No endless selfies, no endless lounge reports... thank you for not speeding up the take off. The long landing sequence was lovely. It's a pity about the crew. My two most disappointing flights on British Airways were in steerage and First Class, if you can believe that!
I remember that crash in 2001. The pilot slammed down on the rudder too hard during take off too close to another plane to avoid wake turbulence. The tail broke off and the plane smashed down a block away from my cousin's house in Howard Beach. It was weird because it was just after 9/11 so immediately terrorism was on all of our minds. Terrible.
I flew from LAX to LHR during summer of 2018 on Air New Zealand, also on a 777-300ER. A simply beautiful flight, uneventful and smooth, on my first trip to Europe. The food was tasty and the beer/wine were complimentary! So sad when ANZ discontinued this flight during Covid. I hope it comes back! If anyone reading this knows if/when ANZ is returning service to London, please make comments. Thanks!
Thank you for showing this! We are scheduled on the same LAX-LHR flight (BA280) in May then onwards to ATH. Cancellations for British Air flight 280 is high - at least once a week - did not know this fact. Nice to know that American will step in as a partner under One World. Glad you did not miss your connection. Appreciate the flight spotting specs and airport data. Wish British Airways would bring back my favorite plane: Airbus A380. I flew on them many times to Europe with British Air. This time, we are flying free (1 ticket) with the Avios points I have accrued during the pandemic.
Thank you for the video. This is about a year after you took the flight, but I agree with your assessment of American Airlines. There are things they do well, but sometimes the more important things are not handled as well as they should be. Especially when you are dealing with International flights, which were really missed by the airlines because of the pandemic. The one thing I would not have had in the video is information about fatalities on an airline you and others are about to fly on. You stated this information twice, first about the 777-300 you were flying on, and then you stated very specific information about the last flight that resulted in fatalities. Probably not the best topic to discuss for everyone. Oh, before I forget, I liked all of the detail you provided about the airport and the airplane, talking about what you experienced on the ground and in flight. There was a minor detail, passengers being allowed to order alcoholic drinks on the flight, wasn't mentioned.
I actually have a flight leaving tomorrow from Gate 155 and was confused why it was in Terminal B while American operates out of Terminal 4. Thanks for the information!
Nice video! I remember in 2016 flying American Airlines from LAX to LHR. It was great. I kinda preferred it over British Airways; the food was nicer and the service was better.
Awesome viewing I be flying with AA soon , thanks for sharing hope u have great time in Poland , I flown with BA before service was good , I never try ringing them thou
I’ve flown AA to London several times only when I need to use my miles, but yeah, the crew is not always friendly. It’s also the most senior people they pick up these routes. I wish it was younger FAs that will hook it up with alcohol and crack jokes.
American is the best airline i have flown their service is natural they don't even have to try they are just great the food the comfort and the planes with pillows and blankets the pilots and flight crew amazing my flights all ended up arriving early than scheduled 👍👍 highly recommend them
What color is the sky where you live? I don't know how you could possibly seriously say the things you did about American, because not much was true. They do have pillows and blankets, so there you go.
Nice video. But why cant they allow check-in at TBIT directly. Its insane that one has to walk this much. I wonder how difficult would it be for families with kids to walk from domestic terminal to TBIT.
Good video I liked the sunset! But pathetic meal service for an major international airline; no dessert for dinner and the salad did not look appetising! And breakfast is no more than a small snack. I would expect something much more on a long haul flight. I have been served better meals on Air Algerie's domestic routes!
American airline is a full service airline but acts like a low cost airline. An awful mentality. There are so many parts of their service they could elevate by just changing suppliers. Why all the plastic in this day and age? Also the plastic is cheaply made and flimsy. The food and portion size is pitiful compare to other airlines on a longer transatlantic route from the west coast. They have good drink service in economy and they’re refill or give you more from my experience if you need but the holes are too many in the soft product and the 777 averages 9 years old but looks outdated with a tiny 9 inch screen compare to competitors with 13 inches nowadays. American Airlines is mostly disappointing and forgettable. No wonder their staff is never happy like the one time this lady snapped at me for not twisting my luggage fully in the overhead bin. I’ll always remember that sneering look and attitude.
Yes, Yes, Yes! I flew American LHR-LAX last November and I couldn't believe how unprofessional the crew was. They were bitter and condescending. It isn't the only time I've seen this with American. They'd be a decent overall airline, in my opinion , if they're inflight crew had an attitude adjustment. I honestly try to avoid them now.

Rockaway Beach actually.
@meganwiggins.20 years ago we should be fine
My god you really like to tell horror stories
such a woke airline but then again the US these days is quite a pathetic weak country that is being demolished from the inside out
Made the flight on a flight simulator and will make the return soon. Nice!

I think they had been planning to discontinue the route before covid began so unfortunately I don’t think it’s returning.

I’ve been on an American 777-300ER three times. DFW-HKG and Back in Premium Economy, and JFK-LHR in Flagship Business!
Inaugural airlines for translatic livery, JetBlue also operates Angeles to London heathrow
Nicely Done!
Thanks!
Very good. I like the text, which is very informative 👍 👌

Was that your first time flying? I promise AA is mid tier at best
you obviously have never flown international airlines like ANA, Singapore, etc. AA is like taking Trailways by comparison.

LHR T5 >>>>> Tom Bradley International 😊😋🥰 Great video! 👍

Belíssimo Vídeo Com 777 Parabéns Exelente Registro 😊 ✈️🇧🇷✌️
I just flew AA from Tokyo to DFW in economy last night. It was miserable.
how was the recline on this airplane. Was a lot and comfortable
How turbulent was the flight as a whole?
That’s the one good thing about first class. If the plane goes down, usually no one in first class survives.
Okay I’m kidding! 😮
Don’t get offended.
They also operate Air New Zealand on their 787 and their 777-300ER all blacks and original every and 777-200ER
Did you sleep on the plane?
A little

Pretty sad looking breakfast. You get more food on a 6 hr flight from Paris to Dubai than a 10+ hour trans-atlantic flight.
👍👍👍👍🤝🤝
were many people wearing maks on the plane
No
I wonder if American will ever send their 787s on this route. Their 777s are getting old honestly and need replacement.

You'd think they'd be somewhat more civil in First Class; that's not always the case.
Old, tired, entitled. American CAs suck.
Who cares! As long as they get you from A to B then what's the problem
Joa kein schlechtes Video
British airways is horrible ! Agree with you ! Thx for the video
So is American Airlines.
United is the worst.
The breakfast service looks appalling for a 10hr flight. Not cool American Airlines! Other airlines offer a better onboard service,
Some really disappointing food
Can't you just narrate your words aloud instead of showing them on screen?
You poor thing.
10:10 Emirates EK521 : am I a joke to you?
