    Right on time! I just dropped my husband off to the airport this morning for Germany and me, the kids, and our dog will be going in 3 weeks.

    Thanks for all of the great information! Me and my husband will be moving to Germany shortly, just waiting on amended orders. All of your videos are so helpful. I didn't have a very good idea of what to bring in flight baggage/UB/HHG and this helped me get an idea of what I will need. Please keep making these videos and thank you so much!

    It’s also good to point out that at any time when you feel items aren’t being inventoried correctly or logged into the packing list to contact TMO inspector. Had this occur where several boxes/furniture weren’t annotated . Packing was stopped and boxes without it repacked. Also make sure your trash is empty …it will be packed otherwise and move with you. I moved many times and no move is the same hence this is why I’m educating myself again for our upcoming move! Great video thank you!

    Do you have a video on receiving HHG? Tips and tricks with the movers, housing, unpacking, assembling furnitures and getting rid of all the cardboards?

      Unfortunately I don't (yet) 🫣 Great question though, I'm throwing it on the "to do" list.

    Great videos and information. As for other things to possibly cover, help with phone usage in Germany/Europe and differences in EUSEUR drivers license and an international drivers license. Vehicle inspection and registration comes to mind as well.

    UB is not based on rank.
    It’s based on location.

    Hey! So Air Fryers won't blow up? How long does HHG take if you are going solo and way under 1,000 pds? This has been so helpful. WOW

    • @DTVDanielTelevision
      @DTVDanielTelevision  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks for watching! Your air fryer won’t blow up IF the plug is compatible with 220V outlets. Check the actual cord itself. Number 20 will give you some examples 👍🏾

    Question? I always hear the horrors of shipping your HHG
    Where do you recomend sending your clothes? And shoes?
    Just with you in your personal luggage?
    Or is it fine with UAB ? How is HHG different from UAB?
    A lot of airlines offer up to 5 free checked bags. Would you suggest taking as much as you can with you THEN UAB? And the rest HHG?

    • @DTVDanielTelevision
      @DTVDanielTelevision  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My recommendation: Take your favorite, most worn shoes and up to 3-4 weeks of clothes with you in your personal luggage. Definitely take advantage of all the free checked bags the airline offers. EVERYONE PCSing overseas has a crazy amount of luggage, it's a completely normal thing. Secondary clothes/shoes goes in UAB, but don't overdue it. You want to save room for all the other things I mentioned to bring in UAB (non clothing stuff). Everything else in HHG. Personal luggage obviously goes with you, so that's priority 1. UAB is "supposed to" get there next (by plane) so it's priority 2. HHG takes the longest (by boat), so it's priority 3. I hope that helps!

      Thanks for the reply!
      Wow, so that’s the way to do it.
      I keep going back to Germany, first 2 times as Air Force 2004-2006, then 2011-2014. Both at Ramstein.
      Now going to Graf as a GS, hopefully 5 years this time.
