Hands down the best flight/travel reviewer. Even keeled, highly intelligent, smarter wife, and always a great edit with great sound quality. You should teach a course to some of these other travel humans.
Hey Jeb, I agree that the CX First lounge is the best at T3 although the view isn't great. Most of it is obscured by aerobridges...etc. I see you had to use a lot of zoom in your plane spotting footage? Qantas are opening up a dedicated first class lounge there later this year (or 2024) which is great news as their shared J/F lounge is often crowded. I'd argue that the Qantas First lounge in Sydney probably has the best view in the world. The apron and many gates are directly below it and aircraft rotate or land on the main runway right in front of it.
We really wanted to check out the Qantas lounge, but just didn’t have time. Decided to save it for a QF flight out of LHR. No plans. But hopefully soon! Until then, farewell brother. 🤣
This first class is what many airlines offer in business class nowadays, so not a big surprise that they will phase this out. Who in their right mind would pay $15K for this? 😅 [edit: this is a good thing, as we can experience what used to be first class for “only” business class money]
Agreed. They’ve basically bumped first class long haul to business class long haul. And business class long haul is now premium economy. We just flew premium economy to Japan on Delta and it was basically what my parents would fly when they did business class with Cathay Pacific in the early 2000’s.
Just like with everything nowadays, shrinkflation. We, the consumer, pay more, get less while company executives get bonuses. I don't fly anymore, let them all rot.
@@mitchdenner9743 how is that relevant to shrinkflation? If anything business class products are better than what they used to be 20 years ago and I’d say with the increased popularity of credit card and frequent flyer points etc they are more accessible to mainstream consumers than they were 20 years ago. Also not sure how business executives get their bonuses are relevant to airfares. I guess you are trying to make the point that executives are overpaid and get too much perks but I can rest assured you business travel is no perk. Having done a few trips where I worked in the offices day of departure, then head to the airport to fly a red eye to an international location in business class, then straight into meetings/businesses once you arrive is not fun and certainly not possible if you got stuck in economy not being able to get any reasonable rest. Companies pay extra to fly people in business not because it’s fun it’s because they want to maximize employee working time on the ground.
My favourite airport to spot planes is LAX, huge variety of aircraft, airlines, and action packet all day and all night! And the weather and atmosphere is awesome in LA
love seeing you run/hop/jump/skip down the bridge to the plane and thought it was a little funny the lotions and potions experienced so much turbulence. Thanks for the new video. 🦋🦋
I love the seat and the desk feature very unique. I do believe that Flagship First should have Wifi included especially at 15,000 a ticket. Also you can really tell the age of the seat with that screen but it seems you do get all the true amenities of a first class and I hope that AA keeps the same level with their next first class. I’d call it Flagship Firstish
That empty lounge highlights the waste. They could just make the cabins more comfortable instead of wasting all of that money on premium for a few people.

My thing is if you going to complain about American airlines international first class why don't you go try Delta compared to American airlines believe me it's a difference between Greyhound and Amtrak
That's a far cry from Air France's First Class where a chauffeur comes to pick you up, a concierge takes you through all the steps and a limo drives you to your plane. And the lounge and food are something else altogether.

This looks ok, maybe $3k not $15k, no US carrier has a flight worth 15k one-way, 15k is Emirates, Ethihad price points. Great video Mr and Mrs Brooks :)
Huh? I don’t know of any carrier that charges $15000 for a one-way across the Atlantic from Heathrow. None. Not even fully-refundable first. Emirates F round trip from LAX-DXB-JED is around $12,000 on an A380 - I’ve done it many times, the most recently January returning last month.
@davecarsley8773 They weren't multiplying the $5000 by 8 hours for the $15,000.00 x 8. They were stating that you could charter a plane for 8 hours at $5,000.00 an hour for a total of $40,000.00 . Which is only $10,000.00 more than the iffy 1st class the couple on the show paid to traveled. I hope it was a mistake and it was $15,000.00 one way for both and not each. Prices for one way are always stupidity more costly than they should be. 😊
I dislike domestic US carriers even in the States. Being stuck in one internationally seems a nightmare. Nothing special about this it compares unfavorably to Business Air France.

The Spirits and Whiskey list is the same as their domestic. When I flew first class on British Airways a few years ago we had Johnny Walker Blue and amazing Champagne.
Thanks for the review, Jeb! And perfect timing too, as I am booked on AA First on FCO-JFK in 2 weeks. Like you, I redeemed miles and 72.5k seemed like too much of a bargain not to grab straight away 😂
My grandma lives 10 minutes away from ORD. I grew up watching all kinds of aircraft come in to land out of my aunts sunroof. When I was super young (born ‘96) before 9/11 you used to be able to get so close too! Even as an adult, there’s nothing like the sound of roaring jet engines up close! Fun fact: I once counted the amount of time that lapsed between each takeoff from a single runway. On busy days (most days are at O’Hare) they would takeoff between every 45-60 seconds 🤯
Favorite planespotting airports: JFK: Variety and volume DCA: River Visual approach LAX: West coast JFK SFO: Races along the bay ATL: Sheer volume. LHR is one I’m visiting later in the year, so I’m hoping for the best.
I'll admit that I'm not the most well-traveled person on the planet and I've seen far more small, regional airports than international hubs, but my favorite plane-spotting airport so far has been Boston-Logan International. Last time I was there I found a seat in one of the terminals that was pointed towards the runways so I just sat down and watched planes take off, land, and roll past until my own flight was ready.
I sent you an email a couple years ago asking about a swiveling seat on a Boeing 777 aircraft but I couldn't remember which airline it was on, but then you told me that it was the American Airlines 777 first class. Thank you for finally featuring this on a video. And I probably have enough points to fly from Dallas to London in first class.
who on earth pays 15000 USD from London to New york when on American airlines delhi to new york on first class is 5499 USD. Its insane how companies price their tickets
Quick checkin, faster boarding, access to lounges/ flagship dining, better/bigger seats, more privacy, amenities kits and fine dining in the air. Depends on when the flight was purchased as well. First class start from mid 5k and go up to 25k depending on demand. Everything is included within that price and not only the flight itself. Also anything extra that is offered high up in the air should be appreciated. It is also a market opportunity for an airline to make money. If you create only couple of hundred difference between first and economy, everyone will want the first class. Also for people who can travel first class for them 15k is peanuts.
I’m surprised you didn’t have issues at the fast track security. It took almost 30 minutes for me about 2 months ago. Someone I saw go to the normal line was through faster than I was. Not the first time either.
Always good to see another upload from you, Jeb! I’m getting ready to head on my longest flight here in about a month. Flying with Air Canada from Vancouver to Brisbane, Australia. And then on my return to America, flying with Qantas from Sydney all the way to Dallas Except I’m gonna be in just regular economy.
@@GreenerGrass thanks Jeb! I’m going to Canada first to ride the Canadian, from Toronto to Vancouver And then I fly to Australia. Where I’m gonna ride both the Ghan & Indian Pacific both ways! For epic train trips in Australia, and another one in Canada It’s gonna be a trip for the ages
Jeb, this is a great video. I love how constructive you are with your criticism - you don't make it sound harsh and at the same time sound reasonable (just like your good friend Denis, another great reviewer IMO).
AA are pulling out numbers from *you know where* 😉 when it comes to pricing this seat, and what makes it really unacceptable is that you've compared this product other business class products. Great video as always, Jeb and Suzanne.
I love your videos! It's so fascinating seeing different airlines and airports, and you and Susan are such a delight to watch! Have you ever considered looking at airline museums and doing videos on past and current airlines? There's a Northwest Airlines museum in Bloomington, MN (not far from MSP) that has a comprehensive history of the airline up to the Delta merger!
Thank you! I just booked these for 41k miles and $44.10 for my wife and I and I am excited to use the lounge access in LHR and DFW before we go on to our final destination
Love plane spotting from the Chase Sapphire lounge out of Logan Airport - if you get the right seat you can see a bunch of planes sitting at gates, then two runways for landing/ takeoff with the bay in the background.
I am glad you experienced the First Class product in American. For me, I would ask my best friend if he wants to use his points for First Class. He has flown a lot of Business Class with accumulating soo many more points over the years. But he has become use to Business Class with his Platinum Executive Level.
Awesome video Jeb! The American Airlines Flagship First Class from LHR-DFW on their 777-300ER looks sweet! 😅However, for $15,000 or MORE! 💸💸🤑I don’t think it’s worth the money but maybe you can justify that cost. I’d rather fly AA Economy or Economy Plus no matter how long the trip as I’m comfy in any cabin and just LIVE & LOVE TO FLY! 😅 Also at 3:02 that’s a bit controversial as you’d prefer plane spotting at London Heathrow over Frankfurt??? REALLY? 🤔 *FRA still has the B747s both passenger and freighter variants I’d 100% PREFER FRANKFURT OVER HEATHROW!* Cheers 🥂 my friend! A HUGE CHEERS to Flagship First! Also *YOU HAVE FEATURED AMERICAN AIRLINES INTERNATIONALLY before on this channel! You flew their B737 MAX 8 Economy from St. Marten 🇳🇱 🇫🇷 to Miami Florida 🇺🇸 and THAT IS ABSOLUTELY INTERNATIONAL!* Especially since St. Marten is both French and Dutch it’s really like flying from two countries to the USA! 🇺🇸 😅 Thanks Jeb! 🙏
Great video as always, such a pleasure to watch! Excited as I have LAX-SYD in Flagship F soon! I highly recommend Greenland, I rank it in my top 10 countries! Would be amazing to see you hop onboard the Air Greenland neo and head up the Illulisat. Hope one day you get to do the Greenland video. Thanks again!
I really enjoy your videos. We don't go by plane very often. We usually drive everywhere. Your videos are like a mini vacation right from my computer room.. My favorite place to watch planes is Bangor International airport.Because it's about half an hour from my house
Tokyo Narita has two great outdoor plane spotting areas on either end of the roof. It’s definitely my favorite but I’ve never flown anything but coach so I haven’t had many good spots to look from.
When I’m lucky enough to be riding up front I have noticed that most of the window seats are not that close to the actual window. This is particularly true during takeoff and landing when the seat has to be upright and all the way back. Are all widebody business and first class seats like this? Maybe when you are reviewing the seat you could mention how accessible the window is for outside viewing and filming. Thanks.
Pretty much from my experience on BA and AF A-380's, AF 777 and Delta. Seems like they would move the seat closer (maybe an inch or two) to the window to make the aisle wider, unless space is need for turbulence and vibrations to eliminate possible damage. If there is an expert who knows why I'd be interested in knowing.
All first class products in my experience place great emphasis on space, including shoulder space. Business class products that use a reverse herringbone design are also distant from the wall (except your feet). Emirates business class (old school) has seats close to the windows, as does Qataria’s QSuite cabin. The old BA business class did, too. Both QR and BA business class face backwards however and, to me, are a bit claustrophobic. I find the window and fuselage too close to my shoulder/arm - just like an economy class seat.
What a coincidence .... I am booking a flight from DFW -> LHR today. I was considering Flagship First but I decided on Flagship Business Plus because I like the privacy in Business compared to First. Also, with this ticket, you have access to Flagship First Dining Lounge at DFW and the Cathay First Class Lounge at LHR.
We are flying Flagship next month from DFW to LHR and then sailing back to NYC on QM2. I LOVE your videos. I booked our airfare the day they first became available and got a great deal. This may sound like a strange question, but here goes. I see when you board, you don’t enter first class like on a normal sized plane - are you offered to deplane first or is it a free for all? Reason I ask is we have a short layover in London before taking a short flight to EDI. Thanks so much!
Amazing video Jeb! ❤❤❤ Will ask however, what about a Southwest Airlines flight from the West Coast to Hawaii? ❤❤❤. Odd question but worth it. Great job once again!
Love the videos guys. Always been kind of apprehensive about US carriers. Back in my time we had Eastern, Delta, TWA, and others. I hope US carriers start getting in line with Asian and European carriers for a better flying experience for all passengers flying all over the world. Safe travels you two and keep the great videos coming!
I have 2MM miles on AA, they are my hometown airline. It’s amazing how often they miss the mark. Cathay lounge v. AA lounge is just one example. For better or worse, I am captive to them. They have shown some improvement the last two years so fingers crossed.
Thank you for being so reasonable and kind with your Jeb Score. The lounge should indeed be 4, considering it will be 4 for people who don't know they can lounge hop (like my dad!).
Another great video. Here's something for consideration, Qantas has sightseeing flights down to Antarctica, with the most popular being on New Years Eve.
Flew on this exact flight back in November, albeit in Business Class- completely agree with your scoring. Love the video and made me want to book another trip to LHR this year!

Thanks for a great video! I am flying the AA Flagship First to Sydney soon and this video was a great primer on what to expect!
Favorite planespotting airports:
JFK: Variety and volume
DCA: River Visual approach
LAX: West coast JFK
SFO: Races along the bay
ATL: Sheer volume.
LHR is one I’m visiting later in the year, so I’m hoping for the best.
For JFK nothing beats the TWA hotel pool
I went to ZRH, it was free since i was flying that day. so many beautiful a343s
I lived in Winthrop, MA and would take our boats right up to the runway at Logan....
15k FOR WHAT?
15k only to pay an extra $35 for WiFi
The ability to Sleep comfortably I suppose but it was I my a 9 hour flight I thought I heard.
who on earth pays 15000 USD from London to New york when on American airlines delhi to new york on first class is 5499 USD. Its insane how companies price their tickets
@@truthseeker327He wasn't going to New York.
We’re flying that same flight in business class in May. Thanks for the review.
The American lounge looked great to me!
O'Hare just cause I grew up outside of Chicago it has a special place in my heart.
I’m surprised you didn’t have issues at the fast track security. It took almost 30 minutes for me about 2 months ago. Someone I saw go to the normal line was through faster than I was. Not the first time either.
We must have lucked out. Literally nobody in line!
I think Suzanne should make her own channel. Thanks for flying all over to show us these cool things :)
Always good to see another upload from you, Jeb!
I’m getting ready to head on my longest flight here in about a month. Flying with Air Canada from Vancouver to Brisbane, Australia.
And then on my return to America, flying with Qantas from Sydney all the way to Dallas
Except I’m gonna be in just regular economy.
Have a GREAT trip!!
@@GreenerGrass thanks Jeb!
I’m going to Canada first to ride the Canadian, from Toronto to Vancouver
And then I fly to Australia. Where I’m gonna ride both the Ghan & Indian Pacific both ways!
For epic train trips in Australia, and another one in Canada
It’s gonna be a trip for the ages
Nice video! I have free Delta flights and i love seeing what the first class competitions are to delta one! Im about to get on my 294th plane at 14!
Jeb, this is a great video. I love how constructive you are with your criticism - you don't make it sound harsh and at the same time sound reasonable (just like your good friend Denis, another great reviewer IMO).
I appreciate that! Thanks so much!
I’m going to New York soon with my family on a Ba 777 my dad has over 230k miles so we will get upgraded to first or business. I’m so exited!😊
I like the AAFirst pajamas. I used them on a 17 hour Singapore Airlines flight.
They are quite soft and comfy!👍
You're so right about that lounge. The one you used instead looks super luxe.
I’m remember as kid in the seventies, going plane spotting at Heathrow, when there was viewing platform and far less security in the world
AA are pulling out numbers from *you know where* 😉 when it comes to pricing this seat, and what makes it really unacceptable is that you've compared this product other business class products.
We love to visit aviation museums! But nobody makes videos about them quite as well as our buddy Paul Stewart!
@@GreenerGrass Ooh, awesome! I'll go check out his videos! Thanks!
Thank you! I just booked these for 41k miles and $44.10 for my wife and I and I am excited to use the lounge access in LHR and DFW before we go on to our final destination
only 41k for first class between LHR and DFW?
Love plane spotting from the Chase Sapphire lounge out of Logan Airport - if you get the right seat you can see a bunch of planes sitting at gates, then two runways for landing/ takeoff with the bay in the background.
You should try air Greenland with Noel Phillips! Great vid as always!!!
Hands down this was An amazing video with a decent amount of points spent will recommend
Love your video. Although I don’t fly much these years, your video always reminds me about the good time.
Thank you for sharing your trip here.😊
I am glad you experienced the First Class product in American.
REALLY? 🤔 *FRA still has the B747s both passenger and freighter variants I’d 100% PREFER FRANKFURT OVER HEATHROW!*
Cheers 🥂 my friend!
Thanks Jeb! 🙏
Qantas first is probably the pick of the OneWorld first lounges at Heathrow
Always love your videos! You both do an excellent job and appreciate the honesty and great experiences!
3:40 Walkers shortbread are awesome!
You can buy that in a store without paying 15K for a flight. (I agree about the shortbread though.)
Tokyo Narita has two great outdoor plane spotting areas on either end of the roof. It’s definitely my favorite but I’ve never flown anything but coach so I haven’t had many good spots to look from.
Thank you Jeb for this excellent review! I love your style. Question: do you have a review of a Boeing 787-10?
Fantastic review. New to the channel and I definitely hit that subscribe button. Thanks! Cheers from Alabama!
Welcome! Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Another great video. Here's something for consideration, Qantas has sightseeing flights down to Antarctica, with the most popular being on New Years Eve.
This channel is goated 🎉🎉🎉
Fr I have been watching him since 2018
My fav place to spot planes is probably Newark because of United’s beautiful livery
Love watching y’all’s videos😃 I’m an American Airlines flight attendant and would have loved to had been your Purser!
You’re the best travel TH-camr on the planet, Jeb! Another terrific video!
Wow, thanks, Scott! High praise from one of my business idols!!
Flew on this exact flight back in November, albeit in Business Class- completely agree with your scoring. Love the video and made me want to book another trip to LHR this year!
I’ll say anchorage international airport.. love those 747’s
Another super video presented very well. Thank you!
I still think American Airlines is the worst major carrier in the country
#HotTake They’re all terrible these days. 😬
We love this channel. Love traveling with you and Susan❤❤❤🥂🥂
Yes another fantastic video jeb ❤❤❤❤
That’s a great shirt! And such a good channel.
LAX is my favorite airport for spotting, Kevin does a great job. Next for me is Frankfurt, all the Lufthansa 747s! Next Heathrow, then Amsterdam....Nice review Jeb. safe travels!
Kevin is a great friend and we love to catch the action at LAX on AVL! Awesome variety of airlines and aircraft.
