    I am a 73 year old male. This past Summer I had to undergo 4 very serious open heart surgeries.     I put them thru the wide grip on my anchor, sit indian style right under the door & Cris cross them, I arch my back and get a great squeeze every rep.

    I bought the ankle straps at your suggestion for doing seated rows. They were completely useless for that movement. Why? It was impossible to get the straps to wrap tightly around my wrists. They were way too long so the velcro end had nothing to stick on. Since the resistance is pulling in line with the straps, it just pulls the straps off your hands. As an ankle strap the resistance is at 90 degrees so it won't pull off your ankle, but for this exercise, they do pull off.

      They are not supposed to be tight. We do this exercise EVERY SINGLE WEEK. Once your hand goes in to the strap it should rest on the top of your hand and your fingers should wrap around the rest of the strap

    Guy has excellent advise. YOU can also use a pistol drill to drill into open joist rafters in your basement--then just buy wood screw threaded eye bolts to your ceiling to attach 4" snap hooks to add bands each set. One vid is me & my trainee in my band powered arm curl concentration machine doing a 15 set run with the last set at 130 pounds each arms.

      GreenKeto Goddess sit and if the resistance is too strong you can support yourself by putting one feet on the wall or whatever structure your using, be creative!

      There is no lower lats, the lat is a single muscle on both sides of your back, it is either fully activated everywhere or not. You can not workout your "upper lats" without also working out your "lower lats".

    So you can not use much resistance do to the fact you will get pulled forward. So you are limited in growth and development

      No. As you get stronger you can increase the resistance without being pulled. The resistance that previously would pull you will not anymore.

      Kevin T. Powell No. if the resistance is the maximum, you can be very strong that you will go to the door because of the force you make. It is like when you move upwards on a chinup. If you lay down the resistance withe the mat solves it. Or if you put a barrier in fron of you or you anchor yourself to the floor, or sb helps you to stay on the same place.
