- I just got a chance to try out the Palmetto State Armory AK-V in 9mm. It is a blast of a PCC to shoot and I really enjoyed shooting it. Unfortunately, I don't get to keep the gun, but I had so much fun with it that I will be buying one for myself. Watch to learn about some of the great features of this gun.
Palmetto provided me with this AK-V at no cost to review for a short time.
I have never been a PCC guy but I want one and also a suppressor, which I also never really saw a personal need for.
That's the kind of gun that you just wanna spend the whole weekend plinkin' with.
Absolutely love my AK-V, I have more fun with it than my MP5.
Just picked one up last weekend with the ODG Magpul furniture and triangle folding brace. Thing is really fun to shoot and has familiar AK controls with a few improvements. The last round bolt hold open was not something I ever think of with an AK but this has it. Cant wait to get my can’s outta jail then it’ll be really fun!!👍

Fun fact - You can buy 2 of these and a few 1000 rounds for less than the price of a HK SP5.

I already have the CZ Scorpion, or else I'd be looking at this AK-V. I appreciate your passion for guns and our 2nd Amendment. What a great world this would be if more American women had your enthusiasm for firearms!

I love my AKV. It's sporting a Holosun now, but I was getting 50 yards with the iron sights. I had to push the front sight over just a bit. It also can shoot the CZ scorpion and Manti core arms mags, but the palmetto mags are top notch. It's becoming my favorite Firearm.

i just bought mine! since i got out in the marines and back in alaska, ive been checking their website almost everyday, and finaly got it! 25 mins later it was sold out!! i got the one with the triangle brace.

Good review, did you end up purchasing one? The MOE Plum looks sharp. They are a blast to shoot! They take a while to purchase and you need to monitor the site in the afternoon 4-5 EST I believe. I really like mine in MOE Gray with a Romeo 5 optic. AK-V's were $759.99 when I purchased mine June of 2019 thankfully prior to the Covid 19 tax and now unfortunately for those who want one now I believe PSA is selling them for $859.99, when they have them in stock.

Good video on a very good looking piece. I've had my CZ scorpion evo for a few years now and I recently purchased the AR platform Brigade 9 or BM9 for $650. At $799, it's kind of costly.

I’ve thought about it a lot and I doubt I would ever buy an ak or ar in a 9mm. I like distance better but it is nice to see an affordable Ak for short encounters

I'm torn with all the pcc's. Any word on that side charger AR-9 (the one in which you did the interview at ShotShow)? I think the guy was from Manticore so i was hoping you had some inside info

Is the stock removable or replaceable?
Both? They sell it without a stock. Or you can get them with a folding AK brace or regular AR brace.
I never saw the point in a 9mm carbine. 7.62x39 is the same price per case as 9mm. Your max range is 100 meter (which in reality is 50 meters) and they are usually over priced. If just for a hobby plinker than do it! But if you buy weapons for specific purpose prob not the best choice. IMHO
It would work well for home defense. For those who are worried about over penetration. Nice and short

This was by far the least informative video ive seen abt the akv.
-You start at the brace claiming its sturdy, but all your shooting footage is with the brace closed shooting at nothing apparently
-you dont explain what is enhanced abt the Gen 2 selector lever and the changes they have made to make it more accessible with your traffic finger
-you briefly touch on the ergonomics of the gun highlighting lrbho, bolt release button, the standard ak furniture and rail on the dust cover and continue by saying its a sturdy so you dont have to worry abt re-zeroing LMAOOOO
-you dont explain that its a direct blowback system, dont talk abt the bolt carrier group or trigger or the magpul furniture or the mlok system on the hand guard
-you dont discuss its reliability, different rounds you used, how many rounds you used
-u dont talk abt the thread pitch on the muzzle break, which btw is 1/2x28, a standard thread pitch for most silencers
No offense, but if you plan on continuing, you should really try to be more than a pretty face when reviewing big potential investments for other ppl

maxinvasionleet no but your video should provide more insight than what i couldve found out with a google image search. She did a bear minimum, overview of the ergonomics of the gun.
