If you're interested in how much power this engine made, check out this video: th-cam.com/video/5HggzAgdNto/w-d-xo.html Some of you may have noticed that the engine changed a tiny bit from when we were done in the shop to when we were on the track. Well, we made some upgrades and gained some horsepower and torque. Check out the video!
I also love Uncle Davin works on EVERYTHING and isn't a brand snob. If It's mechanical. I like it. All brands have made both great and shitty engines/cars.
I did not hear that Snowball had passed. So sorry for your loss and for your family. I remember watching the episode where Davin collected this old racecar from your grandfather. He seemed an interesting and fascinating man.
You guys make some of the very best car/engine/time-lapse videos on TH-cam hands down. The wait was worth it for this one. Thanks and keep them coming!
Hope you're paying Davin big bucks because to my mind, he IS Hagerty. Kudos to the camera people too as that has to be one of the best choreographed engine assembly videos I've ever seen.
I watch quite a few engine restoration videos, and I love that Hagerty is unique in rebuilding the heads versus just replacing them. So interesting to watch.
Alright, been waiting for the end result of this one! Knock out job as always you guys. That thing is a beast! Great time lapse. RIP "Snowball". Wish he could've seen the end result of that dirt track racer.
I thought the Snow ball race car was shelved permanently. I am glad to see it done. Sad to hear of the passing of Snow ball, really would have liked to see the joy, of his reaction to something that meant alot to him. I think the audience would agree. Well done Davin.... congrats on your successful completion. The time lapse videos are amazing love them. The creator of the time lapse videos should get real substantial pay increase.
Forget "cameraman". Whoever is pouring their _soul_ into the camera work in these videos deserves the title of Cinematographer. And that's not an attempt to discount the rest of the work in this video either. Everything about this is impressive. You all got a real good thing going here.
I have waited so long see this car finished. It came out amazing. The work you do is nothing short of incredible. Thank you taking us along for the journey.
I love the idea that the age of an engine is only superficial. Under every old engine is a brand new engine, waiting to be revealed. And shred tires :)
Davin, I enjoy watching the work you do and I've taken inspiration to stay on my current project. And Ben, the camera work you do is outstanding to say the least. I love the attention to detail in the "self moving" parts segments, like the streak of assembly lube the lifters leave on the valley walls as they slide down into the bores. Brilliant. I do have to say I miss the format where the two of you sit down and go over the builds while you watch it on screen. Keep up the great work!
huge hat tip to your photography director for the stop-action work, simply amazing! (my daughter is an animator, I have a whole new appreciating for what it takes to do this at this level.) Bravo!! The 440 ain't too shabby either.
As always, high quality video with the time lapse artistry the team makes. Makes the parts and the vehicle look alive. Felt sad seeing the in memoriam for Snowball. He would surely have loved to see his race car running as it did in his glory days.
Excellent work that is amazing in its detail and professionalism. Thank you very much for your work. And the way it was filmed deserves special attention. It is very cool! Well done.
I'm probably the only one here that misses the old redline rebuild episodes that were over an hour long. Got to listen to Davin drop all kinds of knowledge and watch every step of the way.
I think the main reason why I like these videos so much is that you aren't getting the usual shtick you would normally get with other shows. Like being shown a "budget" build engine with the dirt cheap limit of $30k of brand new parts and such. Here, it's just "Here is this engine, watch it go from silent to screaming in a few minutes" Minimal commentary, excellent editing, and awesome results
Video was so damn good to watch it hurt my eyes!! with how good the production quality is on these time-lapse videos.. would make any mechanic or car enthusiast giddy! 👌🏾🙌🏾
Never Stop Making The Time Lapse!😂 The quality and patience all of you put into these is superlative and amazing. They're quite mesmerizing. Kudos to you all! And Davin got to bag-drive it! All is well and good in car world...✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
Doesn't matter how many of these you do, they never get old so thank you once again. I was betting in the timing being 180⁰ out but not this time! Yay!
I just bought a 283. Im 30, grew up absolutely in love with cars and working on them. Never rebuilt one before tho. I’m anxious to get started and it’s going to be a twin turbo set up.
I’ve been waiting so long for this project to be finally done. I remember watching the very first episode of it when Tom found it in Barn Find series (am I right?). I never thought it would end up as such a cool car. Well done guys! 👏👏👏
I had completely forgotten about this race car and boom it’s done fantastic The time lapse you guys do is amazing I love watching a guy at the top of his game practice his skills and Davin is definitely that dude 👍👍🇦🇺
Sos un MAESTRO!!!Hermano!!! Me encantó!!! Al igual cuando arreglaste en motor de La camioneta Chevrolet 3100!!! Motor 235!!!yo tenía una Apache con ese motor y son indestructibles!!!salu2 desde Mendoza Argentina!!!👍☺
you guys' best stop motion yet...and it was nice to see the paper peel again. wish I could go after the 54 Ford wagon that popped up around here. though it'd be a bargain, but they want 8K for a body shell and a busted 289...you guys might wanna slip up here and snatch her up before she disappears into some PA shredder.
I just discovered this channel and I really enjoy watching these amazing videos… what a great life and a great business you’ve created…. This car is absolutely badass…. Well done on the build..!! I’m jealous….
The amount of work that went into this video is astonishing, im sure there was a whole team working on this project but still! Holy smokes! Beautiful build fellas 🤘🏻
I was wondering about old snowball, is he going to run a few laps? Then I looked at my screen and saw the memorial, All I can say now, pedal to the metal, keep grinding the gears, and keep the snowball rolling.
If you're interested in how much power this engine made, check out this video: th-cam.com/video/5HggzAgdNto/w-d-xo.html

Cam specs? Compression ratio?
That Timelapse was INCREDIBLE! Hagerty is literally the best car channel.
Davin is like that cool uncle you never had that is a complete motorhead spending his time half in the shop and half in the racetrack
As an Crazy Uncle, I approve this message.
I also love Uncle Davin works on EVERYTHING and isn't a brand snob. If It's mechanical. I like it. All brands have made both great and shitty engines/cars.
The end result is a huge grin and dirt flying!! One of the best builds ever.
I swear, these time lapse builds are works of art! I love these so much!
That time lapse must have been a crazy amount of filming and editing work, but soooo worth it!
Thanks for all your work on this Davin! My grandpa is snowball and would have been so happy to see this done. This is badass!
I did not hear that Snowball had passed. So sorry for your loss and for your family. I remember watching the episode where Davin collected this old racecar from your grandfather. He seemed an interesting and fascinating man.
@@mindeloman thank you, he was interesting and it was always a joy to hear his stories
You guys got this Time-lapse thing on lockdown. What a fun looking car, too.
Would have been nice if Snowball could have seen the car finished. You did him proud, Davin!!
You guys make some of the very best car/engine/time-lapse videos on TH-cam hands down. The wait was worth it for this one. Thanks and keep them coming!
Another sweet rebuild
FINALLY ! Been waiting a long time to see the race car finished . Looks good and sounds awesome
Thanks for sticking with us! Glad you enjoyed!
When it comes to time lapsed engine rebuilds, nobody does it better than Hagerty. Visually very exciting with super cool, gritty guitar music.
Alright, been waiting for the end result of this one! Knock out job as always you guys. That thing is a beast! Great time lapse.
RIP "Snowball". Wish he could've seen the end result of that dirt track racer.

Awesome build, love the stop motion animation shots!
😎
@@Hagerty amazing job 👏
Im from 🇦🇪 i have old engine for land rover defender 109 serial3 4 cylinder
Can you build new? I will send it if ok
These time lapses give me 90% of the rebuilding enjoyment with 0% of the headache in doing it myself.
I love you guys work on EVERYTHING. No brand snobbery here. No car/truck/bike snobbery here. That's true hot-rodder stuff.
Love the redline rebuild episodes, please never stop doing these!
I cannot describe how much I love this style of engine teardown & rebuild plus editing. Soo appealing and mesmerizing. Thank you!
I can not imagine the time and effort you put to film and editing this video. thank you so much for sharing this piece of art with us.
I have waited so long see this car finished. It came out amazing. The work you do is nothing short of incredible. Thank you taking us along for the journey.
The undisputed masters of time lapse, strike again! I have no idea what form of sorcery you use to produce these videos, but I approve. 😎🏁
I love the idea that the age of an engine is only superficial.
Under every old engine is a brand new engine, waiting to be revealed.
And shred tires :)
Best videography and timelapse editing in the business. Period.
It lives!!! Gratz on getting her back to form and function. It was fun seeing it running on the dirt.
The production quality is insurmountable. Thank you for putting this out for free.

I'm always amazed at how much Davin knows in rebuilding ANYTHING you set in front of him😮
When y'all stenciled his name on it
I was all smiles man
Well done to all involved
Thanks for draggin' us along
Awesome to see you on the track with it. Awesome to see the time lapse of the build as well. Great job!
What a UNIT!!!! Thanks for the vid, great job!
So awesome that you guys finished this car! Very very cool!!
The editing is 👌🏻👌🏻
One of the best thus far, love it. And your camera guy and his editing perfection, simply no words. Great video.
Been waiting for another Redline Rebuild time-lapse video and it's well worth the wait, hands down!
I miss the old RLRB format. Thanks for the reminder.
NEW REDLINE EPISODE!!!!
Nice job Davin, Ben, Jon, Jordan and crew. That was a fun one.
This incredible montage was at least 4 times the work than just doing to engine work. Wow! So nicely done.
I've loved every build to date. That said, this build has been by far the best one yet.
Editor is definitely paid like an athlete.
Hats off to the editor & cameraman. This is the best time lapse I’ve seen. 🎉
Awesome dirt track racer. That 440 is a beast
So glad the rebuilds are backs!!!
The best TH-cam time lapse.
Unbeatable!!
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. What an amazing editing and shooting job!! You had me at big block Chrysler and with a Thermoquad OMG.
It's always a pleasure to see you working on a engine like this😊
This is a masterpiece. What a beutiful job. Thanks for sharing!
Old big block mopars are one of the best engines ever made

Сколько не смотрю ваш канал, всегда убеждаюсь в том что вы профессор по двигателям, спасибо вам за то , смотреть всегда очень интересно и приятно
Video was so damn good to watch it hurt my eyes!! with how good the production quality is on these time-lapse videos.. would make any mechanic or car enthusiast giddy! 👌🏾🙌🏾
Just mind blowing time lapse. Never seen better. Very entertaining. Thanks
Nice! Nothing like dirt track cars, needed a splash of water on the track so you could “mud it in”. Good job!
Wow! What an awesome car! That is one healthy sounding 440 Magnum!
What a piece of history, an time lapses is just stunning workmanship, kudos too the Hagerty team..nothing but top notch ,,tks
Never Stop Making The Time Lapse!😂 The quality and patience all of you put into these is superlative and amazing. They're quite mesmerizing. Kudos to you all! And Davin got to bag-drive it! All is well and good in car world...✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦

The most epic, awesome, time-lapse I've ever watched!
I need this in my daily life!
Awesome to see you drive the car on the track!
mr bishop would be smilling in heaven seeing this.

One of the best rebuild videos I have ever seen👍👍👍
That is one sweet sounding 440! I’m a Ford guy, but sweet is sweet, no matter who built it, nice job Davin! Can’t wait for your next one!
I just bought a 283. Im 30, grew up absolutely in love with cars and working on them. Never rebuilt one before tho. I’m anxious to get started and it’s going to be a twin turbo set up.

This is THE best engine building video I've seen.
Ya, this build was pretty epic. Great vid. I think we'd all want to take that beauty for a spin.
Sped up, slowed down,or normal speed!! I can watch this stuff all day!! SO COOL
you guys' best stop motion yet...and it was nice to see the paper peel again. wish I could go after the 54 Ford wagon that popped up around here. though it'd be a bargain, but they want 8K for a body shell and a busted 289...you guys might wanna slip up here and snatch her up before she disappears into some PA shredder.
Made my day seeing that car run and drive. Saweet.
When you got to long block assembly, I got all emotional!
The best recline rebuild ever!

This video is a work of art in so many ways. ❤
'Friggin Excellent - - I couldn't look away. and btw - I'm 66 - ex-aircraft (C-5 A) mechanic - I knew what all the steps on the motor were ...
Wow. What a treat to see it rip around a track!!!
FANTASTIC video work. Build was fun to follow but this takes the cake. 😁
That was one of the best videos i’ve seen on youtube in a long time
I just discovered this channel and I really enjoy watching these amazing videos… what a great life and a great business you’ve created…. This car is absolutely badass…. Well done on the build..!! I’m jealous….
How the hell those parts walk by itself on timelapse? That's Insane!!!
The amount of work that went into this video is astonishing, im sure there was a whole team working on this project but still! Holy smokes! Beautiful build fellas 🤘🏻
Glad to see this one done! Been waiting for a long time. 🎉
Amazing timelaps. Worth the watch just for that art work.
I was wondering about old snowball, is he going to run a few laps? Then I looked at my screen and saw the memorial,
All I can say now, pedal to the metal, keep grinding the gears, and keep the snowball rolling.
This was such an awesome video. I especially liked the "Rankin & Bass" Animagic style of disassembly and re-assembly of the engine!
