- A real flying boat! Watch it start up its Rotax engine, taxi in the sea and convert to a flying aircraft, as the pilot sets full power and pushes the bar against him, taking off from the blue sea of Limassol port, Cyprus. Enjoy some close and low flybys-low passes with the passenger waving and watch the ultralight convert to a boat again, as it comes in for a perfect landing, smoothly kissing the water!

@@greatflyer_aviation elevators would help too. I assume he has very little pitch of the vessel/aircraft so take off was challenging

Haha I saw one of these cruising Deerfield Beach, FL about 15 years ago. It was just cruising down the beach at about 100 feet of altitude. Glad I finally remembered to do this search, cause for the longest time I thought I went nuts. Lmao, what an amazing ultralight craft.

Idk about you but the unguarded propeller seems like a good way to loose a hand or arm if there is some turbulence or unpredicted movements maybe just a few guards idk ?
The amount of air resistance that would create would basically make this thing impossible to fly

saw these in nugwi zanzibar making some sort of documentary,this is interesting ideas mixing paragliding with boating and some wheels for dryland landing and takeoff,who is this bearded guy.,,, This idea is great for cheap mobility with this and a camp tent you can get to anywhere in the world.
If it malfunctions you can always jump 👍
Another good reason to get one
Something like this could revolutionize the daily transport of persons from small places to small places in areas all around the world. Ranging from the Amazon, to the Arctic.
As the boat belly could allow for the craft to be used like a sled on snow top as well, even without takeoff.
Unfortunately the FAA exists.

Yeah but those are usually way too heavy. Made out of heavy ass metals usually, at least all the ones I’ve been on in the everglades.

Speed through water is dictated by hull shape. Better hull shape for quicker take-offs

Amphibious means it also can go on land.... with wheels. Which this thing cannot do. lt is straight float. And under powered as well.

If it meets the qualifications for a part 103 ultralight vehicle, then they would not need any sort of licensing. If you look up paramotoring, that would be an example and they can reach up to 15k feet and still not need any licensing.

not really amphibious, it doesn't have wheels to roll up onto a boat ramp, but very cool, a flying lifeboat.
Beats floating around waiting, hoping for rescue, just fly to safety.
It is amphibious and it does have retractable wheels. Not the best idea to use them on a sandy beach though!
