I just returned home from visiting my dad in Cairo As he works over there, the part of the city he lives in is called maadi, we visited this church and passing through the streets was a very interesting experience, all the little children would smile at you and wave, great cultural experience 🇪🇬
Always great to get an honest, unfiltered experience of a place. Obviously it’s nicer/ more pleasurable in the more comfortable and beautiful areas but it’s important we remember there’s always another side to places 👏🏻🙌🏻
It's not always going to be luxurious . Meeting locals from all walks of life gives a true flavor of daily life. A great video to get you outside your comfort zone. Sending you much love and affection ❤❤❤ Harriet, Jim and Yuki Richmond, Va.
Fascinating video once again and you're fast becoming a total favourite to watch. I love the enthusiasm but equally the non judgemental unbiased reporting side of it too. Excellent stuff as always! ❤️
Great video guys. I've been to Cairo twice and had no idea. Good information. That church was very cool, will search it out if I ever make it to Egypt again.
Really interesting video!!! I felt sorry for the cow living it’s life on the rooftop with nowhere to exercise, eat grass, or even be with another cow… We went to Egypt in 2010 , one month before the Revolution. Never again, got far too hassled…. You handle it very well ❤️
Hi guys, wow I can't believe that city with all that rubbish, thanks for sharing I didn't know about it so interesting to see how people live and work there,it goes to show its not all tourists places they want us to see so realistic and so much respect to them, have a great day X
i just find it interesting why tourists are leaving the thousands of things you can do in egypt and go look for garbage cities. but the church is pretty cool
What an experience to be shown around the slum area..fascinating seeing it all...thank you for sharing something that i never knew exsisted.I bet you enjoyed a good shower after that lol x
"Recycle City" is perhaps more accurate and dignified than "Garbage City". You guys really do rock the world! I appreciate your content. This bloody Yank is looking forward to seeing you lovely Limeys in Mexico 🙂

I’ve been following your videos planning my trip to Egypt and now the war in Israel started. My wife doesn’t want me to take my son now. I’ve already booked my flight. What do you guys think about this?? Thank you!
@dabbleandtravel hi guys I’m in Cairo and was going to garbage city today! Did u do it alone? Or did u arrange for that guy to show u around in the houses etc? Let me know who I should contact, great video!
Wow lots of garbage be safe you don’t even know the smell your can smell the jerm sorry and you guys are so brave and a great video sending my love for your guy’s there vibes and very nice care and always be safe 🥰🥰🥰
No they’re only interested in show casing the filthiest filth of Egypt. “It’s new and interesting” to them and their viewers. It’s like going to the zoo but in this case it’s a human zoo where these voyeurists go and get all shocked of the inhumane conditions in third world countries that were once colonies of their own empires.

Why would someone go there even Egyptians don’t go there. I am wondering why did you decide to go there and post a video like that. What exactly were you thinking to promote? I think Egypt has many beautiful places and deserve to be seen a promoted more than this side.
Ive known lots of things about Egypt but I didnt know this. Shame on the govt for not dealing with the garbage as they should and left it to the people completely though.
😂😂 hardly. These places have organised tours for a reason. If you watch the video you’ll find they earn a lot of money but choose to live in this way. The whole point of travelling is to learn about different cultures and people.
Yeah, Tunisia’s population is about 10% that if Egypt’s. So the whole country is smaller than Alexandria. Let alone Cairo. And yet still it’s poverty stricken and on the verge of complete economic collapse. Government can’t handle a population of 12 million and leaves millions in utter misery. If you don’t know what poverty looks like in Tunisia, maybe you should visit the areas that are more inland not the coastal areas… total wasteland.
LYou both come across as lovely people. Remind me of students in Leeds. Quite cute. Strong willed, confident but so naively unaware of how uncultured you both are it’s so hilarious to watch. Anyways, you’ve got a subscriber in me, here for the cringe 🤣🤣

Because it’s giving a lesson also, I just find it beautiful ppl how positif they are even with all these conditions.
Exactly! Also because this is extremely unique especially with the church in the mountain. We weren’t the only tourists there haha

@dabbleandtravel it is like going to a homeless town in London or LA and enjying the poverty
They want to attract the attention of the audience and make Egypt look bad, Egypt is the mother of the world
Thanks for your very enjoyable and varied videos. Adventure on!!!

It’s actually a tour you can do, it’s historic and unique. Open your mind a little 🥰
As an Egyptian Muslim This is what happens daily.
Well atleast you just have to clean things up and it becomes a city in no time.....
who is that girl in your right arm?
Ive known lots of things about Egypt but I didnt know this. Shame on the govt for not dealing with the garbage as they should and left it to the people completely though.
These people would burn the city down if the garbage business is taken from them. You’re too naive..
Sure the government should help but those poor people depend on that to survive...Sad but true.

What’s the point of going to a slum?! Why would anyone wanna go to a slum? Is it like going to the zoo when you were little kids?
The culture of this area is very unique. Sometimes in life you have to learn about areas and cultures. 🙌
It is paradise compare to the slumps in India.
Basically every country has these type of Areas

your honesty is admirable bc you give us the true reality and help thousands of your viewers to not be misled and be victims of scams in Egypt 🙌👏👏👏🙌
Thank you Sam!
The scammers here are starving and they need the money to feed their families. At least you 1st worlders should be more sympathetic.
im suprised you donot wear mask
It wasn’t necessary! And that can be offensive to the locals 🥰

It's not the coptic christians choice to be garbage collectors, it's a tiny aspect of the descrimination they face for forteen centuries.
