    The NordicTrack VR25 is a comfortable recumbent bike that is great for riders who want to sit while exercising as it features a low, step-through frame design that is easy to get on and off. This bike allows you to ride comfortably for extended periods without discomfort or fatigue so you can exercise comfortably during your favorite TV program, the news or even a movie. You can even read while sitting on the VR25.
    Some of our favorite features include:
    Recumbent Frame with StepThru™ Design
    The recumbent design allows users to exercise in a comfortable, supported position. StepThru design makes it easy to get on and off the bike. This is especially helpful for those with limited mobility or who may be recovering from an injury.
    Oversized Seat with Lumbar-Support and Easy Seat Adjustment
    One of the best features on a recumbent bike is the nice, large seat! You can pedal comfortably without tension in the lower back. With Easy Glide seat adjustment it is easy to just reach underneath the seat and slide it to the correct position. Multiple users can adjust the seat per their comfort.
    Ergonomic Pedals with Adjustable Straps
    The VR25 can be ridden with any athletic shoe. Wide pedals provide a stable foothold and the adjustable straps will keep your foot in the correct position.
    26 Digital Resistance Levels
    The 26 digital resistance levels are preset so you always get the same resistance at the same level. Other indoor cycling bikes just have a tension knob that is hard to measure and regulate. Digital resistance sets the tension the same each time, so you can moderate and calibrate your workout appropriately.
    35 On-board Workouts
    35 onboard routines for cardio, HIIT, hills, or sprints are all available. A graph display on the screen lets you know what the routine looks like, so you know when you expect an upcoming hill or interval.
    25 Lb. Inertia-Enhanced Flywheel
    The flywheel is weighted to produce enough inertia for a smooth pedal stroke. As you pedal, the force is transmitted into the flywheel which then gains speed and spins gently, so there is no jerkiness or heaviness in the pedal stroke.
    AutoBreeze™ Workout Fan
    A must have on any bike, it’s especially nice to have a fan on a recumbent bike! Since you are sitting back and down rather than upright, it can be hard to feel the breeze from fans in the room. The workout fan built into the console offers nice air flow with adjustable controls.
    OneTouch® Controls
    OneTouch controls feature presets for speed and resistance that are just a finger touch away. This makes managing your workout easy and provides several training variables.
    Integrated Tablet Holder
    The tablet holder on the console will hold most phones or tablets snugly with an adjustable clip. You can watch your device while the LCD screen keeps track of your stats.
    NordicTrack iFit® Membership Enabled
    Should you desire an iFit membership, users can subscribe online and then download the app to a compatible device. You can then select any iFit program to watch on your device in the integrated tablet holder. iFit features several programs for cardio conditioning, strength building, and recovery classes.

    Great review! All of the important points were included, with lots of great attention to detail. I really liked the fact that you stepped in and out several times, and you included touching all of the display features. This bike has a LOT of great features, and it is definitely study and high-quality. The bluetooth and device and fan features contribute to a great, music and video workout. Thank you for the excellent review! 😀

    Good review. I have had this bike for about 10 months. Out of the box I could barley move the pedals the resistance was set so high. Couldn’t wait for someone to come during COVID. Found video on line on how to adjust resistance. Had to remove pedal and crank cover and adjust a nut on a cable. After moving nut to set resistance to make level 1 the easiest everything has been fine. Have back and sciatica issues so chiropractor did not want me on a regular spin type back. I don’t like the iFit and I use the peloton digital app. It has much more to offer. The bike construction is very good.

    Could you review the new nordic track r 35 recumbent bike. How important is the upright handles on the vr 25 I see they eliminated them on the r35. I like the bigger screen but does the r 35 have a tablet holder? You give very thorough great reviews. Thank you

    Thank you for the wonderful review! I'm curious--do you have any reviews available for the NordicTrack VR21? I know they're similar in ways, but with some differences, including the VR25 having more technical perks and a higher price point. The VR21 is the model I have been considering, mainly for the reduced cost. I would love to hear your reviews on this model, if possible.

    I'm curious what the lowest resistance level is. Is it 0 or 1? Some people may need to remove all resistance when they are getting started (elderly, etc.) Also, what did you mean by digital resistance? Is there magnetic resistance also? (I am thinking about what could break to minimize points of failure.)

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should. A lot depends on the length of your legs. But the seat slides back quite a ways so it will work for both taller and shorter people.

    Mine was working great until today when I decided to get back into working out, when I turn it on it shows the icon and does it's little typical thing at start up, but after it goes to a white screen and I can't get out of the white screen. It just stays there. I unplugged it, but nothing is working. It just keeps going back to the white screen. Anyone else having this problem? How can I fix it?

    I purchased this bike used in excellent condition. I am 5.3 1/2" and cannot see the screen. Wondering how tall you are ? You seem to be in line with the screen...

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I'm about 5'5" so we're roughly the same. I can see the screen, but it's not very large. You can always place a tablet on the console, it's slightly larger and easier to see

    Ok, I have one thats a few years old. Was working fine for a while. Was NOT connected to my homes wifi. A few days ago, my wife connected it to wifi. BUT NOW the screen keeps bouncing back and forth from iFIT screen to settings screen- in a LOOP!
    I looked up this issue on GOOGLE, but they only show newer versions with a reset button (accessed w/an opened paper clip). Mine does NOT have a reset button.
    I honestly don't care if it works connected to the internet, I just want to ride and exercise.
    But, it appears that without a MANDATORY software update, I can no longer even use it for basic exercise use.
    Does ANYONE have any possible answers, clues, secrets or hints ?
    Thanks in advance.

    This bike offers a great lower body work out for someone who suffers from nerve pain in the feet. What type of upper body work out does this machine offer?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'd have to add your own upper-body component. The VR25 is designed to strengthen your lower body, improve range of motion in the hips and knees, and provide cardiovascular conditioning.

    Compré una vr25 Recumbent , y el asiento presenta un ligero juego o movimiento hacia los lados , es un defecto de fábrica?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Más probable. No hemos notado ese movimiento con nuestro VR25. Si le molesta, le recomendamos que se comunique con el soporte de Nordictrack. Debe sentirse estable y cómodo en el asiento.

    I was unclear as to whether there are videos avail to watch as you are riding vs just a google map-type of 'video'....Would a subscription to ifit allow this feature? Thanks!

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The videos in iFit are real outdoor and indoor videos. The videography in the iFit videos is impressive, although it can be a bit hard to see on the small touchscreen. If you don't use iFit, there are Google Map type videos that are just slides that update as you ride along.

    This looks like a good bike and what I'm looking for (I'm 62 with a bad back and all that). My main concern is the feel of the bike (peddling). I use a commercial Matrix R5x at the gym and the feel of that bike is very good. So with the 25lb inertia flywheel can anyone attempt to describe the feel of the bike, what is it comparable too, that sort of thing.

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good question Kenneth. In our testing and experience, the VR25 is very smooth and the 25lb flywheel is sufficiently weighted to provide a smooth pedal stroke throughout the rotation. If the flywheel is insufficiently weighted, then the pedal stroke can feel uneven and jerky. We found the VR25 to feel roughly compatible with commercial grade bikes. However, recumbent bikes at the gym are often heavier and designed for more use (several hours per day), and that is reflected in the overall feel. But, for a residential recumbent bike we are impressed with the VR25. It is nearly 200lbs, supports up to 350lbs.

    Nordictrack is garbage. My display console is no longer working, just display, all the other buttons work, and instead of replacing the display, they want me to pay the full console cost for 500$ .. First time and last time I buy something from them. Avoid this company.
