Yeah some of what you said is true but some is simply historically inaccurate. The spread of Christianity in the Americas certainly wasn't peaceful but neither was islam across West Asia and especially in the Indian subcontinent. Many indian scholars and historians who aren't even hindu knew of the massacres and persecutions they endured under the various islamic caliphates and empires throughout the centuries. This isn't to even mention how the slave trade across East Africa and Asia spread even more during the rise of islam. Do I even need to mention how the zoroastrians were wiped out? This your issue, i understand you're from Canada and of course you're gonna focus on Canada but to ignore centuries of history of other regions is an insult to the people who suffered during these invasions and conflicts.
I have studied Islamic history as well and the two cannot be compared at all. My thesis covers the stark differences and effects on family structure and culture. Christianity spread in the America's? I am talking about Europe.
