    The funny thing is glock has more recalls then sig. it took glock over a 100 recalls to prefect the platform. Only reason you don’t hear about it is cause glock has been producing the same style of guns for years. The sig p320 and p365 is a newer platform so your gonna have a few things that need to be changed to have a consistent and reliable firearm.. I’m confident with my p365 and I believe sig has ironed out the issues with the earlier generation p365

      @@SabertoothDefenseSystems thanks! I like the Macro, but not enough to add it to my collection. That's why I did the Macro grip on my XL slide. I felt like the X and XL were basically the same gun with the same 12 round grip. Making my XL a Macro set them apart big time and honestly think the XL should've had this grip from the get go.

      @@SabertoothDefenseSystemsYes! You absolutely need to. They are legit. Only 1 less round than a G19, M&P Compact, CZP10C, etc., but a way more concealed package. No jams, no failures. Just for note, I bought all my magguts kits when I bought all my P365 variants, and changed the mag internals out before I fired the first round so that I could test accuracy, functionality, and reliability all at the same time. All have worked together flawlessly. Best CCW on the market, IMHO

    Perfect carry gun for me as I value conceal-ability, comfort, reliability and capacity. The reality is there are some compromises that must be made when you are prioritizing these weapon traits. This is the gun with the best combination IMO.

    I used to be on the small gun train and I still carry them sometimes depending on the occasion. But, over time I've found myself moving to slightly larger guns for some of the reasons you highlighted here and discovered that you can still comfortably conceal a larger frame than your typical p365 or similar firearm. I have 3 P365 variations and I have also found their finishes to be subpar.

    • @SabertoothDefenseSystems

      Makes total sense! Smallest guns definitely are easier to carry but shootability has a greater learning curve! And yeah it sucks that of all things the surface finish is one of the week points! Thanks for watching!

      @@SabertoothDefenseSystems I agree. I run this outside the waist in a leather forward cant holster. Pretty easy and fast, buy I really would love to upgrade to the Spectre Comp if it wasnt so much money. I cant hide a 17 round mag how I carry so the Macro isnt looking like an option either. I'm going to see if I can just wait and get a Macro style slide with the necessary grip module. I like the OG Sig trigger shoe a lot for how I shoot. Guys are really raving about how much better the compensators are to shoot on those new ones, but the closest range doesn't have an rentals yet. I cant rely on my buddies, because they're all looking to me when they're needing a recommendation, and most of them have yet to experience why spending a little more can be very valuable. This does not include the Spectre Comp though. For that money you could almost buy 3 of these. Even this one is too much for a lot of people.

    Thorough review, and excellent across the board shooting demo, appreciated 👍🏼
    Proving itself to be a very worthy EDC.
    I previously owned one when they first came out. I also initially found drawing under duress/training requires alot of practice.
    Additionally, the slide heats up fast at the range, of course that depends on your shooting practice.
    Can't lie, it's reliable, accurate and very concealable.
    One question, wear and tear?
    You mentioned rust and surface finish issues. Any mechanical issues?

    • @SabertoothDefenseSystems
      @SabertoothDefenseSystems  ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you liked the review! I’ve had no mechanical issues at all. No parts breaking or malfunctioning or anything like that! The only thing has been the front sight accumulating rust and a bit of surface rust on the mags. Some oil and a light rub with steel wool does the trick.

My buddy and I do a fair bit of night shooting so I actually do use the light. Plus this is also my backup gun as a Police Officer, and I carried it when I worked graveyard shift so having a light was critical. But yeah man to each their own! I'm sticking to the p365 because of the size. Sure, the XL, etc. might shoot a little better for some but the major factor for me is the easier to conceal factor. Otherwise, I'll take a glock 26/27 over the larger Sigs.

    I've owned my 4 years and love it still. I have smaller hands so it fits me perfectly although I don't run drills like you are.
    What are you using for oil and are you applying oil all over the gun and magazines? I've done a light coating over everything and it still looks new.

    • @SabertoothDefenseSystems
      @SabertoothDefenseSystems  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting! Tulammo in my experience is hit or miss with certain guns! I guess in your case it would still work as range ammo, and when I was on a really tight budget and could only shoot the low quality stuff that tended to malfunction a lot, I used it as a training opportunity to practice malfunction drills! Always a way to turn a negative into a positive! Thanks for watching!

    COPS USE THEM AS OFF-DUTY, AND BACKUP, SO 15 YARDS IS THE MAX,25 YARDS FOR YOUR DUTY GUN.25 IS STATE REQUIRED TO CARRY ON OR OFF DUTY, AND 15 FOR A GUN LIKE THE GLOCK 26 AND P365.

    • @SabertoothDefenseSystems
      @SabertoothDefenseSystems  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean yeah that’s the standard, but the standard is pretty low. I regularly practice at 50-75yds with both Duty gun and Backup gun. At my department, we’re allowed to do a full duty gun qualification with the backup gun, meaning shots out to 25yds. 15 yards is the standard, but that standard is low and we need to be regularly practicing at 25 and beyond with our secondary/backup.

    Im sorry man you might have covered this but did u have to replace the recoil spring at all? SIG says that u have to every 2,500 rounds

    • @SabertoothDefenseSystems
      @SabertoothDefenseSystems  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No I haven’t replaced that yet. Haven’t seen a need to. I understand why though, each gun (including other sig products and Glock products) have armorers manuals that show parts swap intervals so I’m sure that’s their interval for it just to ensure top function. So maybe I should change it per that interval, but I haven’t seen any malfunction or sluggish behavior as a result

      👍 I think I'm on my 6th p365 ? Nothing wrong with any of them, one had the front sight come off.
      I own hk, smith, cz, walther, glock, and others. None of the can do everything the 365 can. It's so light and concealable, yet you can pop a 17rd mag in it. Or buy the parts to make it an xmacro.. or swap out the grip frame for a metal one.
      It's accurate, reliable, has good sights. There is nothing on the market like it, it's the AR15 of ccw's

    never get a light that extends below the trigger guard. If you do, the holster will be made to fit the light, not the pistol and it will wobble, have no retention, and you will eventually buy another light thus wasting your $.

    HIT YOUR TARGET, YOU WON'T NEED TO RELOAD. MOST SHOTS WILL BE AT 5=7 FEET. I learned in the police academy, COVER OR CONCEALMENT especially when reloading.

  • @rbm6184
    @rbm6184 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I will stick with my original P365. Not any harder to draw for me than a sub compact. You have to break grip to reload on lots of sub compacts also. My hands are medium and never had a slide catch problem. I don't shoot thumbs forward is why. I shoot thumb over thumb. The trigger is smooth and fine for me with a decent break but still sloppy like all striker pistols. Its also a close range pistol so it doesn't need a match grade trigger. If I need to take longer shots then I would carry a bigger pistol with a better trigger and longer sight radius but that would defeat the concealable purpose and close range purpose of the P365. Really not enough justification in the cons to "upgrade" for me.

    • @SabertoothDefenseSystems
      @SabertoothDefenseSystems  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for commenting! I like my standard P365 as well. Fair point about taking longer shots, although it’s still good to train longer distance shooting with a subcompact. Never know how far your engagement is gonna be. A Costco for example from one end to another could easily be a 75+ yd shot if somebody starts cracking rounds off at others. But absolutely, the full size gun would be much better suited for it.

    • @rbm6184
      @rbm6184 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SabertoothDefenseSystems True its always good to practice and prepare for the worst if you have the means. Most folks might not have access to 100 yard ranges. More like 25 yard indoor ranges. Chances are very high that there will be bystanders in the way and such a shot would not be possible given the consequences of collateral damage. It makes more sense to find concealment and cover and close the distance to the target threat outflanking the target if possible.
