I think they look good, but I’m don’t like being forced to using a nato strap which will add extra height. It’ll be interesting to understand more about the carbon case material though, and how it would stand up to punishment. They seem very ‘affordable’ so I’m wondering if they were able to save money with this case material?
Big Pelagos fan, but not keen on the new FXD (have not seen in the flesh yet though). Mess of colours and materials for me, and I am way too old to want 'Red Bull' written on my watch! Love blue too, but not keen on black cases. The FXD MN23 is much nicer IMO ;)
Design aesthetics aside, from a practical standpoint the chrono function is redundant as the large snowflake obscures the Sub registers. By the time you gather a legible reading you would lose your position. Yacht racing like car racing is blink of split second timing where every a tenth of a second counts. A professional yachtsman would treat this no more than a Red Bull promo toy for fanboys. Tudor is possibly heading in a Hublot direction. I would personally rather wear a plastic sandwich bag over my Speedmaster if I needed a waterproof chrono.
This new Red Bull design is lame. Boring dial with no sunburst effect. Cheaply stamped indices instead of applied ones. The shield+Tudor+Geneve on the dial are too close together. Too much text at 6 o'clock- looks cluttered. The rehaut looks childish with those words "Alinghi Red Bull'". No high-beat movement. No drilled lugs. No reason to buy it. Overall this watch is a mess. Better off spending your hard earned money on a well-made classy Longines.
You are too kind! Thank you! The new Pelagos is nice. I would have to see it in person before I could say I would buy it. 🤙🤙
Makes sense!

Yeah not a fan of the lugs or nato straps either.
Consider Mankey or Wrist Steward straps, they don't add any height to fixed lug watches.
I love the color way but it's way too big for me. Have you seen the new Omega 75th anniversary watches?
I haven't seen it in the flesh yet.

hahaha yes! There's something to be said for having certain brands on your luxury items... RedBull included.

I wouldn't buy one either. I think they are fun - but not fun enough at that price. I also agree, fixed lugs is an issue.
Like your content, but I like you more.
