GLADYS Knight is one of my favorite female singers ever. I still would love to hear her sing Great Gig in the Sky. You caught that controlled voice, that’s right, she is like the tip of an iceberg. You know that she has the power to just rip it out. Like when you heard Evanescence. That clear as crystal perfect pitch, and that rumbling fire deep down in the soul ready to to let loose is what their gift to all of us is, and we are grateful. In just about every great song, there is some member of the band that is allowed to rip it out just for us. It is a gift and an honor to be present.

What a beautiful and emotional song that brings me to tears even after all these years. The 'breakup' has happened to so many of us, and the pain is still so palpable, even after many years, that the emotions just resurrect themselves. The regret, the 'wonder why it had to happen' is always there , and even if you've found another, it's very hard to ignore and forget the past. There was a reason why we were there before.. and I refuse to pretend that those years and relationships meant nothing. They really did, and I will always give them the respect and 'love' they deserve. For me, and for them. God Bless what they meant to me, and hopefully, our best times still mean something.

I've had the great privilege of seeing Gladys Knight in person 5 times. I'll cherish those memories always.

Queen of Tears was a huge hit for GK & TP in the UK back in the day... Plenty of soulful diva-drama, and a great example of those fantastic funky cross-rhythms (not sure of the technical name for it) they always incorporate into their arrangements.. Love it!

One of the best voices ever, unfortunately I discovered her not so long ago... I wish I had listened to her sooner

As a child growing in the 70's There's just no other era of music that come close to music like the 60's-80's. So good and so real. There's just none other like Gladys Knight. She's a special kind of singer and those Pips was so good. Thank you for your review.

I still get chills when I hear her. I wanted to be her when I was a young girl. But I couldn't because I am white! 😭😁

WOW, One of my all-time favorite artist and songs. Gladys has that natural cry in her voice that brings on the goosebumps! This song, my Lord, the emotions!!! Its hard to not keep a tear out of your eye! Her best work although, all of her works is magical and, she’s still performing in her 80’s.
THANK YOU for playing this song!
