Hey bro.. I just bought the polini 60mm kit.. How much squish you think i should set it? 0,8 i think is to much for a new cylinder and piston at least for the first 5 gas tanks that you take it easy.. Id like your opinion
Depends what head you're going to be using. I think Polini BBK come with their own cylinder head don't they? If so you'll have to find out what squish is recommended for a safe compression ratio. I dont know much about the polini so can't say sorry
+Rafael Mouratidis best of emailing Polini. I wouldn't like to say run 0.8 or whatever incase its going to give massive CR. The polini head is unknown to me
HELP PLEASE! I bought the same 140cc cylinder for my Rotax DD2 engine, so far the lap times are identical to the 125cc cylinder, I’m so so frustrated it, what’s wrong, shouldn’t I be a bit faster with the 140cc than with the 125cc? The only thing I haven’t checked is the squish, should I check ?
+Anton Zhushi mate there's so many individual parts hard to list them all The head is from BC Engineering, you have to message them on facebook to buy one. Price was about £110 i think. The 140cc cylinder is an Italkit big bore kit you can buy these from PJME for £370. Then there was an additional £160 worth of port work done to the cylinder and crank cases by Greg Durkiewicz The crankshaft is a rare item and i found it on eBay. Paid £120 for the crank then £120 extra to rebuild it with a new rod and bearings at PJME. Then the clutch discs and Ti bolts were from BC engineering and cost £60 The lightened flywheel was done by myself but can be purchased at £45 I used SKF C4 main bearings and C3 gearbox bearings, cost £60 Used athena bottom end oil seals cost £20 The rest of the engine is standard rotax 122 parts
+Anton Zhushi yeah thats just the majority of the engine stuff. There was other costs, new balace shaft gears, oil, cylinder hone ect and also Zeeltronic CDI, programmer and quickshifter was another few hundred £
+Rafael Mouratidis if its brand new it should come with 40 pilot 160 main. First thing you should do is put the needle clip on the top notch then go for a test ride. If you're using a panel filter it might be abit rich. So try 158 or 155 mains
+Harun h. Absolutely no idea xD The company i bought my cylinder head, Ti clutch bolts and clutch discs from; Bc Engineering dyno'd a bike with very similar set up using a very similar ignition map and got 37.51rwhp. So that's the only figure i have as a reference but in reality as every dyno reads differently it could be anywhere between 30-40hp. Hopefully closer to 40 than 30 :P
+Harun h. They managed 37.51 running 4 deg less advance, a milder port map, a 34mm carb and no tuned crankcases so it should have potential to beat their run
2TMVloggin'RS So, one more question. What was the top speed when it was stock ? I've seen a lot of top speed videos of this bike but didn't know if they done mods or not.
+Harun h. Before any porting or anything just running standard phbh28 carb, arrow exhaust, piperX panel filter and boyesen reeds i never seen more than 96mph on the speedo. On the last build with my old spec i got 110mph. most of the mods and tuning don't really add any topspeed. The only reason i never hit 100 with standard full power is because i never held it wide open long enough, it takes ages on a standard bike to get over 100
+Harun h. doubt ill get much more than 110 with this build. maybe 112 or something but it'll get there a hell of a lot quicker and probably try to kill me in the process. The front wheel is going to be hard to keep on the floor, it was very flighty with the old set up, almost flipped it a couple of times
+matto809 Hi mate, of course i can. The videos are fine when i play them though, through my speakers and headphones more than loud enough. I will make the next video louder though
very simple explanation, well done mate :)
cant u use diffrent size gaskets instead of scraping off the head?
You do not get detonations from the squishband, but it can happen in the combustionchamber if compression ratio is to high
Hey man, not sure if you're still answering comments on this old video but does the italkit fit with the original head
what chicle do u use in your carburettor?
what squish would you recomend to not get detonation on 95

Yeah it does with its own biger chamber head.. Ive tried to find the recomended squish but cant find any refrence.

hey broo have you seen the New cylinder head 140cc from italkit
recomended squish for this cylinder is 1.10 as i says on the kit
HELP PLEASE!

Loool...You´re not so smart i think
Are you running standard crank
There is no other cranks for rotax except the original one.
Do i install rave as normal when i have 140cc italkit or do i have to do somehting?
you need a 1.5mm spacer with 140cc italkit
As Finnish i have no clue what does that mean :/ Do you mean that i need 1.5mm gasket under the cylinder ooor what :/
You have to raise the rave 1,5 mm. A 1,5 plate between the rave and the cylinder on the outside where you screw it in.
The spacer comes with the kit, it’s a metal thing.
How much u've paid for all of it.
Do u maybe have any parts list or some basket u can send to me .
And nicely done man.
+Anton Zhushi What do you want to know the price of?
+2TMVloggin'RS
like the whole engine
Top end and bottom end
+Anton Zhushi mate there's so many individual parts hard to list them all

Very expensive though but i think it worths it

What carb are you using and what number main jet bro?
I'm using a Lectron 38mm adjustable Powerjet carb. Lectron carbs don't use any jets :)
On a delorto 34 which jet you would recomended for the first start and then go on leaner or richer?

How much horsepower it will produce when it's rebuilt ?

Can you make your videos louder? they are always so good but so quiet
+matto809 Hi mate, of course i can. The videos are fine when i play them though, through my speakers and headphones more than loud enough. I will make the next video louder though
Im getting to the point where my bike needs a rebuild have you got any tips to make one last a long time?
Use a good quality piston and run premix. Premix will make the engine last alot longer and also the powervalve alot longer
ok thankyou mine is still fully restricted will this make any difference
derestrict it :DD
