Hello, I guess, all in all incl. porting the heads, measuring the piston rings, bearings, etc. it takes 40 - 60 hours of work. It´s up to that kind of engine, which you want to build (race engine, hot street engine, or standard rebuilt engine) Thanks for interest!!!
The "PERFORMER 390" is a low performance intake best used in slow heavy vehicles. You want a Performer RPM intake for high performance use. If the heads have 14 bolt holes they are late model low performance heads. What's the number between the 2 centre spark plugs. Bet ya it starts with C7 or C8. It will make even more power if you build it as a HIGH PERFORMANCE engine.
