Sir you are a REAL ONE! We were stationed in Baumholder in 2007 and now have orders for Graf. I'm extremely anxious and while I'm face palming about the size difference (these smaller rooms with slanted roofs AND small master baths)I'm so grateful that I don't have to walk into these places shocked. Thank you so very much!
Graf is amazing! The px is amazing, there's bus service to the post. Also there's a girl station in netzaberg so there's no reason to go onto pay for a quick trip. We moved from Schweinfurt
Very accurate, helpful and informative vlog on Netz housing for sure! I've been enjoying all your vlogs and definitely use them as a resource before and during our PCS transition. Thank you for your service!
Don't wanna be rude or disrespectful, however, she's just there to show, stay home, choose the right vehicle, smell, and....u name it. Great job girl 👌
I LOVE THE KITTEHZ!! They're like ... "Wow! We've got visitors!" Are they Bengals?? Daniel ... HOLY COW!! I am blown away!! Those are VERY NICE quarters!!
One great option for cell phone is Google Fi. Port your phone over before you PCS overseas and keep your US number. Make your calls over Whatsapp or Signal, etc. Doesn't cost any more to use cellular internet overseas than in the US, and they use Deutsche Telekom's (TMobile) network (Sprint and TMobile in US). Regular network phone calls from overseas are 20c/min, so not ridiculous.
A key feature of Google Fi is pro-rated fees if you use WiFi enough. My bills some months the last year were half because I was at the house on WiFi mostly. Also, create a profile (new Gmail address) for Germany, too, so you can use Germany-only apps. The last one I read about WRT the COVID vax app for Germany. BTW, went all over Europe in 17-18 from Hohenfels and Graf using Google Fi service on a Pixel, including using the DB app for train tix. Picked up a Pixel 3 in 19 half price off Amazon back here in the States, and still running it.
I like these Housings but my Parents just build a house 20 miles away from Grafenwoehr so my parents have to drive me 20mins to Netzaberg so i can visit my friends. lg Yannis
Very cool Daniel. I can't wait to get back to the Graf area and chill for a few days whenever Germany lets Americans in again :). I will be on the next flight out whenever that happens lol lol.
Hey, Daniel! I have a few questions. I have 3 cats and I heard I am limited to 2 pets only? Just wanted to confirm that. Also, I drive a 3 in lifted, Tayota Tundra. Based on your other videos, I noticed many cars or SUVs. Will I be allowed to bring my truck? or what do you suggest?
Hey there 👋🏾 There’s a 2 Pet max in USAG Bavaria but there’s definitely ways around that rule (officially and unofficially 😉). You could apply for an ETP (exception to policy) or you could bring two and one later (unofficial advice 😊). There are many families with 3 pets here, you could also ask members in a local fb group about how they wiggled their way around the “rule.” You can learn more about this on my pet blog: www.dtvdanieltelevision.com/2020/02/04/pcs-to-germany-with-pets/ Trucks: you can bring your Toyota tundra 😊 However, be aware of any modifications you may have because you’ll need to pass an inspection to get registered. As a general rule, I don’t recommend bringing a truck, but you can definitely get away with one here. Depending on where you’re stationed, you’ll run into issues off base in parking garages, parking spots, narrow country roads, and driving downtown. Autobahns and on base driving will be fine. You can learn more in my POV blog: www.dtvdanieltelevision.com/2019/11/04/pcs-to-germany-welcome-to-grafenwoehr-checklist-shipping-a-car-overseas/
That’s completely up to you. I’ve seen people bring the big freezers, but just keep in mind your weight allowances. Also, most people use the company Culligan to deliver their water jugs out here (on/off base). You can exchange them on base at all the shoppettes (gas stations).
Well... to be honest, I've been here 7yrs and I don't know anyone who has actually brought their American washer/dryer over. The loaner washer/dryer is American spec so I wouldn't bring your own. However, you could ask other spouses if they've brought their own in the fb group page: facebook.com/groups/Grafenwoehr.Vilseck.Army.Wives/
Usually yes, but during COVID your sponsor is “supposed to” provide you with two housing options. Not sure if this is still the case but you can learn more about housing requirements on our blog here: www.dtvdanieltelevision.com/2021/03/03/grafenwoehr-germany-military-housing/
Hey my wife and I are moving to Germany soon. If it’s just her and her wife how did they get a 3 bedroom off post ? Like is her wife E5 or up ? Or they just lucked out
This couple just got randomly assigned to Netz when they signed up for housing. The neighborhood isn't necessarily dictated by rank, the community is filled with couples who are privates, officers, and everything in between. You can definitely request that area with housing to see if there's availability when you get here.

You’re absolutely welcome my friend! I’m happy I can calm the nerves for you!

Don't wanna be rude or disrespectful, however, she's just there to show, stay home, choose the right vehicle, smell, and....u name it. Great job girl 👌

Thanks for the info, I plan to make a video about this soon so this is helpful 👍🏾

@@DTVDanielTelevision Thank you so much for that information! This makes it easier for me to start preparing if I get the civilian position there!
My family used to live there
I understand not bringing the washer/dryer, but what about a deep freezer and a primo 5 gallon water dispenser?
That’s completely up to you. I’ve seen people bring the big freezers, but just keep in mind your weight allowances. Also, most people use the company Culligan to deliver their water jugs out here (on/off base). You can exchange them on base at all the shoppettes (gas stations).
How did you get information on which floor plan the house is? I am curious as to which floor plan we have.
Hey 👋🏽 Just ask housing. Give them your address and they’ll give you the floor plan and specs 😊
@@DTVDanielTelevision awesome! Thanks!
So I remember her saying the table under the staircase was furniture that the army provides do they take that once your stuff arrive?
Yes they do! You just need to schedule a pick up time/date with housing
@@DTVDanielTelevision oh okay sweet thanks.
Do you have any videos of erbendorf housing?
I don’t actually. Been meaning to hit that neighborhood up so thanks for the reminder 👍🏾
I am from the Baumholder area, born and raised and now I live in Netz. It is sooo much better than Baumholder 😂😂
Sounds like I need to check out Baumholder and see what they hype is all about 😂
MagicJack is also a phone option.
So, if we brought our American washer and dryer over, would we be able to use them there?

Do these houses have a garage?
Yep! 20:43 👍🏾
dont worry there are plenty of spouses who are willing to share space once their significant other deploys.
Is there an electrical outlet in the garage?
Yes I believe European outlets 👍🏾
Do you have to wait until you get there to get housing?
Usually yes, but during COVID your sponsor is “supposed to” provide you with two housing options. Not sure if this is still the case but you can learn more about housing requirements on our blog here: www.dtvdanieltelevision.com/2021/03/03/grafenwoehr-germany-military-housing/
One AFN used to be the only option.
Please remember 50 Hz and 120 is 60
Hz
I would still live on the German economy instead of Netzaberg
