They use the leading note a lot (the leading note is the seventh note in a diatonic scale, in the case of E minor, it's a D#/Eb) 3. The guitar tends to parallel the main melody rather than a counterpoint or separate melody 4. Orchestral elements
I actually prefer her singing this live. I’m not a singer but it just sounds way better to me. Especially the Brit Awards version. I’ve listened to it at least a100 x’s and now when I hear the studio version I sing the extra runs and hold the notes and vibrato longer. You gotta listen to that version or at least the Jimmy Fallon show that just came out recently.
