@Ben Kenobi with a lot of people living off of an inflated unemployment pay, and any fitness gear and weights are skyrocketed in value, it's nearly impossible to just buy your way to a home gym that's worth anything right now. The freaking plates can be hundreds for just a basic set, forget the equipment that the weights can be used for.
@Ben Kenobieven 500 bucks right now is not a lot for equipment lmao. I know a $500,000 professional level gym is not something we should strive for or even care for, but to say any moderate amount of money is viable right now without a stable good-paying job is disingenuous. You might be able to find deals and make small incremental progress, but a "basic" set of equipment (ie, barbell, 2 45's, 2 25's, 2 15's, and 2 5's) isn't cheap anymore. A cheap bar is at least $150, and it's like freaking $2 a lb for the cheapest iron weights, so at least $360 for just the lightest set of weights, which is easily over $500 for basically nothing. I have stones, cinder blocks, car tires, and a mishmash of random non-weightlifting bars that have more worth than that right now. Also, I have $0 to spend on equipment, and if I'm gonna buy a setup, I'm gonna do it right, which obviously isn't viable right now. Like I said, any home gym setup that is even worth the money isn't happening for a lot of people right now. You do know there is a governmentally induced economic collapse and unemployment rates, right? Finally, not everybody wants to spend their rainy day funds and extra cash on things like weights and equipment. That isn't a big priority. Ultimately, you could just do bodyweight stuff and call it free. If I had a few hundred or thousands stuck back in these times, I would not even consider buying overpriced weights right now. Get it free or don't get it at all. Weightlifting is not my life's goal, but if I could easily financially afford a home gym setup, I would set it up.
@Ben Kenobi I don't think this is a perfect comparison, cause even if you wanna go te cheapest way possible for recording music, you'll need at least a computer, a sound card, a microphone and speakers or headphones, at least 1000-2000$. But like others said, it's totally possible to use DIY weights that cost almost 0$ that will do almost exactly the same as expensive weights and machines. But I understand if you're a pro bodybuilder, that's another story, you probably enjoy buying expensive machines even if you know it's not necessary.
@@Hide_and_Tweak I've spent about $2,000 on my home gym. It's pretty bare bones but it's all you need - a power rack with a pull up bar, a bench, a weight lifting belt, a weighted plate belt, 2 barbells, 500lbs of weight, deadlift platform I built myself, and a dip station. Going to get a set of gymnastic rings here soon. Anyone and everyone can make good gains in a modest home gym, Obviously Juji's gym is extremely excessive - cool but excessive.
no words to express how amazing this gym is, like honestly. This is the culmination of years and years of hard work, good fucking shit juji. Now, how much rent will you charge me to live in the gym?
Very happy for the Jujimufu crew on this. I know this was a HUGE milestone both personally and professionally for you, and I'm so happy you were able to get the whole vision to come together. Cheers to the start and continuation of something great!
I've slowly come to realise why I like your videos so much. You're an amazing story teller and you have fantastic stories that I look forward to hearing all the time. The story of your life, how you built your gym, etc. Keep up the amazing work Juji, I look forward to hearing more of your stories for a long time to come.
Just getting back into working out and I'm so glad I found you and your brother. You guys are chill, funny, and I've learned a ton. Honestly getting into fitness as an adult is very intimidating; there's a lot to learn and the culture can be kinda harsh. Thanks for being a teacher and helping us noobs out. You're much appreciated.
Same here. I thought a had a fairly decent understanding about gym equipment and working out but after listening to him I realize I still have a lot to learn haha.
Watching this video made me feel like I've watched my older brother making a gym and now it's finally finished. The smile on Juji's face while presenting was so good to watch. Cheers brother and wish you luck on your future endeavors
I loved what Sam said, "This gym is a reflection of you" it is. You deserve this so much. It feels like you achieved everything you wanted in life and now you can just chill, invite friends over and have fun. I wish some day I could be at your spot.
Crazy that I've been watching Juji for 5 years and just how far he's come in that time. Amazing stuff and super inspirational, seeing this gym finally come together is jaw dropping.
Congratulations son, Sam and you so much deserve this awesome gym, so many years, so many great memories. It’s been a long journey and you both have earned this gym. Sam’s mom was truly invaluable to this project. I like the name “GymHome” as well. Can’t wait to see it. I want to enjoy a nice cup of coffee with you sitting around that fire pit 👍 I want to try out that vertical leg press machine…your gym is like the “Baskin-Robbins” of home gyms, so many “flavors” of machines to try out !!! Wow !!! BTW, your journey is far from being over.
Only standard iron lb plates have gone up. Ironically, calibrated steel kg plates have gone down in price because of gyms closing and everyone wanting just any old plates they can find. And don't expect prices to go down any time soon with more people investing in home gyms and the iron shortage. Ironically I have been finding even Eleiko kg competition plates for cheaper/lb than regular ass standard barbell plates.
As someone who works out at planet fitness, this totally makes me want to switch gyms. The gym you built is awesome as hell , keep up the insane work you do man
It was very classy to start off the video by explaining your background, everyone starts somewhere and your story is one of progression from the ground up.
Juji, just some feedback about this video -- it was SUPER ENGAGING. Thanks for talking to us constantly in the video. Great introduction and catchup for those who might not follow you a lot (or who didn't follow you in the beginning). Understanding the *WHY* behind a lot of your choices is also super helpful.
I like how he just brushes over the fact that he was a biotech manager. That sounds like an amazing job and something that isn't necessarily delved into on here. I wish I knew more
If you go back in his videos, around the point of him moving out of his apartment into his first rental home, he goes more in depth about what he did. I feel like it’s called “I quit my job!!” Or something.
best video I've seen all year so far.. I had a business which I turned an old doctors office into a small restaurant. Seeing results and the final product after all the hoop jumping with permits etc - amazing feeling. congratulations on everything you have achieved and blessing to more to come.
The fact that the entire facility was "only" half a mil is mind boggling. You could rent a studio and buy a single squat rack and leg press for that kinda money where I'm at
I appreciate you including a little bit about your background. As a new viewer, I wish more creators would do that for more of their videos. definitely made me appreciate the content more knowing a little more about who you are.
Nothing like the feeling of seeing someone you admire so much achieve something as great as this that brings them happiness and fulfillment. Cheers mate.
I remember when I first started watching you, you still had your apartment gym and that gave me motivation to start training in my child room (was 13 at the time) with just a pair of dumbells and a rubber band. It has been amazing to watch your journey and all I can say is congrats and thank you for being such an inspiration to just do what you love!
Nothing more energising and engaging than people who are genuinely grateful for their achievements and work. Although it takes individuals to achieve their personal goals. Those goals are more often than not shared by those around them. It is the gratitude that that individual displays towards those that helped them along the way that demonstrates the depth of character the individual possess. Well done Juji and Sam and the whole team.
I am so proud of you juji. I have watched your content since you were in the dining room gym and to see how you have accomplished your goals and dreamed big and visualized it... gives me hope for myself and others. You are a great inspiration. Thank you.

Feel that...
Ive slept in that gym. It was fabulous and beautiful!!!
The contrast between calm, collected and professional juji and HYPE Juji is awesome.
As a Vanderbilt Alumnus, this black and gold theme is outstanding. Love it!
"They say money can't buy happiness; I call bullshit on that one. You ever see a guy try to frown on a jetski?" - Daniel Tosh.
@@barongerhardt this sounds so sad
@@TomasJansen05 It is sad. Most people I know that bought a new one regret it.
Boiler Room had the best line on this.
"Money can't buy happiness? Look at the smile on my fucking face mother fucker. Ear to fucking ear."
It’s like he prepared his whole life for this moment… this guy is awesome!
no words to express how amazing this gym is, like honestly. This is the culmination of years and years of hard work, good fucking shit juji. Now, how much rent will you charge me to live in the gym?
PANATTA is the VERY best in muscles gym equipment. WELL done !!
Very happy for the Jujimufu crew on this. I know this was a HUGE milestone both personally and professionally for you, and I'm so happy you were able to get the whole vision to come together. Cheers to the start and continuation of something great!
Didn't know you sold pants, copping a pair now man best of luck to you!
I've slowly come to realise why I like your videos so much. You're an amazing story teller and you have fantastic stories that I look forward to hearing all the time. The story of your life, how you built your gym, etc. Keep up the amazing work Juji, I look forward to hearing more of your stories for a long time to come.
You are an absolute breath of fresh air in the industry. Love your being and your content.
Love Jujimufu's energy, breaks the stereotype of juicers rage. Always love the good vibes from this beast of a human
I don't really know how you could substantially improve this gym. It is god-tier.
Congrats Juji, Sam, etc. This puts a huge smile on my face.
Invite the Dutch Giant. He needs giant machines, being 7'2".
Hell yeah i 2nd this
Great idea!
Congrats man! Love your channel. It’s a gym you definitely deserve!
ill admit it. this is a bit nicer than my half rack setup
Just a bit lol
It MIGHT be nicer than my setup which consists of ... just resistance bands and a workout mat
I got a half filled bottle of water somewhere.
I really appreciate how you knew all the technical aspects of the building
I loved what Sam said, "This gym is a reflection of you" it is. You deserve this so much. It feels like you achieved everything you wanted in life and now you can just chill, invite friends over and have fun. I wish some day I could be at your spot.
Well put!
So many bars I haven't even seen in the ninja gyms!🤘😅🔥🔥🔥
The Ronnie Coleman TV really brings the whole place together.
I think Jay Cutler's "Ripped to shreds" would suit Juji down to the ground.
Such a positive guy
Yeap! Juji is the real deal!! 💪😁👌
❤❤❤
Jujimufu: I have a home gym better than most commercial gyms
Me: I found a guy to sell me my first pair of 45lbs plates at an affordable price
I’ll buy your 45lb plates for more than you got them please
Do they cost that much? I've never even thought about it.
@@adamcarlton9897 the pandemic has made people price gouge the living hell out of gym equipment.
That's where he started!
As someone who works out at planet fitness, this totally makes me want to switch gyms. The gym you built is awesome as hell , keep up the insane work you do man
It was very classy to start off the video by explaining your background, everyone starts somewhere and your story is one of progression from the ground up.
Good eye.
Im happy he was able to quit to pursue his real dreams
No, not necessarily.
@@larjkok1184 its cool to me. Im kinda into biotech
best video I've seen all year so far..
You could rent a studio and buy a single squat rack and leg press for that kinda money where I'm at
He obviously got a price cut for all the advertising he will do on those machines. Panatta equipment + shipping we're around 5 k for a single piece
Lol
I know the feel, that'd run a couple mil where I'm from (Hawaii). Let me guess you from Hawaii, Cali, or New York?
I appreciate you including a little bit about your background. As a new viewer, I wish more creators would do that for more of their videos. definitely made me appreciate the content more knowing a little more about who you are.
Nothing like the feeling of seeing someone you admire so much achieve something as great as this that brings them happiness and fulfillment. Cheers mate.
Yeah Buddy, that TV aint nothin but a peanut!!
When are you gonna visit??
Yeah buddy, you are really commenting everywhere WoW
I am so stoked that our boy has done well enough for himself to build his half-million dollar dream gym. Get some!
The fact that you did an iron cross at one point in your life is literally insane. Way to go!
This is the best home gym I have ever seen, I would give anything to have half that size. Equipment is absolutely amazing. Its something to behold.
Thank you.
I’ve never liked youtubers humblebragging, showing off, or bragging.
But this for you? You definitely deserve it. It feels good seeing good people do well and gives me hope I can succeed for myself in the things I strive for. Can’t wait to see more from you man
Home Gym? damn, this Gym has the most innovative equipment, well planned amazing to work out in that gym. Just found this channel, outstanding equipment.
Sam’s voiceover and interactions are perfect 👍🏻. They subtly make segues, and add detail, sometimes repetition. The timing is so good; it’s like telepathy. Also, she has a very pleasant voice, and at the right volume. § I hadn’t tuned in for several months, so she is a great surprise.
This is the most aesthetically pleasing gym I've ever seen. You did an absolute perfect job on nailing the colours. Gold and black inside a large white room, so nice man. Such a good looking gym. If heaven had a gym, it would look like that.
I feel an All Stars: Legends of Body Building coming along. Terrific job man, honestly and truly. This gym trumps anything I've ever seen.
It's got no atmosphere.
The best character in the jujimufi cinematic universe is gym cat.
the traitor best friend arc was was an insane twist at the end of season 2, cant wait to see what happens this season
Really impressive gym! I love the attention to detail and the tought that went into it. I usually don't do any machine exercises, but a lot of your machines are really convenient and fit into a power based workout. Enjoy it man, you deserve it!
This gym is almost as gorgeous as Juji.
Juji is a humble guy but damn he knows a lot about his industry
Never thought I'd get sentimental about another person's home gym before... Loved seeing this coming together!
The gold and black pick….was well, GOLD!!!
I didn't see the Dave Tate style rocking chair in the thumbnail. Make sure to get the bowl of Werthers Originals to pass out. Also thanks for recapping all your athletic pursuits as I was genuinely curious.
SICKEST. GYM. EVER!
Let's go jujiiiiiii 🤙
Literally no one deserves something like this, like Juji does. He's an incredible person who just wants everyone around him to succeed.
Anyone who can afford it that didnt get their money from being a hedgfund or being evil deserves it. But youre right, Juji is amazing.
I came here after I saw Brian shaw's home gym, no offense to him but this blows his out of the water. This is the greatest gym ever created. The machines.... they are the best machines I've ever seen on the planet. You really made this gym absolute perfection. I'm surprised it only cost $500,000 haha you should call this gym pump mecca or something it has the greatest hypertrophy setup on the planet.
