worlds most unlikely pairs: animals who have symbiotic relationships with other species of animals where they help eachother survive (like ravens and wolves)
Re: Lemmings: the Disney documentary is NOT the origin of the myth that Lemmings offed themselves. It was a long standing myth, and the documentarians went out to film it happening. When they weren't able to able to see it happen naturally (because it obviously wasnt real) they induced them to running into a river instead because they needed the footage. The documentary reinforced the myth for a whole generation of people but it wasn't the origin. I think about this every time I watch any documentary. The film makers are creating a narrative and you need to take anything you see with a grain of salt.
there was a super old video game called Lemmings, and the goal of the game was to prevent the lemmings from falling off a cliff and killing themselves.
I had that game as a kid. We knew real Lemmings didn't run off cliffs by the early 90s of course, but the myth was still remembered enough that "acting like lemmings" was a saying people would use to mean people blindingly following a crowd and putting themselves in danger. The game was more based on that saying and the creatures in the game look nothing like real lemmings.
That game was really pretty awesome! You had to create paths and steer them from point A to point B, they would just mindlessly walk in a line until they hit an obstacle and turned around, or fell into a hole. It had almost nothing to do with the animals, apart from the 'mindless followers' trope.

World's Best Chemists or World's most Combustible - Animals that use cool chemical reactions to create explosion or do other cool things like the Bombardier Beetle's Explosions or Bioluminescence seen in some animals.
Yes it’s back also love waiting for a new episode and here is some ideas World's Longest World's Sporty World's Heavy Eaters World's Best Voice (Singers) World's Best Climbers World’s Worse Hunters World’s Best Dancers World’s Deepest Sleepers
Maya and Connor! I have a moose fact! Orca whales in the Pacific Northwest are known to occasionally eat moose when they are swimming to travel, eat seaweed, etc. in the ocean (they can seal their nostrils to dive as Connor mentioned). Idk I just think that's crazy and thought this community would appreciate.Thank you for reading this cool moose fact!
Another week, another chance for a world’s busiest episode! Talk about species that have an important role in their populations as well as their ecosystem! :3
World's most ridiculous / unnecessary / over-powered - In one of the first episodes you talked about a sea snail that can kill over 50 (don't quote me, I can't remember the number) people with its sting and that it can reach around its whole body to sting. Another example is the African Boomslang (the word boomslang is Afrikaans, a direct translation is "tree snake") it is the most venomous snake in Africa. One drop of its venom can kill 500 humans or 100 cows. As someone from Africa I love seeing people talk about our amazing wildlife. Y'all have talked about a few of said species, so thank you very much. It brings a huge smile to my face every time!
Another cool fact I wish they mentioned is cheetah cubs have a fur pattern that mimics the honey badger so when they curl up predators won't mess with them.
re climbling trees: i imagine you would have to find a pretty thick tree if you're running away because i wouldn't trust anything less than a meter across to withstand a hippo just full speed running into it. No idea if that's ever happened, but I'm not gonna risk it
id love to see world most underappreciated or worlds most hated? animals that have terrible reputations (mosquitoes, wasps, snakes, rats, etc) and why theyre important and maybe clearing up any misconceptions about them
I live in Kenai Alaska and moose give birth in my yard every year. I've been charged a few times but for the most part they see me and my GF coming and going from the house so much that they know we're not a threat to them and we all keep a respectful difference. Often I've had to announce myself to them so they would clear out of the way when I'm going to work and they don't seem to mind really, they just walk off around the side of my house and keep eating the grass and fireweed. They also love to lick the pollen off of my windows when it's the right season.
The lemmings-throwing-themselves-off-cliffs used to be a huge meme in the german speaking world. In the nineties and two thousands, so like offline memes
i cant think of the title but you guys should go through all of the sensory systems, like you all did world's stinkiest but you could do an ep about crazy smelling systems (for example: star-nose mole), crazy hearing techniques, etc
I met moose in Colorado. I didn’t know how scary they were until the second half of my trip. There was a sign at Lake Estes that read “Highly Aggressive Moose. Do not approach” or something like that. I’m used to Texas whitetail deer as kinda nuance idiots. I knew moose were more dangerous, but I didn’t realize they were ANGRY

I feel old. Young people not remembering what lemmings are. Its little guys with blue clothes and green hair that do indeed walk to their death if you don't stop them.
i dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet but i think that picture of the honey badger in the middle of a circle of like four lions is either a bad edit or AI generated, if u look at the hind legs of the lion in the foreground on the right side you can see that theres something off about the picture!
The reason for Scotland having a Unicorn as their national animal is because of England and Scotland's long history, since England's national anime is a Lion, Scotland chose a Unicorn as a Unicorns natural enemy is the Lion.

love this one
Yes! Very good idea, there’s so many wacky animals that tbh I don’t know how the f they have persisted. Like horseshoe crabs.
Imagine you’re kayaking through the rivers or Norway when suddenly a Lemming leaps from a cliff, screams and explodes in your face
I was there, I can confirm, I was the lemming
As long as it doesn't scream, "Leeerooooooyyyyyyyy Jeeeeennnnnkiiiinnnnnns!!!!!!"
