    When we go into full production mode in the woodyard it is not always for firewood.

    Literally been looking for talking about your cameras in so many videos. Hit the goldmine!

      Main camera is iPhone 15...and has always been the iPhone (whatever model I had) and then occasionally the GoPro for action shots that need the stabilization.

    The videos are very well put together. It's not surprising that a lot of work goes into it

    One thing I've noticed is that you have a LOT of original ideas and... some of them are great ones. This video is a prime example. I realize you don't ever want to give away all your secrets but I (and I'm sure many others) would love to see even more behind the scenes on content creation. Thanks for sharing! 👊👊👊

      Thanks for that feedback...I'll probably at some point make more content on creating content. There is more to it than most think.

      Thanks, yes I've had a lot of experience both with production and editing...and on both sides of the camera.

    I like the behind the scenes stuff. Dan, can you go into how you deal with the constant “pressure” needing to create more content. Do you have days were you don’t film at all and just enjoy splitting wood? Also, how do you keep your footage organized once you put it on a harddrive? Do you store by day, by topic, by camera device used etc

    • @DanielAtkinsFirewood
      @DanielAtkinsFirewood 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I am not as technical as Dan is, me personally I have days. I just don't bother with the camera.

    • @Back40Firewood
      @Back40Firewood  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yep I have days I don't film and days I film more than one video. Don't really feel 'pressure' on the content creating side of things. Once I am done editing I trash all source files and just keep the final version that is uploaded.

    Great explanation, Dan. I once heard another TH-camr say that even though his was a woodworking channel, he was more of a content creator than a woodworker. Also, the multiple camera angles give us a better view of you nailing the carport with a piece of bark lol.

      @Back40Firewood  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yep that's pretty much how I look at it...a content creator with firewood as the subject matter...lol...I haven't hit any bark off the carport for awhile now, I'm overdue! Hahaha

    Hi Dan, I enjoyed the video, very interesting how you spend the time moving cameras and positioning them and Amanda's part in helping ( I said bless you out loud both times she sneezed). Keep up the awesome content.

    Amanda also adds a much needed aspect to the splitting of the wood besides the cam set up. She brings a different audience at times and also she proves to those who doubt a woman's ability to handle a tough job is a false belief. I would suggest a yoga pant/shorts sponsorship for sure! Amanda I for one really appreciates your presence in the splitting videos.. Make sure you and the Little man are on the compensation list.

    QQQ Dan Running the Lights on the Ceiling of your Carport is that Why you Made that Not just to keep the Rain Off your Equipment and Can you Show your lights from the Ceiling facing Down 👍

    • @Back40Firewood
      @Back40Firewood  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Well the protection from the elements, rain, snow, sun is main reason for the carport. But then blocking the natural light makes a need to have lights.

    Amanda should be running the splitter and you and your son horsing the rounds over to the splitter.
