Thanks for this, was a great lesson. One thing I noticed though, the C/F/C/F split chord intro, is that the same as John Lennon's Imagine? When I learned that pretty sure it was the same! I know that Noel is/was a big Beatles fan and there is plenty of Beatles influence in their songs, but just surprised me a bit! Anyway keep up the good work 👍
Indeed, it is the same chord progression with an almost identical rhythm pattern. I'd say absolutely influenced by Imagine to an extent that is borderline eyebrow raising...I love Oasis but they are "Beatlesesque" to the point of being pretty derivative...they just do it SO well that I don't mind :)
