Somehow the clip where I say I harvest them in bud form, right into flower food, and they last 7-10 days for me is missing🤷♀️! They’re amazing! 🥰
Harvest in bud? That’s pretty much one day to harvest
Thanks for that extra "bonus" tip! ;)
@@TheLinrose88 closed bud form, goose neck - after the outer casing opens and they soften.
@@FlowerHillFarm thanks for that, I get it now!
Good to know!!
Oh my goodness. I’m from California and our daffodils are up. I laughed so hard at your comment. I really needed that laugh. Thanks. 💐
Glad you enjoyed!
Same!
I'm in the PNW and sent my mom a very exciting picture of about 2" of daffodil leaves coming up and she replied with a picture of a pot full of daffis in all their glory. She too is in Cali! Cruel, but gorgeous!
Daffodils and sunflowers are my favorite. They just seem to make me feel happy when I see them.
Absolutely!
You must love yellow!!! I found a 4" double Zinnia called Canary yellow, just to let you know. I found it at Walmart too, so if you wanted summer yellow you can easily find the seeds! :) My Mom is a nut over yellow, so I decided to mass plant the yellow Zinnias for her this year. Have a great night!
I wait with bated breath for your videos. They never disappoint me 💜💐🌺🌻💜
You're the best!
White Lion....serious throwback! Gorgeous daff!
It's so nice to have a garden show for zone 4! (NW Wisconsin)
I agree! I'm in zone 4-Wyoming
Agree! (Central MN)
I agree. Zone 4a North Dakota!!
I agree. Zone 4a VT here😊
Got La Belle Epoch too! Woohoo! And yes I graduated in 1989 with big 80’s hair, so loved the White Lion throwback clip 🤘😂
Such a beautiful flower, now I'm really looking forward to them coming out in my garden
Thank you so much, Alexandra! I was just watching your April Garden Tour video from last year and the fruit blooms also have me so excited for blooms to come! I'm so glad you're here.
Daffodils have always been my favorite flower. They are my "comfort food " of flowers always taking me back to picking them in my grandmother's garden .
Swooning fan girl here over these new varieties! 🥰
Yay! Me too!
A host of golden daffodils ;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breez.💛

I love daffodils 💛💛💛 thanks for sharing this🧡💛🧡💛
I’m so happy!!! I planted hundreds last fall into winter!
That is going to be beautiful!
Beautiful selections. Winston churchill is my husband's favorite and Tahiti is mine. Both have the most amazing scent.
I have what must be at least 2000 or more daffodils throughout my yard, mostly in the front - & I've noticed when they're in bloom, a fair amount of traffic stops when going by to do the gazing thing. Daf's are spring's most electrifying harbinger - and so beautiful, care free, and consistent, I can't thing of anyone who's garden wouldn't be improved by their presence.
Hi, great video. Yes, those appear to be Flower Drift. Ours look exactly like them. Even the green petals. We pull our daffodil stems rather than cutting them, for longer stems. About 2 more weeks for bloom.☺️
Hi guys! I also pull mine. I learned that after cutting the first few hundred. It's actually super satisfying pulling them and watching more stem length come up from under the earth! Good to know about the Flower Drift-- they are so awesome looking. I really enjoy the green petals!
Daffodils are how I came to know you. 💐💐💐. I missed the churchills last year, but I'm looking forward to them this year.
I love daffodils too! I just ordered a crap ton for this coming fall. After watching this I may need to get a few more...
Sometimes you just can't help it!
@@FlowerHillFarm yes, your videos are very hard on the budget! 💐🌷🌹🌻🌼🌸🌺🥀
Love the reliability and deer resistance of a good daff- such a herald of Spring!
Yes!!! I'm so excited about that! I'm actually going to mass plant them at the very front of my property, just because I don't have to worry! Gotta love that about Daffodils!
I'm from California and my daffodils are full of flowers, I will be planting more because of you.
I cannot wait to see these varieties bloom! Great choices!! 💐☺️
I can’t plant Tulips in Alabama it doesn’t get cold enough ( not this year) but I live in the country and deer savage my yard. So I plant 100 Daffodils every year. I love them. Last week we had an ice storm and snow. Been 5-8 years since it has gotten this cold. My daffodils were blooming with the ice and snow.
Hi Nicole.....stay warm. I know you love frolicking in the snow...
You are so funny and energetic and informative ! Always eagerly look forward to your videos ❤️🌷
Im watching your subbies growing up...you deserve it.
Thank you so much!!
I planted ‘Replete’ ‘WhiteLion’ and maybe 1000 ‘Pink Charm’ last fall. Replete was a whim buy and White Lion was a little hard to find but I got some. Excited!
Where did you buy them?
@@pang-ngiavang1956 I think most of them came from Colorblends.
I need Replete now to make my life complete! I have 200 White Lion coming already, cannot. wait.
Lol!! You said White Lion and that song popped into my head...and then you PLAYED it!!! 😱😱💗
Ugh I love my replete daffodils ❤ I have them planted with some sky blue hyacinths (forget the variety) and they look fantastic!
Wow! Ive only seen purple, pink and white Hyacinths! I'll definitely be on the hunt for the blue kind, there's too few blue flowers for me, so this is great news! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for capturing your passion about flowers and cut flower farming. I have watched all of your videos. I started arranging flowers a little over a year ago and have fallen in love with it and now I am loving dreaming about becoming a cut flower farmer.
Of course that’s a floret photo! Beautiful and distinctive!
A double bloomer (rebloom). 🤯
I NEED that one in my future! Thanks for sharing!❤️
😝 I have daffodils just opening (uk) and loads popping up. I should have months of them❤️ after two months of minus temperatures I was giddy walking around with he garden yesterday..flowers are coming.
White Lion reference 🤣🤣 love an 80’s hair band! I did plant these though, can’t wait for them to come 🆙
Hello from Belgium. I have planted daffodils ten years ago. Every year, I have more and more beautiful flowers. I have Carlton, Jack Snipe, Fortissimo, Orangery, Flower Record, Rip Van Winkle, and my favorite Tahiti. I plan to assemble a collection. Thank you for your video.
I just picked up Mt Hood, Tahiti and a mix of bulbs. I also picked up some tulips. I have many more on order. I am just a home gardener, but since I have been working home for 15 months, I got out there and have been enjoying my garden more. Thanks for your great videos.
Daffodils are my favorite flower! Always had been. Lilacs are my 2 nd. I have new daffodils coming up this spring and am so ecited! Cover this old lady in daffodils
Always enjoy your videos! I have over 100 daffodils under a foot of snow here in NJ. Went with a lot of doubles and split cups this year...most in the 'coral' family. Also dug up and separated existing bulbs that were creating more foliage than bloom - fingers crossed that I didn't kill them.
Daffodils are my favorite spring flower! They always remind me of my Granny 😊❤️
I was battling an illness last year an my Wonderful hubby knows how daffodils are so to me in memory of my Father and here in Michigan as you can relate we have snow on top of them some years . Well last year he went out an dug around the patio's we have my father's bulbs planted at an yep it was a Stand a cry at the 2nd floor bedroom window moment. Needless to say this spring will / is so much better an looking forward to making that a traditional way to start our spring .
That's amazing Daisy. Very special.
Loved the 80’s hairbands. 😍😂
I absolutely love your enthusiasm, it’s infectious. This is the start of my forth year gardening and so far I’ve been focussed on the veggies. I think this year will be the year of the flowers. I’m just a little gutted I didn’t catch on early enough to plant spring bulbs.
Daffodils are my favorite flower, they smell so good and bloom around my birthday! I love this video :) I planted to many double daffodils this fall
Oh, you are so funny 😂. I have already got my daffodils out, manly just leaves except Tet-a-tets there a few buds. But the first blooms are crocuses and irises. Tulips and hyacinths are showing as well. It is a very exiting time after boring winter. I wish you all the best and it looks like you are going to enjoy of a lot of daffodils this year and years to come. Big hug 🤗
Wow, you make me want to plant more varieties of daffodils ASAP!! We have a lot of snow here in Western Massachusetts as well. I’m dreaming of spring and absolutely loved seeing all your new daffodils 🥰
I was so excited placing orders this morning it made me forget all about all the hard work that lies in store!
@@FlowerHillFarm how do you plan out the differing blooms stages to make sure ya have enough for the daf subscriptions?
Ooohhh, there are some very lovely blooms in that lineup!
I think so too!
You have the best laugh!
Thank you!
I love your word play. You crack me up. I also love daffodils!!! Waiting impatiently in KY
Daffodils are the BEST!! I'm not a flower farmer yet lol... However I'm Eagerly waiting for Spring 🌿💐💜 I planted 100 different varieties of Daffodils in my yard and in pots! Love your channel! Thank you!
Omg I’m obsessed with Replete and the last pink one! I just love the peachy color as well. I’m growing those this year too.
Dafs are my MOST favorite early Spring blooming bulb flower!! The smell is intoxicating! Some of my early ones just opened 2 days ago here in Northern Indiana, & it's the last week of March now. I have Replete (loooooovvvve!) and like you, got many of the same ones in those "bundle" bags from Walmart, that proved to be totally worth it! Now you got me thinking I need some Winston Churchill in my life.
You certainly do!
I can't wait to see your daffodils!
Been growing white lion for many years you'll love it! Try my two favorites Salome and Barrett Browning their both fantastic looking great multipliers.
Shhhh Barrett Browning is on my order list for next year LOL!
Lol, and here I was going to say thank you for the ideas! Ha, Nicole you crack me up! But I would be the same way, gotta have some surprises for next year! I won't tell! ;)
Thanks for a fun video full of spring dreams! I'm interested in seeing how the various varieties naturalize. I haven't had much success with some of double varieties you mentioned repeat blooming and multiplying, in year two and three, in the way many other daffodils do. An update on your rows from last year's stock would make a great video this spring!
I had some Churchills at my old house-- they came back and multiplied every year for the ten years we were there. I'm looking forward to documenting the progress here!
I’m from California too! Love love your channel. I’m ordering my daffodils now. Thanks for all your advice
So HAPPY to have found you !! I’m close ,in Buffalo NY, my cut flower garden is about 3 yrs old now, can’t wait for spring!! I’ve learned so much from your channel 🙂🌻🌸🌺🌼🥀💐
Didnt know there were so many varieties. I added the white and apricot and white and pink ones last fall! Cant wait to see them. I love daffodils too they are beautiful in mass!
Wow I had no idea daffodils could come in so many variations, very fun!!!!
Love the video! I actually planted tulips and daffodils last year specifically for cut flowers. Floret man! Anyhow I never really cared for daffodils, but I have to say I think I loved them more then most of my tulips!! There varieties were incredible. Additionally I have family in your area and was actually born up there. Thanks for sharing 😍
I love dafffy's too! You're torturing us!
I tried layering/lasagne bulbs last fall, we will see!
I want to see how that turns out!
@@shaundaflips2482 will do!
You are so right on that! Daffodils are such pretty cut spring flowers for arrangements, I only started last year but this year I’ve doubled my daffodil bulbs and they’re striking. Starting with my Tête-à-tête Daffodils that just finished blooming 😍 to my soon to bloom mid spring giant trumpet daffodils and I can’t wait! Greetings from Warm California. Can’t wait to see your garden in spring 🙏🏼
First year growing daffodils and I planted the replete variety ! So excited !!!!!🌱
I love the varieties you picked! Ednie Gloeckner is near me in New Joisey 🤣
LOL love it!
My new favs are the split cup narcissus! 💕💕💕
When I started my flower journey the first thing I wanted to make sure I had this year was specialty daffs. I currently only have 70 because I had no in ground space for them but I'm trying to force them in fabric bags in the shed. I bought all the apricots doubles I could get my hands on here in Canada 😂 Loved this video!
I'm not a daffy girl, but might have to give them a rethink...darn you, 😂. I am sinking into future debt.
Future debt is the worst!
I thought I was the only one that carried around wax melts in my pocket lol!!! I was so excited to here you do to!! It is the best thing to put me in a good mood!!! Yankee lemon lavender is sooo great!! Sassy girl aroma sells wax and she has a great fall scent called fall yoga pants by the fireside!!! Destination wax has the best authentic scents out there!!
those mystery bulbs are lovely!!
I loved your video thank you, daffodils feel like the true start to a new year and fresh beginnings! Loved the golden orange Color selections in the middle cups too. And pale yellows look delicious. A local collector near us sells small grade mixes which you can buy in bulk very cheaply if perhaps home gardeners are looking to bulk up their stock and don’t mind waiting a year or 2 to get lots of blooms. Looking forward to seeing what pops up since the owner collects heritage varieties.
Ahhh, I just watched this video twice, once all calm and collected, then as soon as I could grab pen and paper I watched it again, taking fast copious notes!!! I can't believe you put your order in today! I have so much to learn! I have to get my LLC, and efn tax number stat to get some wholesale bulbs! I'm not on the "Ball" as it were!!! Thanks Nicole, I appreciate your advice so much!!!...now to quickly rewatch Ranunculus videos by you lol! ;) Glad it's a Friday night, ha! Thanks again, the Daffodils are strikingly beautiful, I too am a lover of all flowers Spring, they just get me soo excited! :)
Hi! I have to say, I didn't like daffodils before I wached your video. Now I'm like- have to get some! Thank you for all the tips aboute them, didn't know all that. Love your videos!
Love daffodils too! Did you keep a garden journal of bloom dates? Curious about dates for the first varieties to bloom vs dates for Sir Winston Churchill bloom date. Just wondering how long we can stretch out a “daffodil season” .
I keep photos! They bloomed from mid-April through the end of May.
@@FlowerHillFarm Thanks!
so happy to see you
This video gives me life! Love Love Love💐
Love love daffodils lol am under four feet of snow lol but I know my daffodils are under there waiting to perform
Your thoughts on narcissus poeticus/pheasant's eye? I absolutely adore it, which could be a result of a) nostalgia, b) stubbornness since they are not very common anymore and/or here. I grew up calling only these "narcissus" and anything with a pronounced trumpet would be a "jaunquil". I guess regardless of color :-) but they were all yellow, anyway. I used to prefer tulips over daffodils, except for the poeticus "narcissus", but after moving to the US and when I started growing things I went nuts over daffodils! Doubles! Pinks! So many pretty colors and so many are fragrant! But still I got ecstatic when I found some poeticus locally last fall. In a " blend" with hyacinths. Sure, whatever, I'll take it ;) Can't wait for them to bloom. We've had a very dry winter (after a drought year) - in a way I envy you those 2 ft of snow. So when we finally got a few inches of snow on Wed I was carrying snow off my driveway on my bulb beds, roses and peonies ;-) Some of the tulips and crocus leaf tips have started to peak out just before (zone 7 here) but I haven't seen anything daffodil-like yet so I'm a little worried...
Go daffs!
PS. Just found your channel recently, but I love it. Good luck with the plants and the business!
I love it!
So beautiful
I can’t wait for mine!
Hi Nicole, I'm just planting my daffodils so checked out this video, thanks! However my question is about your perennials in the field at 3:11 in the video. Do you have a video on them?
I’ve had awesome success with Van Engelen! Not sure what you might think about the price point...but, they are definitely whole sale. Huge bulbs and selection. 😊
I do get their catalogs!
Ummm so when is the video for next years bulbs coming? I don’t want to wait till next year and I hope you show us all your gorgeous blooms! Also I have daffodils and tulips and some crocuses because you made me! Lol 😂
LOL I figure later in the year!
"And if you're in California and you're daffodils are already up, than I don't care." lololol - That's how I feel! I'm near Ithaca, NY and our last frost date is not until May 15th.
Thank you for this video! Who did you place your bulb order through for next year? After seeing your ranunculus video I’d like to give them a try. :)
Ball and Leo Berbee!
Great video! I didn't plant any daffodils last fall because the ones I ordered didn't ship because they were out of stock at Johnny's. ☹️ Love your sweater! Looks super soft and warm.
Adding to the Daffodil Garden this year :o)
Hoping Jake throws more up in the group cause I have missed out on the first few!!
I loved this video. We have lived in our home for almost 4 years, and just today I noticed a large patch of white daffodils, Poet's Narcissus I believe the plant ID was. We live on a couple of acres and now i want to go see what else I might find lol I also want to dig them up to plant elsewhere, so I'm guessing that I should wait? 😬
Yes, mark them and wait for the foliage to die back. Dig them up and move them this fall!
Narcissus, Daffs , muscari blooming here in Napa County.
Thank you sooo much
Thank you, SPRIIIIIIIIING!!!!
Nicole! I absolutely love your videos and your farm! I have a question, when I get my Dahlia tubers in April should I start them in pots and then transplant or plant them directly into my soil?
You can do either! Wait until the soil is about 50 degrees before planting outside.
@@FlowerHillFarm great! Thank you so much 💞💞💞
Your flowers look amazing! where is the best places to get your bulbs any suggestions please.
@flowerhillfarm what container do you put your daffodils in when delivering to someone’s door? I just found your channel today and feel so inspired by you!
My customers were instructed to leave containers with water by their door. I just slipped the flowers in.
You make be laugh... okay, you crack me up !!
I live where the daffodils are so many varieties on the side of the road. They multiply like crazy.
That's awesome!
Lol @ the California comment... I'm in California (zone 9b) & my daffodils have been blooming for a couple weeks already, the jetfire just opened a couple days ago. My narcissus have been in bloom continuously since November.
November!!!! Sigh....
Love your videos!!! I missed the name of the beautiful tulip you mentioned for next year. ⚘
La Belle Epoque~
I have Lizzy baby this morning
Yay, me too, today!
Thanks!! Love it!!!
I missed Sunday cut off I hope you open this sale again! So sad..
