I just got a 36 I'm hoping it's way tougher than the Oregon and Stihl lightweights. From the looks and feel I think it will be. It is a bit heavier than the others but we'll see how she goes!
I find the stihl lightweight bars very hard wearing as I have them from 20 up to 36. The cannon bars are a nice bar to but at the price I think I will stick with the stihl. Practically i suppose needing a replacement bar for tomorrow morning yes it can be done with a stihl or oregon bar but a cannon a definitive no most probably 2 to 3 months . Nice review and as usual informative and pleasant. 👍👍👍👍
Hi Fergus, yes the Stihl is a good bar but find the tips start to burr a little quicker than I would expect. On price the Cannon would be more but we'll see how it lasts. I decided to go for the Duralite going on my 41" Superbar that I've had for years and it's on it's original tip despite being abused in hardwoods on a 090. I was also impressed by how much stock Roland had in stock. You still working down there ?
@@outinthewood3578 we were working up until yesterday but it looks like we will have to pull the plug for a few weeks. Plenty to do at home splitting timber and servicing equipment and saws. How about yourself are the woods silent.
Just got a duralite this week. I have all the 28" light bars now. Stihl light- Oregon reduced weight- sugihara- tsumura- like all of them very much good and bad in all of the. Not a fan of the sugihara. Tsumura 92dl is nice cause you can run all 3 28" chains on one bar.
well dave, been some time... been busy making too many vidjeos lol... give an update on the cannon duralite, In the market for a 28 to go on my log truck saw... can't afford the stihl version as yet lol, and the Oregon stuff isn't worth the money
Anyone have any experience with the Sugihara or Tsumura light bars mind giving their opinion, i'm seriously considering getting one of these light bars as an 18" for my 462, i currently have the 20" ES light but find it an awkwards length for limbing. Are they worth the extra price over say a regular E Super bar or just a normal oregon versacut or stihl E bar?

Cannon bars were heavy but lasted a long time would like to try one of these someday
I'm looking forward to seeing how they last, it's to the "feel" same as the Tsu 28"

It's gonna last twice as long too. Nothin against the Japanese bars... but the cannon is a much better bar
