Free wood is my favorite type of wood and that 1 looked sweet. Could you maybe park trailer somewhere close and go back and forth with truck, it is 2x loading but you dump it at the end and save some mileage
I always cringe when they call and say I’ve got free wood all cut up for ya . 9 time outa 10 is cut crooked and in various lengths but that stuff didn’t look to bad . Nice score Chris keep building them relationships and you will never have to buy wood again
G’morning Chris ! Yes, that’s an awesome score and connection ! I’ve made many a friend by doing that exact same thing you done. Led to many good things. Sweeet action ! Nice wood. GoodNightIrene
Why don’t you take your trailer, just leave it out off her property. Them pick - up load to the trailer . Them you can bring a trailer and pick - up load back to your wood 🪵 yard. 😊 remember use between your ear 👂 for THINKING 🤔 and feet 🦶 for dance 🕺. Get an another hitch welder on the back off the big N&N them you could pull baby N&N and plus pick- up all in one trip . 😊 call V train on the highway 😮.
You were reading my mind again, weren't you, Chris... That is exactly what I'm doing today- going and getting free wood. Ecxept mine is hard maple- greenish, and very old well seasoned soft maple. I hafta cut the latter, as its big logs n chunks, but thats fine- its still solid, and dries out in days. ( The fire pit is hungry!!)
Chris, you look to be back to full strength. Probably feels good to get back to your scrounger roots occasionally vice pulling levers while sitting in the processor.
That is a whole lot of good looking wood already cut. Too bad you can't bring the trailer in. It costs a lot more to make the extra trips. Sounds like you have a couple of good contacts, because you can't have too much wood.
You have to get Bo he would have that truck loaded before you ever got off the truck seat. Watch lifting those heavy ones. Kenny from Western North Carolina
Is there a way that you could park one of the trailers at the property and go back and load your truck and then take to the trailer and transfer the wood to it. You could maybe save yourself some time and work? 🤔👍❤️😃
I get people that call me every now and then that had a tree cut down or one that blew over wanting me to come clean it up. They pay me and I get wood. Really nice when they had a tree service come in to take them down and they are already all limbed up and all that mess gone lol. Had one recently that had about a 24 inch hard maple taken down. Gave me $150 to remove it and I got probably around a full cord to sell. It was real dead standing the bark was already falling off when I picked it up was ready to sell basically as soon as I split it. It was on the side of her driveway too so not like I had to go out into the woods or anything it was right there on her driveway
Take ur dump trailet park it on the side road outside the property. Get the wood with the truck and stack it in the trailer That way u get more wood in one trip.
She said NO trailers so I did what she wanted to build trust and now I am in like Flin! If i showed up with a trailer I would not have been let in....even the lawn guy has to park way out on the next road with his trailer or he would not be allowed in so...
Wow that’s a great score! Cut perfect right along the road!! Can’t beat that! You are correct one contact always leads to another. As long as you’re respectful it will just keep repeating. Thats how we get most of our free wood. Take care Chris👍🏻👍🏻GNI
I doubt it, the lawn guy who got me in there has a small utility trailer for his rider and he is not allowed to drive in her driveway either after doing the lawn for over 10 years now ...he parks on the street. so...
Nope, side boards would do me no good, my weight was maxed out as it was. It is a 10 year old 1/2 ton and riding on the axles is not to smart safe or legal.
Just me regardless i would've passed, to many trips for the wood that's being hauled out, if she said no dump trailer i would've said im gonna have to pass
A couple hours for $360 worth of wood and potential for LOTS more and contacts for a few other properties with LOTS trees and firewood for free so....I say YES! This will open up the door for thousands of dollars of free wood. Some times you need to step back and see the whole forest not just one tree in front of you....just sayin'!
Nice score. Looks like guy did good job on length. Every place I go 4 inches to 3 feet. I would had to cut most down. You must have strong back. Keep up the good work.
Nice oak rounds, load em up! Same thing happened to me this last week, some old firewood, dry, cut to length weathered, tiny bit of rot starting, but good to go. Easy money! A dozen loads for you at that pace is over 2k inventory in 2 days, PLUS the networking, most valuble of all
Hey Chris … don’t think that comment ‘I must be pretty strong …. smelling!’ went unnoticed! Also, was there the option of taking your big dumper and leaving it outside the property, then just shuttling loads out with your pickup and totally loading it up? The. Hauling it back?
Hi Chris!!😀😀 Nice wood! Too bad you couldn't make her understand that you can get in and out with the baby dumper and not do any damage. The landscaper must pull a trailer when he comes to mowe her lawn. Take care buddy!!😀😀💚💚 Logger Al
A similar chance meeting several years back gave me access to a 640 acre heavily wooded property 45 minutes from home with private dirt bike trails to boot, it saves me a 3hr drive to state trails and I have keys for access anytime I want. Did a tree removal 🤑on same said property on Wed next to his home and he sent me home with his Stihl 460 for a rebuild job🤑, returning his saw tomorrow and removing another tree🤑 near his house which he does not feel comfortable with dropping. 🤑sometimes a guys just falls into it and other times you step in it.🤪
Yup. It is about average for most of the USA....Rural areas (lots of trees and few people) get $150-250 and in the big cities (lots of people and few trees) a cord goes for $500-800...location matters.
sometimes to get wood all you need is to be at the right place at the right time with the right equipment. Brother pulled into a gas station to get fuel pulling a 14ft dump trailer and a tree service walks over and asked if he knew anyone that would like some wood. They really didn't want to be making 50 mile trips back to the shop with it. Brother calls me up and says to stick around and he's on his way. It turned out I ended up with 4 loads of wood that day and a 10 gallon fuel bill
Nice video Chris. You are that guy. Good things happen to honest folks who keep their eyes open for opportunities and treat their benefactors respectfully. GNI
Thanks 👍 I have found that the best time to help some one is when THEY need help not when I have time. I like to give more than I take, it is what separates men from boys.
I have several log lifts ...my arms, Gavin, Bert and Adam AND a tractor..... I have used several splitters with log lifts, they do not save time or much effort and are mostly used as tables and it is smarter to either buy smaller wood or rip the big ones down so you do not have to wrestle those big nasty ones around to get them to and on your machine. But I am no expert, I only sell a couple hundred cords every year.
Flow of motion. I watched you load that truck and lug them off. I make it firewood as fast as possible Coulda had a truck load of split wood on the side of the road
You might want to consider a fun junket to Las Vegas. When your luck is that powerful it'd be a shame to not use it! - For the next while, you could really use a ton dump truck, dump, haul heavier loads, and don't need a trailer to haul more than a cord. The dump function is an incredible, awesome, astonishing labor and time saver. - With all that firewood coming to you, will you be able to sell it all? Deliver? Maybe your buddies, Buffett and Gates will help you. They know firewood is where the big bucks are.
Free wood is my favorite type of wood and that 1 looked sweet. Could you maybe park trailer somewhere close and go back and forth with truck, it is 2x loading but you dump it at the end and save some mileage
The only firewood I've ever burned in 45 years was " Free"!😅
nice!

To much loading and un-loading PLUS she said NO trailers. If I brought a trailer she would have cut me off and kicked me out! So that would be dumb.
Awesome, get to it!
Chris, you look to be back to full strength. Probably feels good to get back to your scrounger roots occasionally vice pulling levers while sitting in the processor.
Yup, field trips are fun and yes I am back to about 89.573197% THANKS!
That is a whole lot of good looking wood already cut. Too bad you can't bring the trailer in. It costs a lot more to make the extra trips. Sounds like you have a couple of good contacts, because you can't have too much wood.
Yup, lots of wood to come!
You have to get Bo he would have that truck loaded before you ever got off the truck seat. Watch lifting those heavy ones.

Yup, help is good!
Is there a way that you could park one of the trailers at the property and go back and load your truck and then take to the trailer and transfer the wood to it. You could maybe save yourself some time and work? 🤔👍❤️😃
NO! She said NO trailers So I did what I was told and now I have access to thousands of dollars of free wood.

That sounds like a great score...some of them are not but a lot are... so you gotta keep looking!
Here in the UK you’d probably be arrested for taking it.
The laws are a joke
Good thing I do not live there ...we still have some FREEDOM here!
Hi Chris,Ed from Vermont, I have wood to hull but to wet to get to the woods where I have wood cut
Yup,l it has been wet here too , rain about every other day!
Something a little goofy with some people's thinking about trailers and pickups......but it is what it is.
yup, it is HER property so I followed HER rules.
I'm trying to sale firewood to.i live in Lavelle PA
Good for you ! Get cutting... you will need more than you can imagine! It sells fast!
Any of his contacts have any of the stone you wanted for the woodyard for when it turns to chocolate frosted cake in the winter and spring?
Not yet...maybe some day??
Why didn't you take your smaller trailer with you?
They did now allow any trailers on the property.
Awesome score, back before you bought truck loads in beginning, this would have set your year, thanks for video Chris I appreciate you
Yup, it will be a good contact!
Take ur dump trailet park it on the side road outside the property. Get the wood with the truck and stack it in the trailer
That way u get more wood in one trip.
She said NO trailers so I did what she wanted to build trust and now I am in like Flin! If i showed up with a trailer I would not have been let in....even the lawn guy has to park way out on the next road with his trailer or he would not be allowed in so...
Nice job
What are the people going to do when they need their septic tank pumped?
It is city water and sewer.... this was way in the back of the 20 acre property.
Wow that’s a great score! Cut perfect right along the road!! Can’t beat that! You are correct one contact always leads to another. As long as you’re respectful it will just keep repeating. Thats how we get most of our free wood. Take care Chris👍🏻👍🏻GNI

Yup, knowing the people who know others is a good thing!
Maybe after she gets to trust you she will let you bring the baby dumper on the property.
I doubt it, the lawn guy who got me in there has a small utility trailer for his rider and he is not allowed to drive in her driveway either after doing the lawn for over 10 years now ...he parks on the street. so...
Nice score easy loading!!👍👍
Yup, now I am spoiled!
$75,000.00 worth of machinery and no sideboards for the pickup ?
🤔
Nope, side boards would do me no good, my weight was maxed out as it was. It is a 10 year old 1/2 ton and riding on the axles is not to smart safe or legal.
Did'nt really understand the dump trailer dilema.
Me neither. But it is HER property and she did not want a trailer on it. So....
Can’t beat that with a stick 😂. Free already cut wood is awesome
Yup, it is that!
Just me regardless i would've passed, to many trips for the wood that's being hauled out, if she said no dump trailer i would've said im gonna have to pass

@@InTheWoodyard also time is money, more wood moved=less cost for fuel
Free always has a price. Beats a gym membership and there is $$$ at the end of the day. Great score Chris
Yup, more handling.
Contacts are the keys to success.
Nice score, Chris 😉👍
Yes they are! Thanks!
What happened to the cherry wood pickup, I haven't seen any pickups in a bit.
I got it all and he moved so....
Great find and worth the exercise. Good contacts/relationships are key to all kinds of things including free firewood.
Couldn't agree more!
What kind of oak is that? It looks like ash to me.
Yup,l it is ash I meant to say ash! My bad!
I think Scheib would be jealous of your find. No roadside logging like he does. Great find.
I think so too!
anyone know where he is? I have not seen a new video in about a month.
Sometimes it feels like stealing lol
Nope, I was doing her a favor, getting it gone!
Nothing is better than a "FIREWOOD FAIRY"
Ha! Yup, it was a good one!
So proud of you. You practice what you preach.
thanks.
Good wood is free wood😁
Yes Contacts important 😁🇦🇺
Yup and yes!
Any snakes out under the wood
No, we have this thing called winter here that starts in August and lasts until the next June ....so no.... Months with below zero temps here.
Good day Chris communication as you stated is imperative to any business and especially Firewood sales cheers🇨🇦
Yup! You gotta talk to people!
Nice score. Looks like guy did good job on length. Every place I go 4 inches to 3 feet. I would had to cut most down. You must have strong back. Keep up the good work.
Yup, a lot of tree service wood is all over the place...their job is to get it on the ground.... not make firewood.
That was a great contact. You’ll have a never ending source, of different types of wood.💯👍🏾😀🫶🏾💜✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
That's right!
Nice oak rounds, load em up! Same thing happened to me this last week, some old firewood, dry, cut to length weathered, tiny bit of rot starting, but good to go.

Yup, it is good to ....."know a guy"!
Thought I was watching a Scheib video at first. Good old fashion hard work. More contacts = more wood. GNI
Yup, road side logging ....or more like road side taking!
7ft offshore gaff unload wood. works great stand outside truck rooll em out
Thanks for the tip!
That's a good workout
Yup, that is the main reason I do firewood ....exercise...I get paid to work out!
sometimes to get wood all you need is to be at the right place at the right time with the right equipment.

Road side logging :) lol
Yup, but more like road side pick up!
Dangit, you'll be buffed and chiseled in no time flat! Maybe Bert could fix up a log lift for yout Ultra. That would help wiht the oak.
I have several log lifts ...my arms, Gavin, Bert and Adam AND a tractor..... Watching you load the wood makes me and probably Irene tired.👍👍👍
It was good exercise, most people need more of it.
You need a small tow behind splitter for these occasions. I do too 🤣
No, I just take it to my wood yard and split it...they want it gone not a work station set up and noise with a mess.
Flow of motion. I watched you load that truck and lug them off. I make it firewood as fast as possible Coulda had a truck load of split wood on the side of the road
@@InTheWoodyard I have an 18’ delivery van with my splitter on it. Firewood as quick as possible
Talk them into at least the baby dumper. Or park up front with dump trailers and drive the tractor back and forth with the grapple
Nope, she was adamant ....no trailers.
Free wood is Good Wood!! I was fortunate enough to get 3 complete pecan trees!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Nice! I hear that is awesome firewood!
You could save handling by splitting each truck load instead of tossing it on the ground.
Still have to get it out of the truck and that day was the only day for a week that I could get the wood so I got it.
You might want to consider a fun junket to Las Vegas. You got that right!
Hi Chris good for you love it Free but no trailer oh well more Truck Load have a good day ( Ty Ron
Yup.
All exercise. You got your work out that day. That is nice wood too.
You got that right!
Quick video but nice professor. 8 outta 10.
Thanks!
Nice..I bet you and your truck felt that load
Yup, wood is good!
Can't quite stuff my 8ft bed that full, the truck sways too much on the road
You might need some new springs and shocks! Or a new truck.
@InTheWoodyard I'm waiting for the government to buy my next truck, since I paid my college loans off all by myself.
Easy $$
I lifted all the rounds in and out of the truck and will be splitting them soon...not so easy.
Nice!! Where’s that pickaroon?
For what? I have a complete functioning body that is faster and better than a stick for loading wood.
The grunting lets ya know it’s still a little green lol
Yup, it will be great firewood!
Better to look at it than look for it... nice find... 🤠
Yup, thanks!
🤘
Thanks!
Perfect way to score some wood. Peace
Thanks!

I like FREEDOM.
YOU SAVED THAT WOOD FROM CERTAIN DEATH!
This is where you borrow Bert's truck.
Nope, mine is fine.
@InTheWoodyard I thought you would want something bigger to use.

Should have brought the baby dumpper...
Like he said in the video the property owner said they didn’t want trailers on the property
