I've always wondered why some Gotham City cop never took the Joker somewhere away from prying eyes, and just shot him under the pretext of "He was going for my gun!"
@@treyriver5676 Yup. Literally mentioned in Epic Rap Battles of History. "In my first appearance, the Bat was supposed to slay me/but I can't be killed/that's they got a Phoenix to play me"
In comics the police always seem so inept. Plot armor protects the joker just like Batman. The way to kill joker is make him wear a red uniform, Star Trek the Next Generation fans will get that reference.
Batman: I need to report a crime Gordon: What's the crime? Batman: I killed the Joker after he tried to kill Superman's wife and his unborn child. Gordon: So, what's the crime?
Batman: I killed a man Gordon! Gordon: Well that man killed millions and maimed so many my daughter included. He has been giving you the tough glove for so long I think I wouldn’t want to feel empathy for that bastard
@@KhanhNguyen-mh5ec Batman: If you don't goddamn arrest me then i'm gonna kill myself Gordon! Gordon: Alright! Alright! Chill man, damn hero nowaday with their moral code
It's kinda crazy to think that if superman kills joker we get injustice which is bad but manageable. But if batman kills joker we get the batman who laughs which is infinitely worse
This may be one of the few times killing the Joker doesn’t end in him “winning”. Sure, Joker’s always wanted to get Batman to kill, but the point of getting him to kill was to corrupt Batman. To make Batman indirectly admit his moral code was wrong. Batman goes on to turn himself in and refuses to leave prison early. He truly accepts the consequences of his actions, which is Batman’s way of saying “what I did was wrong”. His moral code remains intact despite his earlier breach of it by treating what he did as a serious breach. This is the timeline where Batman truly defeats the Joker. He saves both his and Superman’s moral codes and the point Joker was trying to make by getting Batman to kill never got made.
Also, lets be honest, Joker wanted his death to be long and drawn out, looking Bats in the eyes the whole time so he could savor every last moment of "victory." Sudden neck snap when he's not expecting it, especially after the day was saved, is... NOT how he would have envisioned it.
@@ethanhayes7205 Basically in this timeline he died for nothing. And the worst part of all is that in the end Joker will go down history as another maniac whose only goal was just to he an A-Hole. I know joker doesn't care that much for fame unless he wants a lot of people wacth his attrocities, but the main point is, Joker din't even get the satisfaction of going down in blaze of painfull and slow "glory". I mean, what is the worst way a villian can loose? By not only failing but also being forgoten in the end.
Agreed. It even conquers one of Batman's worst fears - that the moment he starts killing, he won't stop. He did, and in fact accepted the consequences of his crime. In all honesty the Gotham PD would likely give him a light sentence, if any, considering he ended the long killing spree of their worst mass murderer. And if they didn't, the people of Gotham would absolutely pressure them to, because Batman is truly their hero now.
"A crime? It's not a crime to commit suicide. I can't believe the Joker broke his own neck and shot himself in the back of the head twice." "... He wasn't shot." "Give me a minute."
@@Tracker947 By that logic, they should have already arrested Batman because being a vigilante is a crime. The extenuating circumstances, and the Joker's looooooooooong criminal history, letting him go is more than justified.
because this is not real , it's dream superman had in his mind , of course he would want joker to be scared because in real life .. he laughed in his face as he took away his wife and his city away from him.
Every joker is laughing at the face of death not his death but the actual face of death, i can imagine him saying to death "hi, we haven't talk for a while now"
@@bluemenace04 probably not. He was trying to make a point about Batman not having a code just like him, but the way Batman killed him in this kinda proves him wrong. He goes for a quick death, doesn’t get jokerized, and turns himself in for breaking his own code.

Most versions of Harley want to get married to joker and have children with him, usually with their little family standing on top of the rest of the world Seeing him show such cruelty to a pregnant woman all for kicks probably soured that little fantasy and brought light to just how horrible Joker really is
Let's also not forget this was what would have been the start of Injustice. If I remember correctly, Harley had already begun to become disillusioned with the Joker. His death helped her put him in the past, and was even able to stay on the right side throughout the entirety of Injustice. (Mostly)

I mean… with the joker saying he was excited to torture an infant, nobody in their right mind would let someone like him who constantly escapes prison live after saying a sentence like that.
Yes, but Batman needed to set the point there. They aren’t above the law, they can’t be. Without the law, they become villains, just like those they fight (not in the ‘moral high ground’ stance, as in, they slowly then quickly fall as they break law after law. They need the rules to stay themselves. Instead of horrors they’d be disgusted to realize they became.)
There’s no “but” about it or “law” that can be attributed to torturing an infant. You should be tortured to death or die. That should be the law for anyone who’s excited to torture a newborn baby.

It did this is supermans dream where she lives and batman kills the joker instead of superman shoving his first through the jokers chest. Hes dreaming about a perfect world from his perspective where batman is on his new killing people is cool side and Lois lived.
There's something absolutely poetic about _how_ it happened too. Joker wanted a long, drawn out, final showdown, to try and break the Bat, and force him to admit he was wrong. Joker deserved a long, painful, drawn out death, _and getting it would have mean he'd won._ If Batman had driven him behind a shed somewhere and tortured him to death, it would have meant that Joker was right: That no one is unbreakable, that the world is dark and painful, and even the most upright, most adamant, are just that one day away from turning into savage animals. If Batman had given in and done everything he'd dreamt about doing to Joker, then The Bat would have been irrevocably stained. He didn't turn Joker in to Arkham all those times because it was "The Law", or to give Joker another chance, he did it because every time he _refused_ to give in to that, he kept his head above water, and beat Joker back a little bit. You can argue whether or not this murder was justified all day long, but the best part about it is that he did it quick, clean, merciful. Joker doesn't get his drawn out fight in the rain, he doesn't get to see Batman scream and strangle him. He barely gets to see anything: Bruce just does his best to come at it from a pure, pragmatic point of view. No pain, just quick, and it's done, and Bruce moves on to accepting the consequences of his actions. In a way, Bruce probably didn't even think of it as killing Joker in order to save Superman. He probably thought more along the lines of "I'm going to sacrifice my ideals and accept jail-time, for superman." Still, bet Dick and Barb are pissed.
Here's my two cents.. nobody, and I mean nobody is immune to torture unless you literally can't feel anything. He might think he's winning at first. But after the 6th day, 20th, months down the line? How long until he breaks and begs for death. I would be fantastic.
The one time the guy finally crossed that line he was always afraid he'd cross was not out of losing self control, but for a friend...and it was a damn dream.

Batman was sacrificed so that Superman may be maintained, and that's fine. Batman was a symptom of a crueler world whereas Superman always represented hope for a better one. Batman going against his own code, giving up his secret identity, turning himself in . . . . taking the fall so that Superman wouldn't. it feels right.
It actually really implies how much good of a friend Batman is and how he understands how human Superman is. He’s willing to break his code so that he can maintain his stability you should when goes and visits Batman and offers to break him out it shows how great friends they are. Everyone’s talking about how Batman finally did the right thing, but I’m still over here wondering what kind of f*cked-up prison system doesn’t give this guy the death penalty as soon as he’s arrested.
He's legally insane, as such they are not legally allowed to put him into a regular prison, which is why Arkham is the main place the joker and several others are locked up, this doesn't excuse someone just killing him, but legally the courts probably couldn't do much. That and the writers don't want him to die
Always thought that too cause if i recall right there was someone in real life was insane but the things he did were so horrific they gave him the death penalty anyways
@Bean King no he didn’t won anything,he was just a long lasted joke that had to die so is no surprise that at any moment a hero would get tired and get ride of him as the piece of trash that the joker really is. In fact,if a hero doesn’t break for killing the joker, the joker ain’t win nothing.
You know why I love this scenario? Because it gives a giant middle finger to all the contrived excuses Batman's writers have been coming up with regarding his refusal to kill Joker. Here, Batman doesn't care about proving himself to the Joker; he doesn't care about upholding the moral high ground and he doesn't go insane after breaking his one rule. Instead, he just kills the Joker to save a life and protect a friend without making a big song and dance about it. And then comes the best part: he takes responsibility for his actions by turning himself in because he believes that, no matter how justified it was, he still needs to be held accountable for taking a life, essentially proving through his actions that he's indeed a better man than his enemies. This is what a true hero is and it's everything we imagined Batman would be like if he actually was forced to take a life -- he would just do it and live with the consequences.
Exactly. I really just feel like people are stupidly black and white to find any excuse under the sun why Batman shouldn't kill. "He'd become a murderer! He'd be a hypocrite! He'd betray his parents!" ...Oh yeah, but allowing a sick torture evil clown to make countless children orphans because he keeps escaping and killing innocents IS NOT disrespectful to their memory? Also many cops kill criminals that endanger civilians, and I'm pretty sure they don't become serial killers because of it. So Bruce is the world's smartest man, but killing the biggest son of a bitch of the world would turn him evil?? Okay, enough, you just want the Joker alive to keep making stories with him. Or as I always say, Batman could and SHOULD fucking paralyze Joker for life so that he's permanently taken care of without breaking the no kill rule... but again, that's a huge no no because we gotta make more stories. That's the truth.
@@DeepEye1994 I can't argue with the practicality of what you're saying but I think Batman's stance on not killing has to do with the fact that he would not only stop at one kill. He would find more reasons (I think he would say "excuses") to keep on killing, thus becoming the very thing he fights against. Cheers!
Imagine how many emotions Gordon must be experiencing in that moment. Startled by the Batmobile speeding into a drift and screeching to a halt. Soon calmed as the door hisses and opens, only to be surprised by Batman's significantly different appearance. Drops his jaw and cigarette upon the realization that Gotham's richest man is also its greatest defender. An intense sensation of culture shock brought on by memories of anger and sadness caused by this secret. Snapping back to reality upon the confession of Bruce's crime, realizing that the Joker is dead in the car with a twisted neck. A tempting uplifted feeling for the end of the Joker's terror, swiftly ended by the sight of Batman having broken his own code, and the law, to put an end to his greatest rival. Remembering now that Bruce Wayne killed a killer in cold blood, but once again tempted by the idea that he still created a brighter future. The most notable factor in the better half of this detective's life and career was turned on its head in one fell swoop, and he spun through the entire emotional wheel in about 10 seconds' time.
And probably guilt to Bruce'parents since most media have Gordon comfort a young Bruce after their death, and now he have to place him as a criminal despite he prevent a terrorist who want chaos
Gordon knows he is Bruce but pretends otherwise. Gordon is an amazing detective in his own right, and Bruce can't spend THAT much time around someone like that without getting found out.
The Joker must have had a great time when Batman broke his neck, snapped neck doesn't kill you on spot, you can't hear, move or breath, you're slowly suffocating, but you are still alive, you can still see and think, I can't imagine how happy Joker was in his final moments, that he finally make Batman kill
Who cares if the joker is happy or upset, he's finally dead and won't torment anybody else ever again. That's all that really matters in this fake world of Batman.
I had a feeling Bruce would hand himself over after taking out Joker. But how long do you let a maniac live knowing he will only continue to try and kill for laughs? He probably did the Joker a favour and put him out of his misery.
I love this version of Harley Quinn the most. You can see from her expressions in the panels that she doesn’t agree with what joker did because to Harley she’s Joker’s Lois. To think joker would do this to hurt someone who’s close to his actual enemy kinda puts things into perspective for her considering he was already abusive.
Hearing him say that children’s screams were different was the breaking point. Bruce definitely did the right thing. I mean Joker’s always been fucked up but he was going to take it too far. EDIT: Every time someone replies to this comment I’m reminded of how stupid it is. I don’t even know how it got this many likes. Joker’s done way worse things than kill kids.
You could see Harleys face. Even she knew this had gone too far and that a line was crossed. Her past as a psychologist could see Clark's mindset. That was no longer Superman, but a vengeful, angry husband and father with superhuman abilities ready to do anything to protect his family. Joker was too insane to see or care Besides if Superman did lose his family it would have broken his mind. All these powers and you can't stop a simple human lunatic dressed as a clown from harming your family? People have mental breakdowns for far less. Example:Joker Batman saw the difference as well. Superman would have killed Joker in front of the League in an instant and there was nothing they would be able to stop him. If superman crossed the line it would be all over..The League, Superman, his family, and the vision of Superheroes in the eyes of the public. Too much to lose. Batman had to be the one to do it. He is the least squeaky clean. He has to be the fall guy and the example to them all if they ever killed that they forfeit everything like hero status, fame, respect, money, freedom, and become a simple criminal locked up in a prison alone and surrounded by your enemies fighting every day. In a way it was the most heroic act.
What pushed Batman past the breaking point was he knew Joker would do everything he said he would do. It's not if, but when. Batman knew Joker would escape Arkham again, and it would only be a matter of time before he tried to torture and kill Lois and her child and there was no guarantee he would be able to stop him in time. The only way of knowing for sure was to kill the Joker, and protect his best friend's happiness and family. So the World would still have their Superman.
U have 2 keep in mind tho that the joker’s goal in life was 2 make Batman break his moral code, by any means necessary. Joker couldn’t get Batman 2 do it because he had 2 much self-control, so he turned 2 Superman, who was much more human (psychologically, not physically) than Batman, and is thereby more prone 2 giving into emotion. So Joker gassed Superman, and planted the warhead in metropolis 2 destroy Clark from an emotional standpoint, and if he did that, then Superman would kill the Joker, and he would become a tyrant, which is exactly what happens in the injustice timeline. However, in this alternate timeline, Batman knows that the Joker will try this again 2 break Superman, because Joker knows he’s less emotionally stable than Batman, and Batman knows that he’s much more emotionally stable, so the only way 2 prevent Superman from breaking his moral code is 2 kill the Joker, but he will have killed a man doing that, which means he will have broken his moral code. For that, he decides 2 turn himself in, because if he doesn’t, it’ll become easier and easier 2 kill ppl, and then the Joker wins anyway, because he got Batman 2 break his moral code. This is the only timeline I know of in which Batman has truly won.

I think it was for Jason too. He only broke and did it when joker mentioned wanting to wait until supermans child was old enough to "scream" and suffer, the same way he made Jason scream and suffer. Bruce was downright pissed at joker for this. Him taunting him with the memories of Jason and his own childhood trauma compounded with the fact he was never going to stop coming for their children is what finally made him snap.

Joker truly doesn't work in a superhero world. Honestly, He should be dead by now either by the death penalty or a random cop killing him. I know he's profitable and I like him as a villain but they've been truly overexposing him these last few years.
In a way it does, you see society in our reality supplies human thought and human behavior, this means all actions of human kind are controlled for the benefit of a few. Classical Joker was trying to expose society for the multicultural slave organization it is, but he is up against “God like hero’s” who support it by saving it? In a way the comic breaks the 4th wall, you see we all know society enslaves and every citizen of the society seems to think something metaphysical about the “rulers”, “reptilian, immortal, magic” this goes hand in hand with supernatural or superhuman abilities; meaning the hero’s of the comic are just like the hero’s of our society such as a president or an organization of men. The comic builds the idea that the “Joker” type the conspiracy theorist, who tries to expose is actually evil, when in reality he is trying to show humanity through horrible acts mind you, the corruption of a system that obtained control of a species. I typically agree he doesn’t belong, but he has to be there or the comic will build controversial thought processes to the reader for the comic is based on “IF our reality had this”. Joker needs to be seen as a criminal (which as a character he is) but for the enslavement? It’s for the greater good. Bruce is rich he is elite, he defends the system, like a rich president or so.

I like that in the following panels Superman comes to visit, he's happy, he has his family, he didn't turn on himself. And when he talks to bruce he even asks if he wants out and walks through the viewing wall. Superman also says he could be out in a few years with good behavior and Bruce responds with "I'm getting into fights everyday, I doubt I'll be out for good behavior." Overall the dream was actually really sad to see what could have been if it all just got altered slightly.
"Deep down Clark is good but Deep down i am not ."- This also explains both Batman and Superman stance at killing joker . Superman kept on justifying himself he's good and he's killed joker for the greater good but he ended up as a dictator when he keeps on making compromises and justifications while batman admits he done a bad thing by killing Joker even if he deserves it . Also the situation counts as well : Batman killed in him in a clean state of mind while Superman was enraged at loss of his wife and unborn child . While Clark become twisted under WW influence here Batman had no influence at all .
I wonder how Jason would feel about this. Knowing that his father killed the man who killed him. If they explored more of this I would love to see the conversation between them. Maybe even bruce begging his wayward son to be better then him.
We get something close to this in Countdown To Final Crisis. Jason goes to Earth-51 and meets a Batman that did follow through and kill the Joker. They team up for a while; Jason becoming his Robin again before he had to continue universe-hopping with Kyle Rayner and Donna Troy.
A couple of things that added to the amazingness of this scene. One, Superman inadvertantly reveals Batman's identity to the Joker. Given the Joker's response, it's highly probable that unlike other iterations of the character, he really didn't know who Batman was. And as the Joker is a reasonably intelligent person, it stands to reason that it would be very likely he would figure out the rest of Bruce's identity and target his loved ones (how many rich people in Gothan are named Bruce?). So one could say Batman had extra incentive to end the Joker once and for all. Second, his friendship, comraderie, even brotherhood w/ Superman is so strong that out of all the things Joker has done, attempting to harm Superman through his wife & unborn child was the one line Batman had that Joker crossed. That Batman knew he could best the Joker, so he didn't mind Joker threatening him. But to threaten Superman? Even though he knows there's little to no chance Joker could harm the Man of Steel. To threaten his wife and child? That was the one line where Batman would say "you know what? You've just earned a one-time exemption from my no-killing rule". Brilliant writing.
I don’t think supes did that on accident, but everything is on point. Supes knows how important secret identities are, him saying Batman’s name in front of joker…it was a declaration of intent, that Joker wouldn’t live long enough to use that info.
Batman: NO! NOT SUPERMAN'S BABY!!! Joker: *kills people left and right and VERY LIKELY ruined families and turned kids orphans with his schemes* Batman: Yawn. Go to Arkham Asylum for a while please try to not do that again next time, mmkay? The no kill rule is fucking stupid.

I had so much respect for Bruce after reading this. Batman has always been one of my favourite heroes and seeing him turn himself in after killing the Joker just sealed his place amongst my favourites.
the lawful good ending: lois and metropolis survive, joker continues to threaten to cataclysmic idea of fucking with superman, batman realizes that the good of humanity matters more than his personal code while also turning himself in to prevent himself from going down the same rabbit hole as superman does when lois dies, making excuses for murder, justifying it, etc.
Superman wouldn't go crazy if Lois is killed, he went crazy in injustice because he was the one that killed her, if someone came and kill Lois he would stay same but wouldn't be so happy for a time, he would also grow up more
Superman became afraid of losing those close to him again. Which is why he became the dictator he did in injustice. He knew he alone had the power to stop all crime and put the world in its place. It was certainly the wrong way to do it but as the old saying goes. “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”
The fact we already saw what happened when this scenario went horribly wrong only doubles its emotional impact here (Well-selected music, Fernando!.) Nothing makes you appreciate a happy ending - well, let's say a _happier_ ending - more than a tragedy being averted by the skin of the teeth. I also love Harley's expression at 1:30. Even she's rendered speechless at watching her "puddin'" reach an almost unprecedented level of pure evil.
Superman can't kill without becoming an authoritarian dictator. Batman can't kill without becoming a black metal demon god. The Flash can't kill without Atlantis going to war with the gorilla people, probably. If you really gotta whack someone, just let Wonder Woman do it. She could break someone's neck and be emotionally fine in a week.
Just call Tommy Monaghan. He put a bullet through Joker, only reason he didn't double tap was he was chasing a eldtritch gun-toting demon. Hell, when he first thought he'd shot Joker, he only took the time to line up a head shot.
Strangely enough, the same exact logic is also used in Marvel characters like Spider-Man (for example) cannot kill without becoming a merciless anti-hero who who goes directly for the kill
Funny thing is, Batman KNOWS he could get away with this easily. Even if he reported himself, the most likely outcome is being set free via jury nullification. Because who would blame him other than himself at this point?
The true fact that Batman needs the Joker and the Joker needs Batman is sorta true being they are polar opposites. When one loses the other then the other would end up falling. Being when Joker lost batman, he became sane and lost purpose of himself. While Batman killing the Joker would end up losing himself to his code as a murderer like every other Batman villains so he turns himself in because it's the right thing to do.
I mean..You're half right? Fate is a odd and funny thing. Chaos and evil like the joker must always exist somewhere. If the joker is killed, a new form of chaos and evil will take his place. Like batman who laughs for example.
He doesn't only turn himself in, with the death of Joker, Batman dies as well in this instance. All that is left is Bruce Wayne, the man who killed the Joker. He not only murdered the Joker, but sacrificed his secret Identity and very likely his entire career as a vigilante.
@@Motherfuc some of you all dont get it. What he said is right. Thats either very heavily implied or outright stated that the batman and Joker needs each other, it's the whole balance of it all. Its legit showing in this clip lol you think if batman killed two face or killer croc or some shit he'd turn himself in and quit being batman altogether? Lol hell no, he'll mope about his "morale code" for a bit then joker will do some bullshit and itll go back on like nothing happened. The whole point in joker doing things is to interact with bats and vice versa
Wouldn’t she have died for many different reasons by him super speeding her into space? I’m sure he didn’t gently nudged into her thinking it was doomsday. Then the speed they went up wouldn’t he fly through her? Or the pressure change so fast. HOW
Yeah, I always thought that too. He thought it was Doomsday, I can only imagine he didn't have safety in mind. Good thing he didn't fire off some heat vision too.
I mean, this part of the comic is just a dream... So I mean. Yeah. Also, we can't really go into hyper-realism in a series with people who can shoot lasers out of their eyes, or jizz from earth to Uranus in the blink of an eye xD
Batman took the fall, so no one else would drench their hands in blood. That's a real hero. Know where the line is, and will cross it when its time. As for the "Execution", he will never allow his friends to be hurt again.
The cool thing about this is that unlike superman, Batman can block his emotions and bounce back from a killing without going down a dark path. He has the right to kill a villain more than anyone else
A man that walks the path between justice and vengeance know both very well. But a Boy Scout that has never understood the darkness may slip in it. Batman is a force of nature contained only by the rails of Justice and Vengeance. And yet he can come off as surprisingly cold as you noted.
"Batman can block his emotions and bounce back from a killing without going down a dark path" - ohhhhh man is that totally wrong. The thing about Batman is that he already IS on a dark path, and if he were to allow himself to give in, he would fall right into the void and never come back, turning into a cold-blooded killer, willing to murder anyone who opposes him in any way, and completely losing touch with his humanity. This is basically what happened in an alternate reality, and that is how we got Owlman; part of the Crime Syndicate of America. In Batman's own words about killing the Joker: "A day doesn't go by that I don't think about subjecting him to every horrendous torture he's dealt out to others, and then... end him. But if I do that, if I allow myself to go down into that place... I'll never come back."
Agreed, but Superman's emotions are the only thing keeping him from being like Homelander/Omniman. He needs to be the kind-hearted boy scout, anything else won't work.
Man, batsies is just dumb. Its better to kill bad guys who kill intentionally and not because of a situation, cause when they leave they would just do it again. The Punisher is more effective in eradicating crime warlords, Gotham would be clean in a week
There’s a line from GOW Ragnarok that I think fits to this scenario quite well; “You didn’t kill him because it was written. You killed him because it was necessary.” Batman killed the Joker not out of anger nor spite, but out of necessity.
Joker crossed the line. Batman was almost always his focus before. But now, Joker was going after another hero’s family. I think the turning point of no return was the moment Joker learned Batman was named Bruce. All of a sudden, the mystery and the fun were cut short. Joker would eventually move on, and Superman was looking juicy.
I like how no matter how many times the joker fucks with Bruce he puts up with it, never breaking his rule despite the torment he goes through. But as soon as he fucks with his friend he fuckin kills him, mad respect.
Batman: I need to turn myself in, I killed the joker..... Gordon: Put the mask back on and get to work! Batman: but... Gordon: we don't lock people up for disposing of rabid animals.
Batman: I need to report a crime. I snapped Joker's neck and his head cracked my window. Gordon: Ah I see. Property Destruction huh. That Joker sure is a nasty villain.
This is my favourite part of injustice, I'm not a massive fan of the concept myself but this dream proves and disproves so many things about the characters. It shows that joker was wrong about batman , and to an extent barman was wrong about himself. If he snaps and goes too far he won't become worse than the joker. He will still do the right thing. And honestly this situation is for the best because Bruce can handle the aftermath of the act as it allowed superman to remain an icon to the world and keep his morals intact.
"I was bringing him in to face justice, but then he went and snapped his own neck. Nothing I could do. I was driving and I needed to keep my hands at 10 & 2. Safety and all that."
Man.. The fact one of Joker's goals of having Batman break his own sense of justice by killing Joker himself, finally came true.. but this is still Joker's lost. Because the way Batman did it, where Joker didn't do any major damage to the world like in the original Injustice after dying to the hands of superman, he did not expect to die like that. Joker lost
It seems really meaningful that whole joker is doing his usual thing. Goading on batman and talking about their dynamic and how fun their game of cat and mouse is. Batman is just thinking it over. He knew what he was going to do the moment they got into the car. They just had to prepare themself to cross that line in the sand
2:22 you can see how Batman truly feels helpless and completely powerless by all measures, knowing he in some way fucked up 6:22 you can see the pure evil pouring directly from Joker’s heart, there is no saving people like this, you can feel the atmosphere change while reading it both in your mind and in the vehicle, and Batman felt it, and that is what crossed the line, Batman stopped him completely then and there Man this comic is so damn good, I wish they would make a movie out of this, with brilliant actors to really sell the scene, so much emotion pours from the comics.
Yes, but how he turned himself in, likely pled guilty without a DA even offering a deal, and with as many corrupt officals in Gotham, you don't think they, or those on the take, their bosses, wouldn't do everything to put the Bat away?
I’m not familiar with the storyline but apparently Batman literally refused to not have a sentence 🤣 so they gave him like 2 years 6 months which was probably the minimum sentence. I think he just felt like he had committed a crime and had to be punished for it. Minimum sentence is probably best though.
Impound it (somehow) and be "surprised" when it goes missing after Nightwing sneaks in to take it back. "I can drive dad's car all I want now that he's in prison!"
At some point you'd think ARGUS or some other morally dubious group would have just shot Joker given how much of an uncontrollable threat he is to everyone despite being a simple human. Nevermind the fact normal cops, feds, civilians, and foreign governments should all have been gunning for him.
From the moment he promised superman that he'd never be hurt by the joker, to the joker's own musings about going out the next chance he got to find a way to hurt superman again, bruce couldn't justify just locking up the joker again. Bruce knew that he only barely avoided a tragedy and losing his best friend as he knew him and that the joker would just end up pulling another stunt and potentially succeeding the next time or the time after. Bruce was ok if it was just himself the joker went after, but to know for a fact what would happen now that the joker set his sights on breaking someone on superman's level and after already witnessing what superman was about to stoop to in retaliation, he could only make one choice since blood would be on his hands regardless. This is a pretty interestingly written what-if.
I can only imagine that trial

He probably thought more along the lines of "I'm going to sacrifice my ideals and accept jail-time, for superman."
Still, bet Dick and Barb are pissed.

@@LaloSalamancaGaming69yes he does. Batman is no longer a hero if he kills
I agree with almost all of it but some cops are serial offenders when they kill and hurt people.
@@DeepEye1994 I can't argue with the practicality of what you're saying but I think Batman's stance on not killing has to do with the fact that he would not only stop at one kill.

Example:Joker
Batman saw the difference as well.
Imo, there is nothing "too far" for Joker. He must have done worse than that.
Still don't blame him I fucking hate kids too cmon don't tell me you don't

Well, its Batman and Joker and you know these guys are like a gold mine for DC

Actually, Batman did want to kill Joker.
And, ironically, it was SUPERMAN who talked him out of going through with it.

@@MultiSpectra123 Just so you are aware, I read that in Jensen Ackles' voice, so good job there
@@Lindsay-nx5sv that sounds amazing

Superman wouldn't go crazy if Lois is killed, he went crazy in injustice because he was the one that killed her, if someone came and kill Lois he would stay same but wouldn't be so happy for a time, he would also grow up more

2:22 you can see how Batman truly feels helpless and completely powerless by all measures, knowing he in some way fucked up
6:22 you can see the pure evil pouring directly from Joker’s heart, there is no saving people like this, you can feel the atmosphere change while reading it both in your mind and in the vehicle, and Batman felt it, and that is what crossed the line, Batman stopped him completely then and there
Man this comic is so damn good, I wish they would make a movie out of this, with brilliant actors to really sell the scene, so much emotion pours from the comics.
All Batman did for the city he shouldn’t even be able to go to Jail for killing the JOKER
In a world where Batman breaks his number one rule, is a world without Balance. He holds the DC universe together.
@@ieatkittinz he also used guns, I think.
@@ieatkittinz And that's why that universe doesn't exist anymore.
Nah he doesnt hold the DC universe together. Maybe the Justice league.
@@RJchaotic sorry brother he even holds the Justice League together
Aka the cheapest excuse of a comic "moral code" ever lmao.
Love how Harley keeps looking at Joker like "please stop, we've fucked up enough already"
Finally, Batman did what he should have done a long time ago...
And break a YEARS of story
@@crowbirdryuell yup. Joker is overused.
I have to wonder though, if they actually took him to custody then and there, what'd they do with his gear and the batmobile?
Take pictures with it I’d imagine
Tow the mobile, as for the gear probably remove any weapons and take him in as is
You just know they played with it
Impound it (somehow) and be "surprised" when it goes missing after Nightwing sneaks in to take it back.
"I can drive dad's car all I want now that he's in prison!"
@@ethanhayes7205 they just let nightwing walk in and take it back while continuing their conversation
7:03 the looks on the officers faces says it all ,Batman finally crossed the line.
Which one?
They're all cops
@@keithharrissuwignjo2460 Gordon, Bullock and montoya
batman is through with jokers shit
On this day, Batman made Jason Todd very happy for the first time in years
When you say “Batman KILLS for Superman”, you know how good of friends they are.
At some point you'd think ARGUS or some other morally dubious group would have just shot Joker given how much of an uncontrollable threat he is to everyone despite being a simple human. Nevermind the fact normal cops, feds, civilians, and foreign governments should all have been gunning for him.
Joker gets hit by school bus, driver chatting on cell phone?
No Govt. needed he attacks the MOB also.
In real life, no villain is immune from being killed. Also in real life, Batman would be dead in a week.
And what if in this moment Joker's strongest toxic would be released in the car? The one from his heart? We would get the Batman who laughs...
Well, we already know that story.
Well far as i know getting your neck snapped wouldnt stop the heart right away
Getting your neck snapped doesn’t kill you immediately the suffocation does because you become unable to breathe at least I think
@@surprisetroll5700 Well i have no idea, i've never snapped my neck, maybe i'll try when i'll have time and tell you how was it :)
@@darkmessiah9566 whats the update?
he broke his necm so hard that joker's head broke the bulletproof glass
Oh god that was SO satisfying
The sound of spine snapping or jokwr dying lol
@@johnathanargow4762 Both 😅
From the moment he promised superman that he'd never be hurt by the joker, to the joker's own musings about going out the next chance he got to find a way to hurt superman again, bruce couldn't justify just locking up the joker again.
And this is how all the madness and slaughtering started
Imagine how Jason Todd would feel. "Oh, I see. Kill Joker for Superman but not me huh?!" Savage. 😂
