    How are you able to achieve sharp focus shooting at 1.4 with two people. Wouldn’t that make one person soft? Beginner question

    • @slrlounge
      @slrlounge  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question! You can shoot at a shallow depth of field when you place your subjects next to each other and make sure they are in the same focal plane. A good way to ensure that one person isn't in front of the other is to line up their toes and keep their bodies close so that one person isn't leaning in front of the other.
      Hope that helps!

    Another amazing video Pye! I so love your work. Could you please also have a video on how to make Indian brides and grooms pose? Would love to see more of videos on making children pose too, how to take the best candid, single portrait shots...

    Great Job! what lenses were you using (500mm, 35mm, 100m?)

    • @slrlounge
      @slrlounge  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the majority of the time it was a 50mm or a 35mm :)

    You guys are always shooting at Victoria. Do you ever shoot at Twin Points south of Crescent Bay? Far better options and compositions in that little cove unless the couple specifically wants that stupid pirate tower in their shot. Also, I'm a bit surprised to see so many images of the horizon slicing through the guy's head.

      I don't believe so, this was on the Sigma Art 50 f/1.4, you can see the settings are pretty maxed out in the EXIF.

      Thanks great tut. My question is when shooting at such low aperture chances are that only one of the person is super sharp? Where do you place the focus point when photographing a couple?
