OK so just gonna put in a pinned comment cos have lots of questions in the comments: 1. Price for all the baked goods: £9.00! FOR ALL OF THAT 2. Jewellery is all form 'hey harper' found it on an insta ad and I am really enjoying, would recommend! quite pricey but nice quality ooxoxoxoxoxoxo
As a German, it's really fun to see how different and also similar some of this stuff looks. The chocolate croissant for example looks exactly the same here. As for the jelly "donut" with the powdered sugar on top: it's not supposed to be a donut that's why the texture is so different. It's actually a "Berliner", a German donut-like thing which is also fried but it is a different dough than donuts. Now I'm really craving one though so I might go to my Lidl down the road.
🤣 this is what i wanted to write down about the doughnut with icing sugar ( Berliner) and on New year you get a bunch of them and one is filled with mustard ... Grüße an dich
As someone who used to actually bake the stuff at Lidl, the amount of croissants I baked on Christmas Eve 2017 was unholy. As in, I'd bake about 120 at a time (with one working oven because they were temperamental), and they were gone in less than 5 mins. Never in my life had I seen such carnage... Ahh, good times...
People swarm our bakery every morning like vultures or piranhas on a fresh carcass. On a typical weekend day I usually have to bake 350-450 croissants just to survive the first hour of the store opening. Then in the afternoon, its hordes of Romanian families coming in swooping up 6 - 7 baguettes and 10-15 demi baguettes each. They vanish almost as quickly as you can bake them using all 3 ovens.
There’s a lot of difference in quality between Lidl stores. Even the same store can mess up a batch from time to time. I go to Lidl for their protein bars after the gym and always buy a few pastries. I’ve had pretty crap batches. But it’s pretty good overall.
We always go to Lidl for grocery shopping, and their bakery items are so good! I’m from the Netherlands, and often visit Lidl in the OG country, Germany, and that is literally the best EVER. Edit; Yes, we do have Lidl over here in the Netherlands too, it’s just alot different from the OG Lidl in Germany.
@@Grackle The bakery at Lidl Germany, is so amazing, you just smell the fresh bread and baked goods when you only enter the store. 🤤 They also have the best meats and booze in Germany, alot for just a few €’s. And the best thing? I’m moving to a city that’s only a 15 minute drive to the closest Lidl in Germany. 💖
from someone who (used) to work at lidl! they don't clean the trays at the end of the day the only thing we do is brush all the crumbs off, we only wash the tonsils you use so if you have any serious allergy's PLEASE do not eat anything from the bakery, you may run the risk of an allergic reaction !!!
the pesto goat cheese & tomato foccacia is my FAVOURITE!!! It's always a must for me when I go to Lidl! I try not to cry when they sell out of them though haha x
i work in lidil, and when you have an early morning shift the smell from the bakery is the best thing ever!! 😍😍 ps they store everything in the freezer, so think you’ll be okay with freezing them.
love lidl, love your vids: thank you very much, you have no idea how much this cheers me up ps: the gold hoops really suit you!!!! their savory bakeries taste even better after they've been heated up in the oven and, special tip, I add a little honey on the goat cheese kinda toast
Your dad is awesome. When he said that your mom is a good girl, the love in his eyes for her was just the sweetest. He's fun to see interact with you Grace. Sweet moments. Thanks for sharing!

I find depending on the time of day you get the jammie Doughnuts depends on if they are dry or not. Love the Toffee yum yum and the chocolate Hazel nut doughnuts
I love that you froze the baked goods. I learned from my mom actually to cut our donuts into halves or quarters, eat a piece and freeze the rest for the next day or whenever. It's great! :)
I haven't even started to watch this but I'm so looking forward to your reactions because I love Lidl bakery - their rye sourdough is so good and everything is so cheap!!
we got a Lidl near our house last summer and I love the bakery! although I admittedly have only had a couple things, but they've both been delicious - the chocolate vanilla twist is my favorite and the basic butter croissant was v nice too.
You and Papa Booth are simply the best! You always make me laugh and you have so much fun together doing the simplest things! LOVE ❤ these videos Grackle. Cheers from Canada
the best thing is the lidl all butter coissant then you put slices of smoked salmon and emmental cheese in it and put it in the oven for a few mins so it melts ,im telling you its so good omgmgmgmg!!!!
Focaccia in Italian sounds about like fo-caught-cha. Love that papa Booth came when he heard Pastries! Definitely already have notifications turned on!
Hot tip, with the pastries (croissants, pain au raisin etc) whack them in the oven for like 5 mins on a medium heat to crisp them up and then they get even better
I love the cinnamon scrolls from lidl. I went through a phase with the pretzels too, I was definitely addicted. Also the croissants are my fave out of any supermarket. I think you just had an unlucky day.
Lidl bakery is incredible, streets ahead of the other supermarkets. My favourites: SWEET: Brownie, Cookie, Chocolate Muffin SAVOURY: Pretzel, Goat Cheese Foccacia, Mini baguette
I lived here in Germany almost 4 years before I ate a pretzel. Now I can't get enough of buttered ones. Try it. It's addictive, especially with a cuppa
Lidl is the only supermarket I know that has good bakery goods of all the other supermarkets... I love the "rustic" bread, these dark Bavarian buns with "cross" on them and Finnish oat flat bread. Oh, and the pretzels of course! I haven't tried anything sweet because there's nothing vegan there, but I'm so happy others enjoy the sweet pastries. 😌 👌
I worked in a Bakery. Use the left over 6ummies and make Danish pudding." Yes mix all of the goods together it's different every time real yummy if you have some rasberry or apricots Danish added to the mix. 😋 sweet but not to sweet. Sunshine from Cali
I had to move back to Australia last year from Edinburgh and lemme tell you I miss the Lidl bakery. A warm goats cheese tomato pesto focaccia to start the day? Nothing better.
