I recently ordered one with the SBA3, Magpul furniture, & ALG trigger. I wanted the ALG trigger since I have an AK-E which comes with the ALG and wanted them to be consistent. I took your advice and ordered an extra 10 PSA magazines. Much cheaper than Glock magazines for my AR9s. It will arrive tomorrow and I am very much looking forward to trying. Thanks for your review!
I bought one. I love it. But ya know the best thing about it is that it is made by PSA and EVERYONE reeling at that fact. They can't stand that this little upstart that they consider to be inferior to their primadonnas, is the best 9mm PCC on the market... LMAO.
@@AJ-ij4cq it’s A long time for the gun industry. The only reason I buy from PSA is because I’m forced to when proprietary stuff breaks. Many other gun stores ship within hours.
Love my PSA firearms. Never had a single issue with any of them and the price is always right. Waiting on my new AK-V to get here hopefully this week. Can't wait.
@@164jaf Palmetto state armory website. They're always out of order, so you have to check it as often as you can and jump on it as soon as you see it. They run around $800 and WELL worth it! You get a very high quality firearm with alot of great features you wont find on a normal Ak or any other AK 9mm for that matter!
One thing I would like them to do with the next gen of the AK-V would be 1913 rails on the rear for any type of stocks you can find adaptable to that feature. And hopefully, the NFA can be abolished and we can actually put a legitimate stock on it.

Well damn! I go to Discount Guns (formerly Rangemasters) as well. Maybe we will cross paths one day. I also have the PSA AK-v and KP9. Both are great guns. Love them.
@@TheArmedScotsman Well I have an American Resistance Gear AR9 thousands of rounds zero issues. Still for a guy that has some carry pistol that can't share mags with their carbine.. .this would be great. Since I carry a G19 I will stick with the AR9👍🇺🇸
I had nothing but problems with the pmag. I'm planning to get a scorpion Evo in the future so will see if they work with it. But at least in my AKV it's a no go
Yes, I didn’t even bother taking mine to the range. I bought one just to check and see if it would even fit. It was hard to get it to latch into the magwell and then it wouldn’t drop free. I’m going to just rely on the factory Scorpions and the PSA factory AK-V mags.
Mine eats everything I have, Hornady, Speer, Winchester, Remington, Fiocchi, CCI blazer brass, Steel FMJ, SIG Saur, magtech. I did have a FTF with federal HST so I'm not certain if it was the Magazine (10 round CZ) or the JHP. It was the second round and the remaining rounds fired fine. I think they were 147 grain.
Awesome weapon. However I feel it's at a hard to justify price point. $800 I can get a high quality AR and have $100 to $175 left over. At the end of the day it's still a pistol caliber. If PSA can manafcture an AR and sell it for 500ish and Ruger can make a 16in 9mm rifle with all the magpul furniture for 650 range I feel like they are gauging a little bit. Wish this was in the 600 range. Very cool weapon. Believe me I'm on the fence because of the price I want one but I don't have an AR and I can't talk myself into this instead of a rifle caliber for 800.
Honestly, I'm selling my $700 AR to buy this. I have an AK, AK pistol, and I just don't shoot my AR much and I can always find more- they're everywhere. I think I'll have way more fun with this guy and it'll serve me well for house defense. These pistol caliber 'carbines' or 'sub machine guns' (minus the full auto) are such a great in-between for under 50 yards self defense, and easier than shooting a handgun.
They just can't keep up with demand. These typically come in stock for a few hours during the week at 3pm MST just need be on the site around that time to get the one you want.

Yeah I think a lot of people have that mentality. For me PSA makes great products at a price point most of us can afford. :)
I am so glad I got the AKV. I can't wait for their version of the MP5. I bought the AKV last September and it has slowly become my favorite pistol.

The AKv is the one everyone wants to shoot. The ladies love it too because theres really no recoil.
Does the red dot stay zeroed on the rail after opening/closing?
It has for me so far. When the cover is on there 0 wiggle on mine.

Has anyone installed a Franklin Armory BFSIII AK9-C1 trigger (made for 9mm aks) in the akv or does the standard BFSIII AK-C1 trigger fit.

Any gun with a barrel shorter than 16” is a pistol, and a there’s more to that. You can’t put a stock on without a tax stamp!
