If you are a regular user of prime lenses on actual cameras you get really used to that and you understand the advantages. I really recommend it even on a smartphone which has 10x optical zoom. If you can get closer and take the shot with the main camera it will be better
Pro Bro Wrong. Very wrong. 108mp is the main wide camera. 12mp is the ultrawide 48mp is the 10x optical zoom camera. You obviously would not be able to record 8K video with a 12mp camera.

yeah noone even mentions the quality of the signal, wi-fi, speaker sound, voice quality etc. I had major disapointments with One Plus 3 but you don't see a reviewer mention the poor quality of the speaker. @@rollingrocky3608 the 24 actually came from film; of course technology evolved quickly and now movies only use 24 fps because the viewers like that. Yes, the reason why studios still use lower fps is because people are trained to percieve that lower frame rate as "more cinematic".

And a trained eye can definitely catch the frame transition at 24 fps. 60-70 is a more "correct" framerate to fool human brain, the higher the smoother it feels. For framerates at 30 and below, it should be a very stable framerate (same exact time for each frame on screen) to feel decent, and you can see yourself at the cinema, even with state of the art equipment it sucks bad for action scenes at 24 fps. For a phone, 4k 60 should be the goal. 8k is just useless numbers, moreso if its shooting that bad at that framerate. you can barely see 4k res on a 60" display. 8k is simply overkill untill we all have 85"tvs in our homes (and even at that point you arent expected to shoot hollywood grade videos with your smartphone )
I've never seen Marques embody Linus so profusely with the emphatic spec rambling then I've seen here. Pretty amazing, considering they're both almost identical height.

Cheers for a true and honest review. I am an avid photographer (Nikon D610, but sometimes, walking my dog, I want to take a pic of flowers, landscapes. So absolute still photos, at 108MP suits me. Yeah, 8k is fun, but until they can ramp it to at least 30fps, it isn’t going to cut it. But I have ordered one, so I will get to see for myself 🙃

It's just that the F-number is based on the focal length so a lens with same F-number for a bigger sensor means the apeture on that lens is larger, and thus gives you a thinner DoF, not the actual sensor. It's a minor detail but so many people confuse this (I almost made expensive purchasing decisions based on that misunderstanding).
Personally I like the rounded display with the squared corners. It was unique and a delight to look at. Not sure why the aversion to the rounded glass.

yeah noone even mentions the quality of the signal, wi-fi, speaker sound, voice quality etc. I had major disapointments with One Plus 3 but you don't see a reviewer mention the poor quality of the speaker. It's like they don't even care if you use it like a phone, that is why I am even buy it from the first place!!!

@@rollingrocky3608 the 24 actually came from film; of course technology evolved quickly and now movies only use 24 fps because the viewers like that. Yes, the reason why studios still use lower fps is because people are trained to percieve that lower frame rate as "more cinematic".
@@rollingrocky3608 Human eyes (and brain) can easily feel and detect the difference between framerates. And a trained eye can definitely catch the frame transition at 24 fps.
60-70 is a more "correct" framerate to fool human brain, the higher the smoother it feels. For framerates at 30 and below, it should be a very stable framerate (same exact time for each frame on screen) to feel decent, and you can see yourself at the cinema, even with state of the art equipment it sucks bad for action scenes at 24 fps.
For a phone, 4k 60 should be the goal. 8k is just useless numbers, moreso if its shooting that bad at that framerate. you can barely see 4k res on a 60" display. 8k is simply overkill untill we all have 85"tvs in our homes (and even at that point you arent expected to shoot hollywood grade videos with your smartphone )

A speaker topping out at 50dB would be interesting to say the least considering that's almost silent.
Clearly he doesn't understand the db scale (its exponential) but the point was still sorta valid. Never seen a speaker advertised by db though...

Cheers for a true and honest review. I am an avid photographer (Nikon D610, but sometimes, walking my dog, I want to take a pic of flowers, landscapes. So absolute still photos, at 108MP suits me. Yeah, 8k is fun, but until they can ramp it to at least 30fps, it isn’t going to cut it. But I have ordered one, so I will get to see for myself 🙃

8:45 To be a little more specific for whoever is interested: Sensor size has no effect on the DoF. It's just that the F-number is based on the focal length so a lens with same F-number for a bigger sensor means the apeture on that lens is larger, and thus gives you a thinner DoF, not the actual sensor. It's a minor detail but so many people confuse this (I almost made expensive purchasing decisions based on that misunderstanding).
