      I'd say 9:34 is reverse grip. Hammer grip is thumbs up.

    I've been working with these bands for 8 weeks now and let me tell you, I get a much better workout than I ever did with weights and that's after 30 years of powerlifting and with all the injuries I gotten over the years these bands are a blessing. Thanks James... 👍

      Ron Consumer yeah brother, I’m with you. I wish I would have made the transition to bands only even sooner. I love the workouts, the peak contractions, the subtle differences in TUT, etc. They are such a great tool for muscle building, performance, power, mobility, stability, etc. Give it another year and all the skepticism from the hardcore gym bro’s will finally subside and they’ll start embracing the benefits of this style of training.

      @@JamesGrage I too wish I had started with these a lot sooner but like most muscle heads we tend to be a stubborn bunch. My buddies still tell me that I'm off to play with my rubber bands BUT they refuse to try them when I challenge them. Oh well, one day they will change their mind.

      @@JamesGrage I'm in the same boat with Ron Consumer. My body is beat up from 30 years of competitive Powerlifting. I used bands when I was Powerlifting by attaching the bands to a barbell to accommodate resistance. With my Powerlifting days behind me the only way that I can train without having to go through the pain is training with bands. There are so many things that a person can do with bands alone just by using their imagination and with your videos, the sky is the limit on what a person can do with bands. Keep up the great work on your videos

    Hi James, I’m Steve from the UK, I used to train with weights and MMA but at age 55 had to stop as needed a full shoulder replacement and had back issues. I’ve been training with bands the last few months now aged 57 and I have to say, your videos are awesome, I never thought I’d train again but thanks to you I do. Bands are the way to go and beat weights 100%. Thanks for your videos mate 👍🏻

    I just turned 60 and started training with free weights again.
    I have no room in the house to set up my bench and now we are heading into winter, I don't want to lose the progress as I've been training in the garden. Resistance bands sound like just the job and this channel has sold me on the idea of resistance bands. Inexpensive and can work them anywhere. This is a great resource - thank you James!

      Steve,
      Summer is ending here too and I am seriously considering ending my gym membership as I have only been in twice in the last two months. I just put some eye bolts into the floor in our attic and am getting more for the roof beams, to hook spring link clips through so I can use my bands at several angles. For convenience I find I mostly anchor using my feet and the door anchor though. An overhead press anchored with feet seems awkward at first but once you find which amount of resistance is correct you will notice that the press now incorporates your core more than weights because your form is more obvious to you with bands... can't fully explain, but if you've been lifting for years and have patience at the beginning with bands you will notice.

      Just look at the load capacity the eye bolts and spring clips can take, it should tell you on the package. I think I'm using 250 pounds each and they are pretty cheap. Outside I just screwed the eye bolts into pine trees and move the clips wherever I need them.

    James, what do you think about doing a video with a truck driver on how drivers can use bands and anchor points on the truck to get good workouts in on the road. I've been using bands at truck stops and rest areas and feel a lot of drivers could really change their health situations with these tools.

      Whatever you do, stay away from the iron. I mean the weights and machines. All it does is cause injuries. And believe me, it’s almost inevitable. We all go through this crap at some point.
      Best thing ever is normal exercises such as push-ups, pull-ups, rope skipping, jogging, swimming etc.
      I only wish I had known it sooner before I mess up all my joints and tendons.

    I’m a 25yr plus experience trainer....and my favorite thing is breaking out my bands at the park,beach or even by the pool.....bands are fantastic....oh and I’m 6’3” 280lbs..so yes ...big guys can get great workouts with resistance bands.....

      @@iansuncoast haven't had it happen, but i could see the possibility with some exercises for sure... thing is people get injured using weights all the time. But that's good advice for certain exercises, like in this video where you're pulling right to the face maybe should wear at least sunglasses.

    I started researching RBT this past summer. I came across this channel and was impressed by how adaptable RBT really was. I decided to purchase TA2 Build program in Sept and currently am on the last month and week of the 90 day program. As James has spoken to in one of his videos regarding priorities and not having time to spend in the gym. It was difficult to find a home exercise program that gave me results without spending hours a day and allowed me to keep that balance in place. RBT and TA2 program gives you that balance!

    Have had these bands for around 2 years! Love them. The workouts are great and time efficient. Tomorrow I'm going to take them out to the beach, Myrtle, for a workout! First time doing them on the beach!

    3:34 preacher curl, short head (thickness),
    - anchored at chest level.
    6:50 behind - the-back curl (1 arm), long head (peak),
    - anchored at hip level.
    9:30 reverse grip curl, bracchialis (power /functionality /indirect size),
    - standing on it.
    12:28 standard bicep curl, general bicep
    - anchored low
    3 sets for beginners, 4 for advanced
    His repetitions are 20-10-10-15 but the general rule is 15-20 rep for strength and 8-12 for useless size.
    Pick your path.

    James gives a lot of important detail, tells you what to focus on (resistence time). James is such a great teacher, and head smart "concentric contraction", "eccentric contraction", in just two months see a big difference in arm strenght and size.     I received the bans a week ago and got the gloves in a large but didn't fit and had to send them back. However. I have been using the bands and following along with his chest and arms so far and I got to say I like it better than going to the gym. I've learned a lot from AthleanX but James really has made it simple. So hats off to you sir and keep on keeping on. These are my favorites go to guys on this subject. Always learning keeps you fit.

    I've never been more excited to stay committed, I've trained for over 10 years but the gym and weights have a major disadvantage, it's not very convenient and conveniency can stop or hold up consistency, so having the bands takes that out of the equation and basically I have no excuse to miss and I think that's why I'm so excited because no matter what I know I can always train whenever i need!! There will BE NO!! WALLS NO EXCUSES NO BARRICADES NO CHALLENGES TO GETTING MY RESULTS just me and my bands!! And the freedom to train anytime anywhere!! Without hassle ,that's the biggest thing to me!! There really isn't anything in the way except you putting In work!! Its really a better optimal flexible way to train!!

      i agree.. with bands anchor points and a stick you can work your entire body very efficiently...

    Did this workout Friday night, HOLY SMOKES JAMES!!! I am sore like crazy, maybe as a beginner "again" I should have not gone so hard, but then again, I know it works because of the swelling.. Will go through your other videos as well, thank you!

    I like how you explain the exercises. I’m a beginner and you keep telling me the possible mistakes that i did all the time and you were right. I did nearly all of them. Proper form is everything so thanks for the explanation. New subscriber here.

    I decided to get these bands and try out these workouts for the main fact that I work out at home in my garage, I live in Florida, and it's just too dang hot. So I got these to work out inside in the AC. I have to admit though, just the first 2 sets of that preacher curl band workout and my arms are burning more than they usually do after my entire arm workout with the weights. I'm a believer!

      evis agolli 👍 It’s funny you mentioned the boredom because truthfully after all those years spent in the gym, I was starting to get bored with it. I was still committed to it but I had already tried every kind of training style you could think of, so it was starting to get monotonous.

    Thanks for the video James, I’ve always had bands because I travel for work but I’m stuck at home, I’ve got no choice to use them. That was one of the hardest and most rewarding bicep workouts I’ve ever done. And in half the time. Thanks again and stay safe.

    Just got my bands in the mail. Great workout and pump. Most definitely can feel the peak contraction and time under tension on the muscles. Loving them thus far.

    Bands are so much harder for me than weights. That constant tension is no joke! I notice amazing progress in my workouts with bands alone.

    Great videos and exercises.
    What do you think, specially now as gyms are locked, virus is on, of doing exercises several times a day.
    Ex. biceps, morning, afternoon, even more, rest 48 hrs. Same and also different biceps exercises. I feel once a day too short.
