My dad is a pilot so he has Foreflight Works amazing. But before i started using foreflight i was using chartfox and it worked just fine!

These days, Navigraph is integrated into the avionics suite of some aircraft. I’m happy to pay the sub. Thanks for letting us know of this alternative though.
Yes I did make a mention of this integration towards the end of this video. That's vital for many.
Awesome! Will this work for the Xbox? I’m really hoping for ATC with either Vatsim or somewhere else. It’s also lame that I can get the Xbox to pair or link up with the “moving map”.
When is this going to change for Xbox?
You can get Sids/Stars/Approach info for the Xbox using Chartfox.
Hopefully an App with a moving Map will come to the Xbox at some point.

Looks really cool, but unless it can update the data for the aircraft FMC it's a non starter for Vatsim. Seems good for taxiing though!

There is no current addon/plug in software that is compatible with XBOX due to Microsoft limitations
They're certainly good enough for flight simulation although I did notice at 04:53, the SID DET 2F 2G 1J 1K chart is dated October 2021, so if truly authentic simming is one's game then these charts may not be as good as at first they seem. Definitely worth a punt though. I'm in for a couple of quid a month - when I can get MSFS back up and running!
It's not bad, although Navigraph offers a whole lot more Currently.
AviTab apparently supports ChartFox now.
Hi 👋 anyone else having problems with not being able to connect online? Can't access marketplace etc. Tried connecting in game but nothing happening..the option is unavailable. This has been going on now for a couple of weeks. Hope you're all keeping cool 😎 and thanks for the great video Huddison 🏴👍

@@Huddison I am online and network settings say connected but not in the game. I clicked on my profile name to check status. Dropdown box says Offline but I'm not able to change this? I'm clueless 😐

I looked at ChartFox, and with me being based in Canada, Canadian airports were the first things I searched. However, it doesn't seem to have ANY Canadian airports!
Ouch! That's a glaring hole in the program.
@@HuddisonDosen't have any Greek airports either. Just got the navigraph unlimited, it's really worth it after all.

hi i watched the video through and your Littlnavmap video (which was great) but i am still unsure what buttons i press to get littlenavmap to show Chartfox??
They are separate programs: I have littlenavmap opened in its own window - same with Chartfox. Then I just simply use my mouse to switch between them.
Ive taken out a month of navigraph primarily for the updated airac in the sim and in simbrief. Its a really nice tool but i cant see myself renewing as chartfox does the job well enough for charts. Ill probably just sub every couple of months to update the airac
It's the integration of Navigraph charts in certain aircraft, that I treasure.

I use the Xbox series X. Are there any programs that work on the Xbox? Don't feel that any utility is compatible with the X-box. While that gives an extra dimension to Flight Simulator 2020.
The charts and info of Chartfox, are compatible with the Xbox version of MSFS.
I don't know of any external programs that fully interact (in any other way) with MSFS currently.
Is there a way to show a browser window (for example chartfox) inside MSFS, so I dont have to switch to my desktop?
Only if you enable Windowed mode in MSFS.
I was never sold on Navigraph as found the Sids very complicated on Navigraph and NOT user friendly... So think will cancel it and donate to Chart Fox...I think you hit the nail on the Head it is expensive these days and since any problems on Vatsim re SIDS given to me, its Chart Fox that AT have sent me.. I would have loved to keep Navigraph but never could get the Tube station type routes to work....Could be me. Actually Huddison thinking on it...... when I have been doing Vatsim training while flying, its always Little Nav maps I went to rather than Navigraph....As I said might be me but I found Navigraph routes over complicated to plan and they never seemed to work properly, but to be fair I only took on Navigraph at the same time as Vatsim so both require a fair bit of time to be comfortable with....Many thanks Huddison.
I hope Chartfox will prove useful for your future flight journeys Al; I'm certain they will for mine.
@@Huddison Thank you Huddison For me it was not really a money thing...It was just I found Navigraph cumbersome and on the Cessna 310 it never followed their route.. Getting the London Tube station type Sids to connect to the route was for me a chore and frustrating at times -as I just wanted to get on with Vatsim. I have donated to Chartfox so will try it out if I find it falls short of Navigraph I can always re do the payment.
I'll try it. The Navigraph subscription cost is ludicrous for anyone who lives in a third world country lol

I've just started using chartfox and it's very good, however it doesn't support every airport.....yet.

@@Huddison I agree with David.Many Canadian airports are not included.No surprise as Canada is excluded in regards to getting upgraded in the sim.My airport in London Ontario (Cyxu), a city of 400,00, is not represented n Chartfox. Disappointed.
Hopefully these will come soon. It's quite a small team running Chartfox I believe.
@@Huddison Ok but the larger airports like Cyyz in Toronto and cyow in Ottawa now have charts where as they didn’t a month ago.So I suspect you are correct. Thanks for replying.

It looks nice and clear. However I prefer Navigraph. Also because I do not want to fly online. So I don't have a vatsim sub.
Fair enough Patrick. I also enjoyed Navigraph, but good there are alternatives, for those who prefer not to pay a monthly subscription.
I do not think that you HAVE to fly online to use either ChartFox or LittleNavmap. In fact, I'm certain of it with ChartFox. I created a Vatsim account to use ChartFox even though (like you) I have zero interest in flying online. Not sure about Little Navmap, though....I just now learned about it thanks to Huddison's vid here!

What about updating the Airac cycles like what navigraph does?
That's not something I have seen as an option in Chartfox.

@@jamespimenta4257 It doesn't bother me as yet, but I mainly only use Chartfox for Airport Taxi way & stand info.
You could try the combination you mentioned and see how it works out for you.

@@Huddison I'm guessing this will deal with non-UK charts. I only ever fly GA or UK commercial domestic so wasn't thinking globally. Unless there's something else I'm missing? Great videos, by the way.
@@Vonobox1 One good thing about Chartfox is that simply by typing in an ICAO code, all the charts are right there at your finger tips.
It's a small enterprise, so not every single airport is covered (I believe), but I find it quite impressive.
Does the airac update?

@@Huddison hi 👋. Thanks for the great video. I’m definitely going to use this combination. In the video you show that CF and LNM can be integrated, but not how that is done. Is it a layer that shows up as soon as CF is open? Will LNM autodetect CF? Thanks.
@@ghostlyfriend2526 They can't be integrated directly with each other: Chartfox lets you look at static charts, with or without Littlenavmap; LNM enables you to flight plan or use it as a navigational moving map.
Perhaps I should said ' they can be used in combination with each other' to clarify.

Mine doesn't look like yours with the colored charts, I just get the standard black and white diagrams.

I believe that's dependant on the chart provider, not the program itself.

i don't like the charts from chartfox... the charts are from ice age 1, there's no charts, and the sids and stars never align with the ones from simbrief...
Navigraph really is the most accurate for charts.
