    Hi Jeff. This is a great video. Renewal by Andersen consultants proliferate these myths more than anyone in my region. I sell the Marvin Infinity window in Tulsa, OK., and I constantly hear questions concerning these fallacious points from clients who confirm they hear it from RBA. My belief is that RBA trains their consultants to systematically spread these myths and say whatever is convenient to put down other companies and products. Thankfully, dishonesty is never a sustainable strategy. It's destroying their credibility and almost always works in my favor in a selling situation.
    I’ve watched most of your videos and always appreciate your objective approach. Your channel is the best educational tool that I am aware of for homeowners who are seeking quality information on windows and doors. I love sharing your videos with clients and find it complimentary to my sales approach, which largely consists of objectively educating consumers on what products/materials are available and commonly sold in our market, then giving my recommendations based on their particular set of needs, goals, and interests.
    From one window salesman to another, I truly appreciate you and thank you for all the great (and honest) content you produce.

    Hey Jeff, keep doing your wonderful analysis. My wife and I are from the Gulf coast and we are trying our best to get Marvin infinity. Unfortunately, some states cannot sell them. Hopefully that will change soon. Thank you for all your educational videos. You are the real deal.

    Hey Jeff, I thought of a possible topic I don't think you've covered that people might be interested in: Bay (or is it bow?) windows. You see a lot of them on homes built in the 70s in the Dallas area where I am.

    Hey Jeff, are the Infinity and essential lines of Marvin made the same or similar? In looking into it, Infinity is exclusively for replacement and not new construction.

    I’ve tried buying infinity by Marvin, impossible to buy for my contractor to install. They only way you can get these windows is if Marvin authorized dealers to install, they gave me a ridiculous estimate of $55,000 for 10 average size window and 1 bay-window. I called Marvin they told me I could by the essential by Marvin and that it’s the same, they also told me they renamed infinity to essential.

    We are building a new home in Monroe NC and would like to know what you would recommend for a high performance home? Trying to build a 1.5 ACH50 or tighter home. Was thinking of doing casement windows or either fixed where possible. Wanting to do black windows.

      Casement and fixed windows are going to be your best options. I'm not sure what materials you have available in your area. I am a big fan of fiberglass if it's built well.

      With 27 windows you could spend as little as $25k and as much as $100k. You need to do some comparison shopping.

    Is Infinity by Marvin suitable for new construction? I know you like Infinity better than Marvin's new construction fiberglass product. I understand that new construction windows have a nailing flange that goes on the outside before the house siding is installed, and replacement windows do not. But is worth dealing with that issue for new construction to get the Infinity advantage (and how would you best deal with that issue during installation).

    Hi Jeff. Thanks for your great videos. Is it more expensive to hire a company like yours, who carries all companies, brands, and styles, or to go directly with a certain brands; whoever they want to send out? I don’t want to deal with a sleazy salesman. They come to your house and never leave. I also fear filling out the questioner that every company’s website seems to have. Once I give them my name and address; it’ll never end. I’d love to have someone come out to take measurements, and then go to their store, and get quotes for various companies; Marvin, Anderson, Windsor, etc. I’d love your feedback. Please and thank you.

      Hey Drumboynoid. Not Jeff but I would say from my experience its best to use a company that has a lot of brand options. I tend to be able to give you the best price for each of those brands. And will be realistic for what's the best fit for you.
      Something else to note, excluding a very select few. Like Infinity, renewal by Anderson, and Pella most companies who"make their own window" don't. They partner with a company who makes the window for them. For example, champion and universal Windows direct and stanik are all owned by the same company and they all say they make their own window but they all use Polaris windows in Ohio.
      Long story short is to go with a company that maximize options, even if they are slightly more expensive. Expensive. It's a good sign that you are getting a better quality install with a better quality company

    • @Mark-rw3kw
      @Mark-rw3kw 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The cost of the window will depend on the quality of window chosen (brand and model), and the quality of the installation. Some companies hire contract labor to do the installation and use low quality products. Houston Window Experts seems to carry a wide range of products at various price levels, but they probably don't carry the really cheap and lower quality brands. They also don't use contract labor, as all installers are company employees (according to what Jeff said in a previous video).

      @@TheTame68 It's Andersen, not Anderson. I believe that is a Danish-Norwegian name.

      I would advise getting quotes from companies that sell multiple manufacturers. It's more likely you'll find a good deal that's suitable to your tastes and your home. But note that some companies that sell multiple brands may steer you to their private label brand, if they have one, unless you are just trying to buy a few windows to match your existing. You can work with a company that sells one window if you want, but you are more likely to need to haggle.
