    Awesome 😍.
    You don’t need to go to local gym.

    Some questions:
    - since you have hack and dumbbell, do you think you need the rack ?
    - what machines would you like to buy ?
    - what machines would you throw and you think it’s not necessary?

    Love the nuance and curation of your collection! I have the same mentality with each of my gym pieces. Good tip on the prime functional trainer with the arm lengths. I have a freemotion in my home gym and was considering changing to the prime one but I don’t have enough room with the length of those prime arms for a bench for chest support rows etc. 13x18 garage I’m working with for me. Super inspired to keep upgrading each piece to the perfect ones in my space!

    Sweet gym man, wish I had that much space. Any thoughts on adding a dedicated pullover machine. That’s the one big machine I have in my home gym besides a power rack, and a lathe pull down low row. Just so hard to do real solid lat workouts without one.

  • @Danishcreed
    @Danishcreed ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Really cool 😊 but, I might just be an idiot but apart from being easier to fit into a gym with low ceilings, I've never been able to see what the arms add to the prime functional trainer? You could still do 99,9% of the same movements on a traditional functional trainer. Hence, I feel like the prime just ends up taking up too much space. Although it is beautiful!

    • @sharktankmedia
      @sharktankmedia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The arms really allow for alignment of the cables for various movements. A good example is a chest press or shoulder press. Imagine performing one of these movements on a "traditional" functional trainer. Where are the cables in that situation? The answer is that the cables are more than likely at angle on either side (and not stacked underneath of your joints). The benefit of a functional trainer with arms like this one is that you can adjust the arms to align the cables to be right underneath of your joints. This will aid in more comfort, and optimal loading, while performing the movement. If you are trying to shoulder press for example, having the cable system pulling your arms to the sides (rather than straight down) will likely skew the resistance profile, and potentially make the movement less effective. Not a deal breaker for many people, but this is a major benefit of the moveable arms. You can adjust them to be anywhere that you need them to be to create a more effective resistance profile for a movement.

    Hi Ruffhouse Media: My favorite is also the 90's generation of bodybuilding with Flex Wheeler, Shawn Ray, Dorian Yates, Chris Cormier, Marcus Ruhl, Lee Priest, Paul Dillet, Kevin Levrone, and others.
    I especially like your Ivanko RM Hammertone Dumbbells with the Chrome End Plates. I have the Ivanko RM Hammertone Dumbbells with the Black Steel End Plates for over thirty years, and have never had any issues/problems. The dumbbells are a pain to torque each bolt to 140 pounds. That is 80 bolts to torque. I have been to a lot of commercial gyms, where the heavy one-piece dumbbell/dumbbells handles are bent, from members dropping the dumbbells, and the dumbbells flipping over on the floor. With the Ivankos, you can always break apart the dumbbells, and buy a new sdh (single dumbbell handle).
    If you have a friend, or family member who is into carpentry, that person can make you new wider arm pads, for your Flex Hamflexor. With the new wider wood backing, you can bring the pads to a car interior/furniture reupholster for a new wider padding/naugahyde cover.
    I have Excalibur 304 stainless steel fitness equipment. The owner of Excalibur Fitness Equipment is Larry Sullivan. He was the foreman of Icarian, during the early to late 80's. First generation Icarian, Flex, BodyMasters, and Cybex were in all of the Gold's, World's, and Powerhouse Gyms. All those first-generation equipment were over built, and took decades of abuse.
    Since, you are gym owner, have you ever heard of Excalibur Fitness Equipment. High Polish 304 stainless steel does not peel, chip, or rust. The stainless steel does scratch, but you can re-polish the stainless steel to a mirror finish with a rouge/polishing compound. Larry Sullivan also makes stainless steel gates, and balconies, which highlights his artistic side. There are not many fitness equipment manufacturers, that makes custom made exercise equipment, to a customer's specifications. Larry Sullivan custom made me 2-two tier 3/8 inch stainless steel, double saddles dumbbell racks with a separate top/bottom base. My friends, and I paid $6700.00 in 2005. Larry Sullivan dropped off more stainless steel equipment in 2011. He repolished the dumbbell racks to a mirror finish. He replied, if he had to make the same dumbbell racks, it would cost over $10,000.00. It is now 2023, and I can imagine what the price would be. I would guess, probably over $13,000.00 not including shipping, and crating. The entire dumbbell rack is welded together, and not bolted on, which is expensive to ship.
    I noticed, your room with the leg press does not have a plate tree, or rubber flooring. I did see some plates on the Flex Plate Loaded Leg Press. You have to be careful, not to drop any plates on the hardwood flooring.
    You have a Super Nice Home/Basement/Garage Gym. Thanks for the tour, and insight on the fitness equipment.
