Bro, you saved my life with the ratchet strap trick! I fought that pipe for close to three hours, thought I had it, went for a test drive and I had a very strong leak. Pipe didn't come out but every time I gave it some heavy throttle I heard a strong whoooooosh of air. Came home, found your video and voila! No more leaks!

For those messing with this............with the top boot installed and connected, but loose, I spent about an hour trying to get that connection straight enough to get it pushed all of the way onto the intercooler. Scott, I tried your strap method, (genius by the way) but still could not get it to fully seat due to angle and binding. I finally removed the boot/connection from the top and the bottom connection slid right onto the intercooler and "clicked". (no binding and straight) I was then able to move a few lines around up top to get an angle and reinstall the boot. With a little effort, I was able to get everything connected. So far, so good on the install. Also, make sure you lube the sh!t out of the bottom connection with a synthetic grease.

I have had the cold side pipe sitting in a box in my garage because I was afraid of this exact thing. I have seen it happen to a couple other TH-camrs as well. I actually had meant to ask how it was holding up. The ratchet strap thing is genius, you get an A+ for improvising. Let me know how it hold up next time you take it out and give it the berries.
