I have been using LNM for some time but I recently bought a Navigraph subscription and can't see me switching back to LNM unless Navigraph is unavailable for some reason. It is so flexible; not only can you use the in-cockpit display but you can also open it on a separate screen, or even your iPad and the integration when you switch is seemless and you don't have to do anything else. This of course leaves you 'flying screen' uncluttered. The approach and airport charts in-sim on tablet and/or FMS which is fully integrated with Navigraph, really improve the immersion. Moreover, you are using the charts in the same way RW pilots do. One thing that is missing - unless I have overlooked it - is the ILS 'feathers' which show in green on LNM. These are useful in two ways, they give an immediate indication on the direction of the runway and, more importantly, they show you the max expected radio range of the ILS locator and the angle over which you should expect to pick it up. If you can afford it, there is no doubt in my mind that Navigraph enables the most realistic flying experience.

Navigraph is the best all round navigation solution currently.

I can see the attraction of being able to overlay charts onto a moving map; however, LNM will overlay the route of departures, arrivals and approaches onto its map. Admittedly, you don't get the extra information such as altitudes, minima or runway elevation on screen but if using a GPS such as a GTN 750, you can reference most of them.
As I'm primarily a GA flyer at the moment, I use Charts Finder 3 to download pdf files of charts and use them for reference in Sky4Sim pad. (As you pointed out, a program such as Charts Finder 3 can download charts for the majority, but not all, countries.) It doesn't overlay them onto a map, though, so I have to use them the old-school way; since its usually charts such as airport diagrams I use, it serves its purpose.
However, now I'm using the BKSQ TBM 850 more, I'll start flying more IFR routes - it'll be interesting to see if LNM meets my requirements or if I'll find the need to bite the bullet and subscribe to Navigraph.

If your current Navigation apps/aids suit your flying style, then that's great. thanks for sharing your own thoughts & experiences.

I did a one month subscription to Navigraph and like it enough to extend it to a yearly. I'm on Xbox and even though some planes have Navigraph integrated I don't bother with it. I want to keep my sim memory as clean as possible so I get nice smooth flights. I have a Mac sitting right beside me and that's where I have everything displayed. My plane isn't followed on the map but I haven't found that to be an issue. There is still the MSFS VFR map if I get wildly off course.

I use FSTRAMP and have been since FS2004 and maybe earlier. I have Navigraph charts also but FSTRAMP is my main moving map program.

I’m new at this. A video on the options for Xbox users would be helpful even if there aren’t that many. A guide, or work arounds for Xbox would be helpful.

      One I'll certainly think about.
Navigraph is integrated with at least a couple of aircraft on the Xbox platform; like the Honda Jet and the 146 Professional.

i like the idea of navigraph and overlaid charts for larger airliner flying, but I don't do a lot of that, I tend to fly much more GA than larger. But at $132Aussie bucks a year, that isn't something I would get value from when I can get some reduced usability from other free resources, and instead I could use the funds on buying additional aircraft. For me, LNM and the free other bits will suffice... and I hadn't seen your chartfox option before, will have to check it out (although AU is well covered by the real charts being freely available)

I just subscribed and it is amazing. Problem is I also got TDM GTNXi. Also pretty amazing. Still not sure I will keep Navigraph, only because the price, although warranted is pretty steep. Dont think I will keep both.

The TDS NXI Garmin only displays North America charts at this time. A lot of us are hoping Navigraph will be integrated into it soon.

@@Huddison I only fly North America so its great for me. Sadly, everything I have read is that Navigraph will not be integrated into the TDS. Navigraph is great for planes with the 1000X however.
