timetravel thing going on there and I don’t see how would that even helped them. I mean I guess it makes sense that the route which most likely was opened by OB did also the time jump because if it happened in the battle with Harbinger Weapon would probably have noticed. 🤔 We’ll see I guess
From what I understand, the auditorium was destroyed by Cortana and it was the Harbinger’s focus to use the spires to rebuild that first. Also great job on these videos but I’d try and spend a bit more time on the audio volume. The cutscenes are very quiet and some videos are much quieter than most other channels
To pronounce "Jiralhanae" correctly, u can play halo wars 2 DLC 'awakening the nightmare' first mission, where Voridus says to his brother: "Where's you'r Jiralhanae lust for adventure?" (there's probably another instance, just doesn't come to mind)
I really think he didn't play (or even watch) Halo Wars 2 OR Halo Infinite, at least the campaigns. Just read up about them and made the video. Otherwise, "jiralhanae" and "Decimus" would both be pronounced correctly. They're both spoken multiple times in the games.
I thing we got an answer to who the endless are in the most recent book Halo: Outcasts. The technology matches we see the Endless use. There’s a Precursor connection. They were helped by the Precursors though. In exchange a remnant of the uncorrupted Precursors were hiding out on their world.
yes the harbinger is an endless. The reason she was located in a different Silex on a different part of the planet was she was the endless envoy or diplomat. The scene happens in 97,378 the firing of the Rings was 97,445 this was almost 100 years after the Rings were fired. The Rings were fired the forerunners had cleansed the galaxy of the flood and all sentient life besides the few forerunners hiding on shield worlds like the Grand Edict who is talking to the monitor of installation 07 in the cutscene. The Grand Edict who I'm assuming is like their king of the forerunners talks of a council of forerunners, "they might even still be around on a shield world". After the Rings had fired the forerunners were going about reseeding the Galaxy with life when they stumbled upon the very scared frightened and not knowing what the fuk was going on endless or xyleam or whatever the harbinger was called. The endless asked the forerunners for help and probably questioned them wondering what the hell happened to the entire galaxy and all the sentient life in it, possibly demonstrating time travel powers or something else to make the forerunners think they had control over time and can evade the Halo array. This scared the forerunners for two reasons, 1 if the flood ever assimilated an Endless they would have an immunity to the halo rings and two with the ability to control time the endless might be able to take over the mantle of responsibility from the forerunners. So the forerunners decided to lock the endless away and throw away the key and guard them using their most efficient destructive AI Offensice Bias who was even able to destroy the flood Ai mendicant bias. Atriox was sent back in time to release them when no one was around on the ring around 75 years after they were imprisoned and the ring had been fired so no one would be around to interrupt him in his task. Life had been reseeded throughout the galaxy but was still infantile and any forerunner presence was locked away on a shield world waiting for their autonomous robots and Ai to fix the galaxy.
So what about the other skimmers that you fight? We’re they all diplomats? I don’t think so. I wonder why all of them were not locked up. Or maybe she was able to some how create them or birth them after she was released. Not sure.
I don’t think it is related to firing of the ring or time travel because the rest of the banished fleet would be dead I think Hopefully it is not related to time travel because I hate it
Atriox learned all of those things about zeta halo while he was on the ark I believe and cortana specifically blew up the whole section of the ring that she was on which includes the silent auditorium, the whole purpose behind the activation of the spires was to rebuild it
I think that when cortana destroyed a bit of the ring he was in some sort of building what made him not die but just be un conscious then a norther banished clan or something like that found him and brought him back to life just like how echo 216 saved chief
We absolutely need story DLC. I mean we need coop and firefight desperately but story DLC is just as important at this point. So much left hanging at the end. Not to mention 343 did superb with the gameplay and world building. It’s perfectly set to accommodate further installments.
dlc is basically already confirmed also I noticed when I captured the last FOB the weapon said something like "you've retaken all available FOBs in range" hinting there's more out the not yet accessible
@@zaab-yaoh9302 you’re right, I noticed that dialogue as well. I also noticed in the audio logs that at least one SIV and possibly other UNSC personnel (maybe Lasky too) went up spin on the ring to try and avoid the bulk of Banished forces. So there are quite a few hints and references that would make story dlc possible.
@@irememberjeepz There's also the fact that there's a desert map in multiplayer, which could easily be expanded upon as a region of the ring. We also haven't gotten an arctic/winter biome, which is present on other rings.
except he's not, he's way more one-dimensional than the arbiter and has selfish ambitions. The arbiter understood diplomacy, Atriox is just big bad monke like 2 smash things
Atriox might become allies with Chief against the Endless and Arbiter returns and help Atriox and Chief destroy the endless. Most badass team of all time.
Atriox is not dead, no way in Hell. You don't beat Master Chief in a cutscene without being able to rip his arms off and beat him to death with them later in the story.
I thought this video was about what happened to him during infinite I've read all the comics and played halo wars two I just wanted to know what happed during the last game good video tho and really informative keep up the good work mate
Probably after the first cutscene atriox was found by a banished ship and he got picked up and the crew saved atriox. Probably after that the crew and atriox kept it silent and to rise up and see what would happen
I feel like a small detail that no one talks about is the lack of war paint on atrioxs face. Could be nothing but could indicate he’s a younger version of himself. Idk let me know ur thoughts
He also has a new burn as well. On the right when looking at him in the legendary ending cutscene. He didn't have it before from what I can notice. Even looking at him when he kicks red team in

ok so i have two theories, first it is Atriox; except before he "died" he was caught in a time thing that sent him back in time where he was locked up just like the Harbinger was and was released sometime towards the end. Now my second theory is that its not Atriox at all; i think the Endless are not the Precurssors but are just differeant alien races who were jailed before the flood was even a thing, it cant be the precurssors bc the Harbinger told master chief that they were the chosen ones, but the precurssors in lore were said to have deemed humanity as the chosen species. srry if any of my terminology is a little off
I'm a bit behind, but has anyone addressed why Atriox's eyes changed from the opening cutscene to the legendary ending? In the opening the eyeball was white and he had green irises. In the ending cutscene, it looks like he has the same black eyes and red irises that Escharum had
The silent auditorium was where cortana sacrificed herself and it was why those stupid machines needed to be shut down they were rebuilding it remember?
Back then, I could understand that in-game (back in Halo Wars 1) you send in 20 2-brute squads (2 x 20 = 40) to level someone's base, but you're right when you say that the Covies should have simply glassed human fortifications, instead of needlessly emptying packs of brutes like so much worthless ammo. Somebody should really expand on this lore (broken glassing beams? budget? Somebody knowing a secret they shouldn't? Blood Orgy?) so we understand what's really going on.
I believe the prophets were scared of the brutes alpha mentality so sent them of to early deaths before one tried to claim dominance over the prophets, like what we see happen if attriox after he lives to long.
I feel there gonna approach him in a dlc or some sort of why like halo wars two when the banished had there own campaign which I feel there gonna do the same for atriox play as him or an elite showing how he survived and how he got to the past to release the endless and maybe capture fobs as banished to summon banished weapons and vehicles for a banished campaign 😀
A lot of contradictory information regarding Atriox in the game, is he really alive? We still don't know for sure. I guess that just makes it all the more intriguing where future content will bring us in the story. With such an incredibly short campaign and many unknowns, I'm hoping for a lot more brought to the game in the near future.
@@_Wizzo It's in the campaign level description (hit 'Y' on Tacmap). Can't recall exact mission but one involving her. It refers to her as seeking to release 'her species' or something akin to that.
Why is Atriox much younger at the very end of the last cutscene of Halo: Infinite? His hair is black & face is less aged. Compared to the start of the game his hair is aging white when he plays patty-cake with Chief
I dont think they would put atroix on a dlc bc thats kidda a main game plot but idk and i think the harbinger can just predict his moments bc the hole time thing is just out there and i dont think they had the tech to time travel and with all the talk abt time i dont rekon she could
I have a theory: imagine if the reason why we see atriox in 1st person is because he will be playable in the next halo game or campaign dlc? that would be so sick, also with the return of the arbiter
Not sure about the timeline you propose... I'm reasonably sure that Atriox was missing before the harbinger was found. When you capture an FOB in the southwest of the map, Weapon says that Esherum focused most of his excavation efforts there before he learned where the Conservatory was from The Harbinger. Between this and the fact that the banished had been inside the Conservatory "for days" implies that there was a gap between Atriox disappearing and The Harbinger being released. This does raise the question "who was The Harbinger talking to at the end of her boss fight?" But that is supposed to be mysterious at this point. But I might be off base, I'm still hunting audio logs and might be missing something.
Yeah, it’s kinda Unknown, but my reasoning is that the Harbinger is speaking with Atriox at the end, so I feel like they’re working together… I could be wrong though!
Well escharam (out however you spell it) told the harbinger that atriox put his faith in her so he will too. That means atriox met the harbinger before

We assuming the ending is chronologically correct. How do we know the ending isn't something like a flash back? Akin to a motivating factor? Eshecrum says that Atriox put his faith in the Harbinger, which implies they previously met. Therefore, we can assume the legendary ending is what set the events into motion.
I like atriox because when he was the only one who had returned from a war out of 40 brutes, he was ready to take on all the covenant around him and once he easily defied his execution, he inspired all the other brutes around him and demolished the covenant 🔥

To be fair, mendicate bias was taken apart.
The Forunner ship in Halo 2 has a piece in it when you read the books.

Would love to see Jerome and chief fuck shit up together

That's why she refers to herself as 'a messenger', and in the final battle she calls herself 'The Harbinger of Truth', which could mean that she is the 'bringer of the truth about the Endless/Xalanyn' ot something else we still don't know
His face has always been half scarred/wounded since he was first shown in HW2.
Harbinger is an endless. After you beat the game go to the map. Hover the cursor over the auditorium. Read the description.
Imagine if in a dlc you played as atriox, just to feel how strong he really is. Would never happen but would be cool as shit
Why not? Halo is known for letting you play as characters other than the main character
The silent auditorium was destroyed. That's like the whole point of the banished protecting the reformation spires so that it will get rebuilt.
Like Escharum, I feel Atroix is well aware (if not outright more informed than the former) of the Harbinger's half-truths and true intentions and knows more about the "Endless" than we think. . .
;) whoops ... golden guns atriox with 1 shot XD
I really hope Atriox is alive.
He's almost, if not on, Chief's level of badass
He's the baddest of the Brutes, probably the most powerful Brute and Master Chief is the best of the Spartans.
he is alive. Legendary ending remember
wym almost? he utterly destroyed the chief and left him for dead. in minutes.
@@jackgrove4621 not just legendary ending
That's actually the parallel chief was thought dead but survived and showed up 6 months ago, atriox was thought dead but shows up 6 months ago at ending of the game.
I think it’s weird that no one’s mentioned the fact that atrocity just looks younger at the end of the game, he has no face tattoos and his beard is fully black with no grey in it.
His face looks damage to me.
someone else thank u shares nothing with atriox in looks
He looks severely injured and half of his face is burned
If you never see the death, I always assume they're still alive. Especially with antagonists/villains.
Easy reads right there man
@@carsondarling3402 I completely agree
Blowing up the ring only temporarily stops the bad guy and eventually makes things worse. Cortana should know that by now. 🙄
Agreed. I think this whole story is AWESOME! But feels so anti climatic seeing the story thru flask backs. I want to see it happen in real time
The problem is Cortana sacrificing herself means something, like a redemption at the final moment for what she did wrong.
Also when the harbinger is talking to Atriox right before she dies, the weapon mentions that the signal she is communicating is and I quote very old.
Hummm didnt think about that at all. Good catch
@@thechicagobox Hopefully its ray traced global illumination and not crap like reflections. Halo infinite already has good reflections.
Every other spartan punching Atriox once and stopping
Master Chief punching Atriox till he punches him back
As a long time halo fan.. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I need more. Thoughts…
Atriox will learn that cortana equally screwed humanity and the harbinger used him to release the endless. Atriox will team with chief and we will have some sort of arbiter and chief level partnership aimed to take out the endless. It’s a hope. But learning that cortana destroyed their home world it totally puts the banished in another light, they aren’t just buttheads, they are reasonably hurt. I felt bad for them then.
that would be pretty sick.

Hearing Atriox being the only survivo makes me think he was corner camping the whole time.
I would think that too but he's showed plenty of times that he's an absolute unit
If you listen to the tapes, the harbinger says the line
“Now I shall talk, you shall listen”
Could just be a cool reference but the precursors usually talk the same.
The silent auditorium wasn't destroyed. If that was the case, the cylixes would be lost. You even see it on the map. From the get go.
@@0121D0ONE The cylixes aren't PHYSICALLY in the auditorium, so destroying the auditorium doesn't essentially destroy the cylixes. And the reformation had been underway for a while by the time Master Chief is found by the pilot.
@@itschewsday5252
My theory is that the Endless were around during the time of precursors and sort of worshiped them as gods of sorts, and the Precursors gifted them with the ability to manipulate time in some way. Supported by the quote in the legendary ending:
“Pyre: Time is not a construct we can control
Grand edict: And it cannot be theirs”
Referring to the Endless Cylixes, this could also mean that the Endless were the original inheritors if the mantle of responsibility.
I really hope that he comes back to get the 2nd round of that fight, he did chief in such a dirty way.
Facts
(This isn't the first time they have done such a thing in their history)
The Ur-Didact even mentioned a way to restore the Forerunners to greatness, this "Time Tech" could easily be that.
Broooooooo please get a job at 343 as a writer oh my god id shit my pants if that was the story
This is super super cool but the only thing is I think atriox it’s to good of a villain to have chief beat him after we’ve seen that he’s no match for atriox, but I love this so much I think it would be worth it 😅
@@daddytarkus4343 How about after spending all that time on Zeta and getting the upgrades?
@@darthrange1 so like you def need to be a writer for this game man this would be absolutely insane
1:45 I think you meant to say - antagonist
Escharum
You're welcome :D
Jiralhanae is literally the proper name of the brute's species. Like how the proper name of human is Homo Sapiens.
You can go read summary of a mission after it over. harbinger is endless and u can read that in game
Then way wasn’t she locked up with the rest of the endless?
@@ProfessorHobo right. I can see that. That’s why I also mentioned him just kind of “directing” them as well.

Atriox felt betrayed, will join Chief temporarily to fight against a greater evil.
yes the harbinger is an endless.
Not sure.
But the forerunners were all gone after the rings fired, how could they know the endless survived?

I don’t think it is related to firing of the ring or time travel because the rest of the banished fleet would be dead I think
Hopefully it is not related to time travel because I hate it

I have a feeling Atriox will eventually be an ally, like the Arbiter.
Video on this today, I’ve just had a brain explosion haha
Atriox learned all of those things about zeta halo while he was on the ark I believe and cortana specifically blew up the whole section of the ring that she was on which includes the silent auditorium, the whole purpose behind the activation of the spires was to rebuild it
I think that when cortana destroyed a bit of the ring he was in some sort of building what made him not die but just be un conscious then a norther banished clan or something like that found him and brought him back to life just like how echo 216 saved chief

ok so i have two theories, first it is Atriox; except before he "died" he was caught in a time thing that sent him back in time where he was locked up just like the Harbinger was and was released sometime towards the end.
I believe the prophets were scared of the brutes alpha mentality so sent them of to early deaths before one tried to claim dominance over the prophets, like what we see happen if attriox after he lives to long.
good video I really enjoyed it.
Agreed... DLC 1 will rather be EPIC or really confusing lol
I’m hoping to see three new banished vehicles, marauder, wraith invader, and Either Reever or Blisterback, and maybe the banished Spiker.
I think that this was before atreox found the cases of so many
You know thanks to this tittle i know he's alive now
If im not wrong the right hand of atriox is made of metal, probably losed in combat, and in the cinematic It isnt
He uses a gauntlet
The game audio in this video is so quiet you can barely hear it. Also, the game itself explicitly states Harbinger is part of the Endless.
Where?
@@_Wizzo It's in the campaign level description (hit 'Y' on Tacmap). Can't recall exact mission but one involving her. It refers to her as seeking to release 'her species' or something akin to that.
Nobody needs to repair the ring, the ring repairs itself. It has repaired itself multiple times before.
Why is Atriox much younger at the very end of the last cutscene of Halo: Infinite? His hair is black & face is less aged. Compared to the start of the game his hair is aging white when he plays patty-cake with Chief
i thought he looked off too, maybe its just that he isnt wearing warpaint and thats making him look young
Half his face is burnt in the ending scene. I assume from the Cortona blast he survived.
Didnt the game hint at the ring artifacts being some kind of time travel device?
The Banished make me think of Space Alien Vikings
Gotta do something about that high frequency sound your mic makes when you talk into it....
Idk why but you annoy me way less than hiddenxperia (that's a weird compliment but I promise I mean it well), keep up the good work!
Haha, thank you bro. Luke is the real MVP though!
That means atriox met the harbinger before
@@wesleyowens4089 lots of people put their faith in people they've never met. Its a good point, but I dont think it necessarily means they had to have met. ...but idk I haven't played in months so mu lore knowledge is rusty.
@@kylehibshman6619 that's a fair point I hadn't thought about it that way
@@wesleyowens4089 it's still posible that I dont know what I'm talking about lol I guess well find out in 2 years when they finally get around to expanding the campaign lol
The Harbinger is an Endless, they're all part of the Xalanyn species.
Well actually jiralhanae is the name of the brute species and not just what the covenant called them, similar to the unggoy and sangheili.
Jiralhanae is latin for wild slave, not a name given by the covenant. They named themselves
Yes. But it was what the covenant called them. It was made up by them but they called them that.
that is the name of the species, not the covenant classification.
So basically she has Hit's time skip from DBS
Lol pretty much
1:35 😂😂😂 that's my birthday. Cool.
Not a huge deal, but I think jiralhanae is pronounced jair-ill-HA-nay :)
My reference is Halo Canon
The amount of time I had to retake y saying it, I just have up at the end😂
I really hope we get a scarab in dlc.
Atriox is definitely alive, but you know what I'd like to see in the next Halo game, the Chief and the Arbiter teaming up to take down Atriox!
The Silent Auditorium was rebuilt by the Harbinger, that’s why Cortana’s blast didn’t destroy it completely
