    OP should make sure the e in laws know that Jessie is why the wife grew suspicious and irrationals, contributed to leaving the daughter alone, and is largely responsible for the daughter’s death.
    If they insist, he should make sure he speaks after Jessie, and if she says anything blaming, or maybe no matter what, let everyone know what Jessie has done.

    OP's wife and Jesse were having an affair. She said, "You are not the only one that love your wife." They left the baby alone because they were having intimacy. OP is better off without his wife.

    That's what's wrong with society today. This lady ruins marriage & dies by listening to a single mother (Who probably never been married) for advice.

    I'm so sick and tired of people using "mental health" as an excuse to hide behind, when engaging in disparaging, disrespectful, and outright abusive behavior.

    this is the problem with modern society, it's skewed the roles of men and women. If this story is true then, while his wife is undoubtedly at fault, he is also equally at fault too. He's a great father, and provider but there is no sense of authority, guidance, leadership from him, It is his job to lead his wife and cut off these external issues with don't positively contribute to their marriage. Western society has failed, it's produced Weak men and even Weaker women.

      What could he have done differently?

    • @OYMJL
      @OYMJL 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@northernirishasmr4481 He should have set boundaries very clearly with his wife right from the start, ie whatever marital issues, or problems with trust, it should be discussed solely within the family unit. Never to discuss or talk about their private issues with other people, regardless of whether it's a "best" friend. At the end of the day, the man is the leader of the household he has a degree of authority because he is accountable for providing, sustaining, and protecting his family. There's much more that could be said beyond the scope of a comment as it requires an entire paradigm shift to appreciate just how much work needs to be done.

      At the end of the day, we live in a system that doesn't let us force the issue. We live in a society that forces us to take the risk that our partner will allow external threats into our situation and there's little we can do about it without someone getting hurt.
