I’ve been rolling on 2001 Randy Spizer thrones, but just got some 2014 Lomax classic thrones and can tell that there is a major difference in fitment. The Spizers fit perfectly, but the Lomax’ seem sort of warped. Probably due to the mold you were referencing. I had a hot spot on my right skate near the inner eyelets next to my big toe. I was able to heat up the boot in that area with a heat gun and push it out slightly. You might be able to do that with the Mesmers too. I really want to try them, but waiting for a non-pro model to come out so I can afford them.
For some reason every time I see the Bolinos I like the look a little more. Having the thrones in the day, that tumor plate has a distinct look. The way the og throne boot is attached to the sole plate, the look a lot better than the og in my opinion. I hope Messmer drops some more pro skates. We need a I Fish NY 🐟 skate.
Oh man I can't wait for mine to arrive, I pre-ordered in November and they should hopefully be arriving this month! 🤞 It's a shame about the liners, but at least they've openly said they didn't come out as they were meant to. They weren't meant to be so thick, so they added the heat molding instructions. I've also heard of a couple of people speaking to them and being sent out Second Skins so that's worth bearing in mind. For me like a lot of people I'm not planning to use the stock liner so I'm not worried about that. I love the whole aesthetic Mesmer have got going on!
If I was a Mesmer person I'd put a note up on their size chart like a month ago about the liner being a size smaller than advertised. My feet hurt badly for days after heat molding mine. I still have a right foot ache here and there and didn't even skate them, just sat in a chair. It seems somewhat silly to sell them small and then just put out a social media post telling you that if you want them to fit at the size you were sold they need repeated heat molds to make them close to that size. That is not how the other Myfit styles work. I'd imagine they'll sell them with a different liner going forward.
@@seanpellegrino2989 yeah you're right that would be the best way to do it. Tbh I find most skate products I buy have issues with quality control and I just accept it cuz that's how it's always been for me. Admittedly this is the first time the whole liner is wrong, so it's pushing it a bit. May be worth hitting them up about your situation though cuz I have heard of them giving a couple of people Second Skins to make up for the liners. Hope they work out for you!
I have the size 10 mesmers, I changed the liners to a mesmers 10.5 liner 10 boot and I heat molded the liner then put shoe trees in the for the weekend and they skates are perfect now.
Law 1: standard liners never fit right Law 2: riding flat is equal to believing flat earth theory. All seriousness though, these look like a great starting/intermediate skate., its great to see new skate companies again and i hope you all get behind and support them as much as possible!
Great review & feedback! I've had the same exact issues when I tried them stock for the first time as you've described. Swapped out the stock liner for the Danny Beer Intuition's & the Kizer Fluid V for the CG Originals frame. Also got rid of the shock absorber like you did after like 5 mins. of skating them lol. Been working absolutely perfectly for me since then & really love skating them. I'm pretty sure you will also really enjoy skating them once you've changed out the liners & frames. :)
This skate is really cool! Especially with this new designed soulplate, there is room in the shell this skates are not tight as m12s, I strongly recommend decide based on shell size and liners will definitely break in.
I used to skate thrones only and I am glad Billy brought them back, but I would not skate anything else at the moment other than my UFS Aeon with Intuition liners. I am sure a lot of other old throne heads going to pick one up for nostalgia or just as a collectible of some sort.
Another powerslide product that comes with 2 anti shock absorbers. If you have liner issues, take the shock insole out and swap it for a flat one like a 3mm footprint or thinner. But do leave the shock absorber underneath the liner otherwise known as the aeon shock absorber which is literally a footbed with a shock absorber glued to it.
From all skates your review these besides aeons have to be the smoothest landing also I think for fun they should make more models with Jon Julio and lomax colors I know there now sponsors but it’ll be cool for the market
Catching up on all these old videos I haven't watched. I still wonder if kind grinds would be easier for you if you tried them with your right soul like your mizou.
I love Billy O'Neil, but I feel like he developed a Frankenstein skate that doesn't go yet. That frame Just doesn't go with the odd SSM style soulplate. Learning that the liner isn't a good match either is a hard pass. As a side note: It's actually common to switch sizes on certain skates. On an M12, I'd have to go up to 12, but a Razors SL would be a full size down 11. The shapes are so different that you just can't trust their numbers.
@@BacktoBlading I hear you. I have wide "Flintstone feet", so that has an effect of what I can wear at what size. It's a thing. Liners and different shell sizes makes some big differences for me.
Are you going to do one of your shell size comparison videos on these? Those are actually really useful. I'm curious how the 43/44 Mesmer compares to a medium 909, because somehow I've still not gotten myself some Thems.
Hi man! Great video! Do you think I would be able to ride this boot with 90mm wheels when I am riding around the city? I really want a 2 in 1 skate if that makes sense! Or should I go for another boot? Thank you :D
I think everyone in our group had thrones at one point. I have a question for everyone if anyone has extra skates that they would donate to the cause. My apartment burned down and I lost everything. I wear a 9.5 to 10. If anyone could help please reply to this comment.
Those graffix on the bottom are the cheapest sharpee marker art I've ever seen and anyone who thinks it was worth it to put it on a skate as if it was groundbreaking makes me question other decisions they've made about anything business related with their skates. I would be asked what's wrong with me by decisions to park a 100,000 dollar car in a ghetto and expect nothing to happen.

I would love to compare the old thrones with these for fit. I’ve heard they’re very similar
so excited for this one!!! can’t wait to see what you have to say

Dang that's a good looking skate! Glad I bought them! Just need a black soul plate now!
I'm using the 50/50 58/85a on the Fluid 5 and rarely get wheel bite. 2mm smaller and a rounded profile makes a big difference.
That’s next I think. Thanks for the support!

Great Review, want to skate my buddy Sam's one of these days. Love the content!
really curious if and how you'll make these work for you
You love the flat really Lawrence, don't hold yourself back from FLAT LOVE.
Flat Love, lol
mesmer is the coolest 🌀🌀🌀🌀
@Backtoblading - Will you bring back that 50/50 halfsleeve shirt?
Would you buy one? 😀
@@BacktoBlading - Next time I order from balancedist. for sure!
I like the skates but I had to ditch the liner, ditch the frames and change out the buckle because I broke mine almost immediately.
Hahaha, so you liked the boot and soul plates
@@BacktoBlading yeah that’s a better way of putting it.

I might try that. I can actually sweatstance pretty well with my right foot but I’m scared on ledges
Thanks for the detailed first impression, really appreciated! Keep up the great work!

I’d argued that’s a problem with the M12, not expected. A 44 should fit like a 44. But yeah, with shell breaks I get why it isn’t like this.
@@BacktoBlading I hear you. I have wide "Flintstone feet", so that has an effect of what I can wear at what size. It's a thing. Liners and different shell sizes makes some big differences for me.
I would really like a pair, but I wear a size US 13. Do you know if they or if any skate companies will make larger sizes?
Hard to say, but I doubt it
My new FR UFR skates with the intuition liners are excellent and it's a size 13/14. Might be worth a shot.
I wanted to like these skates so badly. I’m such a big fan of the Mesmer brand and all the riders. I just couldn’t get them to work with my foot.
I’m gonna try the UFR Intuition next session, maybe it’ll fix my issue. Sucks they didn’t work for you though.
Myfit SPC and Second Skins work well in the Mesmer boot.

Besides the the main website do other online competitors sell the mesir
Nobody in the US unfortunately
@@BacktoBlading okay good to know looks like the site is sold out anyway 😆
Nice session still! Sucks you're having issues. I thought for sure these would turn into your go to plastic skate
Still might, boot is great. Just need to personalize it
@@BacktoBlading do what you do boss law! I'll be waiting
Do you know of any zero-drop skates with no raised heel at all?
The Tim Franken Gawds are if you remove the shock absorber
My town has a slate park but I don’t think there’s anywhere in ohio to buy skates. Where do you recommend I find some ?
Not sure there’s a shop in Ohio, but you can always mail order. Rollerwarehouse or Oak City are pretty popular
So cool but with wide feets you must avoid em imo. As I must forget about Roces.
I think Ill go for Razors DH2, SL2 red or Shima's Cult.
Still can get roces 5th element

Those frames are the best on the market... you need bullet profile wheels
Yeah, I’m gonna swap with some 58s next session. Thanks!
👍🏾
As a person with wide feet, this is sadly just another skate on the list of skates i cant use :/
Nah ….i’ll stick with my M12
Well tank god for ur review s people u got to go size up on less ya wanna play how to bake ur skates lol
They look so good, but reviews are not great.
