i'm actually watching this video to take a break of a 'trying to sort my life out and thinking about what went wrong the last weeks and why i am so unsatisfied with myself'-thinking session. thinking about life can make me so anxious but your videos kinda help me to feel less alone and overwhelmed :)

    Top 5 signs you’re a Grack-Head:
    1. You plan your Mondays and Thursdays (obviously your favourite days) based on Greenwich Time.
    2. You like porridge and coffee but pretend not to out of solidarity.
    3. Liverpool isn’t your favourite team but you cheer for them in the name of Papa Booth.
    4. You say, “peace out, Punks” to your friends instead of “bye.”
    5. Every time you watch Friends, The Bake-Off, or a romcom, you only think of one person!

I actually think that if you dyed your hair the colour of your natural highlights it could really suit you. And as you said, you only live once, and honestly the early twenties is the perfect age to dye your hair - and you can get a nice conditioner to keep it healthy (and maybe invest in some collagen? idk though) So I'd say go for it! Why the heckity heck not?

Hi Grace! Re vitamins question: While supplements can help increase your vitamin/nutrient levels, it's always best to prioritise getting what your body needs from your diet. This is because food offers a whole range of benefits that supplements simply can't. Hope that helps :)

Vitamins only help if you're actually deficient in something specific. I get chronic migraines & take a prescription medication which is known for blocking vitamin B absorption, when I was pregnant I had to have mega dose folic acid. I didn't realise for years but this was why my hair was really thin... so I started a supplement after my baby was born, & my hair got a lot better.

@@maneskinnnnn7190 if you take a vitamin supplement you don't need, at best you're making very expensive urine. Yes! Dye it blonde! I'm a natural 'golden blonde', but it is darkening with age. I'm from Sydney, so we're currently in lockdown, but when hairdressers open again, I am going to dye it platinum, because that's the colour of my lightest highlights (both natural and artificial, I got more added in on top of my natural highlights). If you regret it, the good thing about blonde hair is that it's an easy fix if you don't like it, because you can just die it back to brown

Hi Grace, if you are thinking of going blonde, I suggest getting blonde highlights first to see how you like it. I am also brunette and usually get natural blonde highlights from the sun in summer and I liked that so I decided to get highlights at the hairdresser, just a few at the front to see if it suited me. It was definitely strange at first and took some getting used to but I love it now and will probably get more highlights scattered through my hair to look blonder without going totally blonde at once! :)

It depends on the brand of vitamin. That's why looking for 3rd party testing is important. It means it was tested by an unasociated group and found to be high quality. My family is chronically short in many things because of gut damage due to celiac. So I have to take a lot of supplements to stay healthy even with an optimized diet.

It is recommended that all menstruating women take iron supplements. I ended up with horrendously low ferritin levels and my hair falling out even though I ate a balanced diet, because my periods are heavy. I believe zinc, iron, magnesium and vit D are the four that people are likely to be low or deficient in even with a balanced diet.

Also for hair I recommend Mane and Tail, it's a brand of shampoo nd conditioner developed for show horses and their claim to fame is that its effective and safe for people as well. I have a perfume allergy so it's perfect for me because the scent they put in is formulated to not irritate an animal with a much more sensitive nose. But it also makes my hair softer and shinier than any other shampoo I've ever tried.
I should clarify though if your hair is straight and frizzy what's most likely happening is your washing it too much. Scalp oil is supposed to condition and nourish your hair. Over washing, or overconditioning like with the curly girl method can both mess with natural oil production. Training your hair to behave without washing so often is likely the best route for you. I can give more details on how to do this if anyone's interested.

do you use silicone in your hair? it's great for combating frizz for straight hair AND for some people with wavy/curly hair. i have curly-ish hair and i use silicone when it's rainy out to try and keep the frizz away. plus it makes your hair shiny! also, lots of people say that frizzy hair (assuming your hair isn't super damaged or processed) needs more moisture, so you could try adding something like a leave in conditioner or something to your routine.

Dye your hair blonde! Trust me do it! I'm a natural brunette too (just lighter with more natural blonde in it) and I love my hair colour but decided to get some blonde balayage (that started further down so didn't go to my roots)...it was the best decision because now I'm growing it out to my natural colour again and there we go, I can have a fun time being blonde (which i love!!!) but it grows out naturally so that I can chop it off and have my natural healthy brown all over again! Hair grows so have fun with it you're only alive once! I might get my hair dyed again in the future and might go even more blonde, might not... who knows? But the fact is if you want to go for it then do it, you won't loose you're natural locks, they'll just be there waiting for you haha!
(sorry such a speech about hair I just know how much on an identity crisis it can be taking the leap to dye it when you never have before :)

For hair recommendations, I really like the hydration line from The Green Beaver Company.
Also if you’re contemplating getting your hair dyed, go to a reputable professional (it will be expensive but it pays to go to someone who will do it right) and I would recommend to try a blonde balayage.

I know you love The Body Shop, and I'm wondering if you have ever tried their Banana shampoo and conditionner? I think I may have similar hair to yours, and they made my hair super soft! If you decide to try the combo, just make sure to remove the conditionner really well, or else it may leave your hair greasy :/ but after a little bit you get the hang of it. My hair has never been so soft, and I feel like the frizzes have gotten better/less frizzy!
Love your videos, you're awesome xx

Heh, I take after my father in the sense that even while browsing a store a rarely take more than 30 minutes while my mother is like you. I always hated going to the store with her as a child because I was to well behaves to wreck the toy aisle so I was bored out of my mind. Half the time I would clean and organize shelves out of boredom. I still wonder if I was actually helpful to the employees at all. 😆

if you wanted to go blonde, i’d suggest getting some blonde highlights. you can have a lighter shade an even lighter one and one your shade but slightly different tone. it will give you that summer hair without being too extreme or hurting your hair. also make sure if you get it done you pay for smart bond or olaplex as this will help with the condition of your hair. afterwards you will want to use moisturising and protein rich products (if you can find a kerastase salon near you, they are the best products). then if you want to go lighter you can with highlights and if you don’t, then it’s not too extreme

i recommend l'oreal rebalancing clay shampoo! i use a small amount every 2-3 days and it keeps my hair from being flat and greasy, but also doesnt make it too dry and frizzy
