- Hello and Happy Holidays to you all! ✨🪅✨ Here is the Tiny Ornament I made using the Festive Cane from last week’s demo! This classic Pear shape provides the perfect backdrop to showcase the delicate threads of color in each cane. I was surprised to see how different these canes look embedded in the glass! I attempted this piece a few times and discovered that a darker background really helped the fine lines to stand out and the goldstone to sparkle! The finished piece looks great hanging anywhere!🤗

Lovely as usual. I know it's a little thing, but I love how you add those touches, like the clear dots, that just finishes them so nicely.

Question, I’m looking to do a lamp working set up in my glass studio. I also do Boro along with 104. Just wondering what you use for torch, oxygen and ventilation.
@jodyjaramillo6370 Hi Jody!😃 How exciting! ✨✨There is a good handful of torches out there….as I’m sure you know! I am using a Carlisle ‘Hellcat’. It’s a wonderful torch for both soft and hard glass. I also use oxygen tanks instead of a concentrator. As for ventilation….😅 well…I’m in our drafty basement next to a window that is cracked open. Sometimes I use a fan….But I do not have a ‘proper’ ventilation system. 💫✨ Have a safe and Happy New Year! Cheers- Robin 🌹✨🌹✨

Triton is a favourite here too! It's such a gorgeous blue and the effects you can get with reduction are just glass magic. The goldstone did thin out as you said, but the sparkle is still there and the finished ornament looks great. I wonder if starting with a thicker goldstone filigrana to make the initial canes would compensate for that? I also wonder what the ornament would like like on a clear base. Now to watch you play with boro and feel special for getting 2 videos today. Big hugs from the south Robin
