This is exactly what I did this year. Sold my Tudors and Omegas to get me a modern Submariner. Got the 114060 first, then I traded it in for a 124060 when the opportunity arose. Couldn’t be happier!
@AndrewMorganWatches As one who often struggles to put thoughts into words or writing, I find myself drawn to your videos not only for watch content, but to get a dose of your always witty commentary, and of course your voice. Carry on, Andrew. No one does what you do here quite the same. 👏🏼🍻
Not that it matters but my one-and-done in real life is the NOMOS Club Sport neomatik 39 Tabac. Bought it recently, and in my dotage. Nothing more until my sunset, naturally, although there's a Dornbluth on order which will be delivered in 14 months... if I'm still around, that is!
Interesting. I just retired and bought the Tabac as my GADA watch. On the bracelet, the male end-link takes the lug to lug well beyond 52mm, so on my 7.5" wrist it sits about perfect.
Wonderful choices, Andrew. Despite your remarkable sense of humor and high entertainment value, I learn so much from you and appreciate just about everything you do! Thank you, sir.
The black bay 39 does not come across on pictures but when I compared it against grand seiko, omega or even rolex in hand, it just wowed me. Such a timeless, elegant and sporty watch, insane quality and comfort on the wrist. Completely won me and my friend over, bought it on the spot 🙌🏼
Over the past year I've picked up yet another hew hobby with watches, like I needed any more. During the initial deep dive of viewing numerous watch related videos on You Tube, yours have been some of them (please take that as a knowing nod to the tone of your invariably splendid content). Good luck for the new year and keep up the good work.
$300: 39mm Timex Marlin $800: 38mm Hamilton Murph $1500: Oris Big Crown Pointer Date $2000: Sinn 104 $2500: Nomos Orion $3000: Omega Railmaster $3500: 39mm Tudor Black Bay $4000: 39mm Tudor Pelagos $4500: IWC Mark XX $5000: Omega Aqua Terra $10,000: Rolex Datejust
I get around this one watch problem by focusing on my favourite watch movement, which is important to my choice of watches. The vintage omega 30mm family is my favourite, which was in a long list of various case, dial and hand styles.
In the $300 range, I’d like to nominate the Citizen Rolan BU2110-01A. Perfect for a guy like me who hates anything digital. Yes, including the date. I worked in computers long enough to find those annoying. Not that it doesn’t have a date. At three you have a 31 day small wheel. At 9, a day of week small wheel. At six, a 24 hour clock. A dial and case with enough class for when that annoying VP from the home office shows up, a first date, or when you meet the ‘rents for the first time. With a butterfly naturally. I think it might even come with a wristband if you prefer to save some currency. An echo-drive, so no battery to run out the wrong time.
I still think Seiko Mechanical SZSB013 is up there in great value. I think it's $400 now, but I got it for $195 back then. It looks and feels like a $500-$700 watch
Some lovely choices in there. But please, Andrew…. I have noticed not just in this video but the last couple, you had made more than one reference to nuclear bombs, apocalypses and nuclear attacks and as much as I know this is hyperbole and rhetoric and metaphor….. it’s also deeply triggering to those who, like myself, have crippling anxiety, especially with the world as it is right now. It’s flares up mine (and no doubt others) levels of anxiety even at the thought of these things. Sickeningly so. I know you mean no harm and may well even have or have no belief that the world is heading that way, but for those who catastrophise daily with these thoughts through no fault of their own, it’s really hard to be reminded on a simple watch channel that this stuff is still happening. I know I sound like the ONE person who has no sense of humour or that keyboard warrior and I am aware I might get a load of stick for this comment as people will say “grow a pair” or “you don’t speak for us. If you don’t like it don’t listen” etc etc. But I want to hear about and watch stuff on watches, not frighteningly reminded that we could ACTUALLY have a real apocalypse on our hands in the next few years. Which for people who suffer like me, is frankly terrifying
Deciding to have only one watch is not that different from deciding to get married. You can stay single and change girlfriends every month, but you can also get fed up with that and want a more stable life. By the way, I have three watches, no wife and no girlfiend(s)..
It's no use wasting money either , on a watch that contains a very small very cheap 5-10mm piece of crappy plastic quartz movement inside inside a watch case like a very cheapo timex quartz . If you buy a Casio , stick to an LCD display model 🤔 . If your going to buy a better high quality quartz analogue movement watch , buy a ronda metal calibre movement watch , unless you opting for a very expensive breitling quartz moduled watch . If you want an even higher grade of quality made of metal automatic analogue quartz calibre movement , buy a SEIKO or GRAND SEIKO Spring drive watch , or just Seiko's high end grade quartz only metal calibre movement watch , or the CITIZEN watch companys high end quartz calibre movement watch .
Listen to yourself...anyone who is spending £120k on a watch isn't living in the real world with us plebs. My parents think I'm insane spending £15-20k on a watch....& I'm pretty wealthy.
Im done with 5 figure priced watches , I'm in to high quality RC cars , which much more fun than watches and cheaper than buying real cars . With me just over my mid 50's , i want to enjoy the rest of my hobby years 🤔 🤣 .
Hi Andrew. What’s the meaning of “your favourite Christian deity being reliant on the Sun”? Nice watch but really not getting the reference. God isn’t reliant on anyone
for a fella who is trying to make a living on the edges of intersection of the slightest of allusions, going full on chinese "one child policy" is a rather shocking turn. but I'll play the game anyway - daytona le mans in white gold does it.
I think that one watch collections are optimal, thus, I have fifteen such collections.
Spot on friend. I have hundreds of one-watch collections.
Agree
😅😅😅
This is The Way
You know what's good!
This is exactly what I did this year. Sold my Tudors and Omegas to get me a modern Submariner. Got the 114060 first, then I traded it in for a 124060 when the opportunity arose. Couldn’t be happier!
I want a book of nothing but Andrew Morgan expressions and analogies. The greatest bathroom reader in history.
@AndrewMorganWatches As one who often struggles to put thoughts into words or writing, I find myself drawn to your videos not only for watch content, but to get a dose of your always witty commentary, and of course your voice. Carry on, Andrew. No one does what you do here quite the same. 👏🏼🍻
Another pack of gems, too many to select one, your writing is getting top notch, thanks Andrew, Happy Christmas

I really want that watch, although I suspect the polar blue dial would tempt me more than the tabac. How does it wear with the usual long Nomos lugs?
Interesting. I just retired and bought the Tabac as my GADA watch. On the bracelet, the male end-link takes the lug to lug well beyond 52mm, so on my 7.5" wrist it sits about perfect.
@@brunobolanti3675 Ah. I have a 6.2” wrist so it might be too big
@ianforberI went for the petrol green in 37mm, walked past the polar blue in a window and didn’t regret it!
Wonderful choices, Andrew. Despite your remarkable sense of humor and high entertainment value, I learn so much from you and appreciate just about everything you do! Thank you, sir.
Andrew, your videos make the Sunday blues disappear. Thank you.
100%
I also say this and ended up with 15 watches. And, reading and following up to find another perfect watch. This game never ends
Great entertaining stuff as always, Andrew! Happy Holidays!

One watch isn’t a collection. It’s just one watch.
Yeah, it’s like one man sex party. 🎉
Specialist subject: The Bleeding Obvious.
Thanks

$2000: Sinn 104
$2500: Nomos Orion

Rainbow Daytona...... perfect for every occasion.....
If you’re Liberace.
Perfect for every UK public employee meeting.
I'd choose the IWC Pilot as my one-and-done watch from this list.
Sinn for the Win, every time!❤
500-1000 is loaded: Certina ds action day date, Henry Archer Verden, Tissot 1938 heritage to name just a few.
I do hope at least one brand denotes the depth to which a given model is waterproof with the designation ‘Cod-bothering’.
An a A. Lange & Söhne beater. Now that’s one to stain the lederhosen!
I wear mine with incontinence pants.
Wearing my Tissot Gent now...was my first Swiss auto and I love it.
😂I came for the watches, but I stay for the pithy remarks! And you never disappoint! Well done.
Wonderful Andrew Witty and Wonderful x
I get around this one watch problem by focusing on my favourite watch movement, which is important to my choice of watches. The vintage omega 30mm family is my favourite, which was in a long list of various case, dial and hand styles.
The fact that the Nomos designers left out the "6" is simply incomprehensible.
Great picks!
GS SBGX261
"boy oh boy", I love it when you say fetching!
"cod bothering". Lovely!
SEASONS GREETINGS IN ALL CAPS ANDREW!❤
It’s like the watches are just a vehicle for the wit. You could be talking about drill bits and it’s still be worth tuning in for.
Nice list 💪. I would maybe swap the Citizen for a DressKX
I know the IWC Ingenieur is too expensive but I still like it for a GADA watch. No CW Sealander C63?
Adam Driver actually wore a very similar Casio in the movie Patterson- watch even had a few solo shots
As much as I want to stick with a one-and-done, my clones vigorously disagree... Help! I'm outnumbered!
I have that Casio and it’s my London visiting watch.

Got a 126622 for my wedding. I have more watches but it’s pretty much all one would need.
Thatay be the first warch from a lange & sohne that I actually like. And one of the better looking chronos, too.
Only fifteen one watch collections. You're just getting started.
“Like your favorite Christian deity: reliant on the sun.”
Fantastic
The Teutonic jibes never ever get old.
Nice modest watch, that Casio.
I am sad you didn't pick the SMP300, but oh well what can you do.
Certina ds 1
Hahaha "making sure no one smuggles in some decent food"
I can only guess that the designer of the Sinn U50 has a child that plays “Mine Craft”
aqua terra, iwc ingeneur, submariner, day-date, lange saxonia big date moonphase, jlc polaris chrono, Grand Seiko sbgx261...
I love how the TH-cam app put a ‘Translate to English’ under your post😂.
Unbelievable but true!
Hey, I have a Baume and Mercier! 😆
I lost it at "the yoo-hoo."
Rolex should be complete missing from this video, just like MSRP inventory is missing, at your local AD.
I want a Jef Costello watch one watch watch collection.
What? Omega didn’t pay to play? Best watches on the planet didn’t get a mention. Real men wear Panerai.
Real men don't feel they have to compensate by wearing a big watch. They can wear a 35mm, eat quiche and laugh at the wannabe, pretender real men.😊
And the Sinn won’t shoot you in the leg like the sig will
Excelente. 🎉
14:50 - DONG to the GEU to the RA-MI! ❤😂
Woo to the Young to the Woo!
Ah who wouldn’t enjoy 8 years old milk…😂
What about bigger watches? 42mm+
That Casio is 36 quid on Amazon right now
But I DO want a Baume et Mercier!
Some lovely choices in there.
But please, Andrew….

Hey I have a lot of one watch collections 😂
Attorney Woo! ❤
Saying mean things to the Sinn just to make it stronger when they are just cute innocent creatures is terrible 😢
Tudor BB58 GMT Coke....ofc.
I got rid of all my Swatch group watches and so should you
Deciding to have only one watch is not that different from deciding to get married. You can stay single and change girlfriends every month, but you can also get fed up with that and want a more stable life. By the way, I have three watches, no wife and no girlfiend(s)..
Cod Bothering
😂😂😂😂😂
't is zot in Dutch, Tossit in english... nope.. I'll get the Seiko any day,,
What’s wrong with Swiss food ?😂
Single watch collection? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Not a chance!
I like Andrew but how many time can these youtubers make the same video?!
All fine until tudor, the youtube brand.
I'd like to have 2 dog eggs for my breakfast please
Probably end up buying all of them. ✔️ Done

Victorian orphan grade beating 🤣
Good luck trying to buy the Lange for 120,000 pounds.
Listen to yourself...anyone who is spending £120k on a watch isn't living in the real world with us plebs. My parents think I'm insane spending £15-20k on a watch....& I'm pretty wealthy.
@ you don’t get it. My point is buying that Lange for 120k at retail is impossible.
Im done with 5 figure priced watches , I'm in to high quality RC cars , which much more fun than watches and cheaper than buying real cars . With me just over my mid 50's , i want to enjoy the rest of my hobby years 🤔 🤣 .
You right RBG was trash 🤙
Skip the long Rolex Blabla and put some decent ones instead.
Citizen suratto
Thank me later
No snowflake? Seriously!?!
:)
Hi Andrew. What’s the meaning of “your favourite Christian deity being reliant on the Sun”? Nice watch but really not getting the reference. God isn’t reliant on anyone
No such thing as a one watch "collection"!
Agreed...you need 3! Beater/daily/special occasion.
However I have 9.
for a fella who is trying to make a living on the edges of intersection of the slightest of allusions, going full on chinese "one child policy" is a rather shocking turn.
but I'll play the game anyway - daytona le mans in white gold does it.
