  • The Stock Clutch Packs were smoked from the hard hitting Launches so it was time to pull the Diff and Upgrade to something much better for a Fraction of the Price of the Eaton TrueTrac

    Nice, I had installed a ford 8.8 S spring in my rear when rebuilt my clutch packs. Both wheels feels like a locker

      That's what we installed too haha I should've thrown that in there. Feels like a locker for sure sometimes. I love it

    how do you like those clutch packs? too aggressive for the street? did you later on add more friction modifier?

    • @The1st60ft
      @The1st60ft  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Clutch packs have been awesome. Only time you can tell how tight they are is when you are backing out of the driveway slowly and wheels turned, then it feels like a spool. Which I don't mind. Other than that you can't tell. Its really an experiment right now to see how long they last vs the more expensive Eaton option. I didn't add any more no. Just threw Lucas Synthetic Rear Diff Fluid in from the start

    Do u have to do all this to remove the cover or just by removing the exhaust will be fine ? Need to change the Rear Axle Housing Cover Gasket

    • @The1st60ft
      @The1st60ft  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You probably just have to remove the exhaust and the rear cover bolt for that

    Nice video. How does that Camaro Central clutch kit compare to stock? Do you know how much preload it has?
    Im installing a set. They recommend 300# but can go up to 400#. Not sure if thats too tight?

    • @The1st60ft
      @The1st60ft  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure exactly the number because No Time Racecars did the install but I know it was pretty tight. If you have the wheels turned and start to go it feels like a locker for a second before it unlocks lol I love how the bite

    Can you post a video of the 140 pull now

    • @The1st60ft
      @The1st60ft  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Soooooo I tried to do a back to back pull 3.27 vs 3.91s buttt the car doesn't hit 140mph anymore. It topped out at 120mph at the top of 4th and didn't wanna shift into 5th being an overdrive gear

    • @locdog957
      @locdog957 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Man making me some 2nd thoughts about doing 3.91 gears my setup is pretty similar to yours

    • @The1st60ft
      @The1st60ft  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@locdog957 I wouldn't. I'm making a vid how I actually went slower with the gears and 60ft, 330, 1/8 and 1/4 were all slower. I'm going back to 3.27s

    What's the symptoms of a bad one does it make a grinding noise and wont drivr

    • @The1st60ft
      @The1st60ft  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine was just worn and slipping Clutches at the track on hard launches. It was quiet tho. I just saw footage of my launches and it was acting like slipping Clutch symptoms

    what clutch kit did you use and has it held up?

    • @The1st60ft
      @The1st60ft  ปีที่แล้ว

      Camaro Central Carbon Clutches. Still holding up great 👍

  • @BrieferBread66
    @BrieferBread66 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How much power are you making? Also how much power will it hold

    • @The1st60ft
      @The1st60ft  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not really about power but the torque hit that the Clutches can handle. It'll hold 450whp with the stock stall but it was slipping hard with 450whp with a big Converter multiplying torque

    • @BrieferBread66
      @BrieferBread66 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@The1st60ft sorry, i forget it’s torque is the rating of failure. I’m just curious cause I’m supercharging my Camaro and am looking into beefing up the axles and differential.
