Rolex can go to hell. The GMT Master was designed for my profession. For the company whose Pacific route structure is part of my airline, in other words…me. I would love to own one, but I’ll continue to spend my money at Omega where my business is appreciated.

You get the same treatment at car dealers no matter how rich you are. Any high end car is only for sale to people who have either bought many cars for them, or who want to tick every option in the brochure. The markup on options is crazy, so they get a big thumbs up from the factory of they sell a Porsche 911 (for example) with £50,000 of options. On a Ferrari, you can adjust that up towards £100,000....or higher. All dealers have a limited number of decent cars to sell, so they want each one with maxed up options.

Rolex makes some nice watches but there's so many other nice watches. If you display something in a store you advertise for sale you should be able to go buy it with your hard earned money. They should make more watches or dont have those watches "for sale".

Love the look of the watch but when i tried it the feel was wrong, tried it on at an AD and found the houseing was very sharp on the underside (enough to cut skin with a little pressure) and to be honest the bezel soundend like an old 70`s Skoda. such a disappiontment.

The 'Zulu' time nomenclature comes from the NATO military time zone designators, which are split up by letters for ease of writing or transmitting. For example, on the East Coast of Australia, under Australian Eastern Standard Time, 8:00AM in the morning would be represented as 0800K (Kilo being UTC + 10). In AEDT, 8:00AM would be represented as 0800L (where Lima is UTC + 11). Zulu is the military designation of UTC + 0. Technically, saying Zulu time = GMT isn't quite correct. GMT is a time zone (much like AEST or AEDT is a time zone) , whereas UTC is a time standard. Zulu is directly equivalent to UTC + 0, not GMT, but.. at the end of the day, they ARE the same actual times.

I wish Rolex treated their new customers better. I was lucky enough to find my Rolex on the “gray” market in great condition.

The process should be: you select the product, the industrially produced good (Rolex is very industrial in the right engineering sense), you pay for it, you walk out of the store with it. That's it.

A Panerai on a Lady's wrist: this is genuinely rare, and a great choice, very bold! Sad for your experience. Had same on some AD, had also on a Mercedes dealer when 27. In either cases, I bought something else, on a friendly dealer. You vote with your wallet. "Buy the seller" is not only for used or vintage watches: it works for any transaction! Notice that Luxury is precisely not about waiting in a queue list! That's for us paesans!

GMT, UST and Zulutime are all the same time but the big point (that no TH-camr ever fricken mentions) about Zulutime is because of how radio miscommunication in different accents and poor quality signals cost lives. I cannot remember the exact progression, but 'Z Time' was one of them.

For this price range, considering value for money in addition to modding options, the Orient is tip top in my opinion. I never found a green dial where I live, that looked great! Also, you are absolutely correct - the 666' was our thumbing the nose at the metric-centric watch world 😊

If you think Tudor has great value proposition in Swiss watches, wait until you see the Longines catalogue. Their Zulu Time GMT is $2k AUD cheaper and its an absolute banger.

Well done for becoming a Tudor convert! I have a Rolex OP and a Tudor BB 36 which are nice, but strangely, I prefer the Tudor!

Thanks for the video - as always your personal perspective on things makes a nice change from the more "professional" reviews. I considered the Tudor BB GMT when I was looking for a GMT, but went for the Longines Spirit Zulu instead. Not sure what I'd have done if this had been available - it's wonderfully tooly. I don't think I'd want to take it off that strap either - watches are all about stories, and the Marine Nationale connection is a nice touch.

thanks for having a go Jess, i think your vids are great especially as you are not a fulltime you tuber, nice production and your a very personable presenter, if anyone has a go at you it a bit sad for them. I fthey can do better lets see it then..Put up or shut up, if you dont have constructive comments then perhaps think about starting your own channel...we need more aussie watch content and its really not easy to produce something evn half decent let alone watchable.
