Hard to find words or terms for "Glide's Back In The Day Athleticism"! Brother had the sort of *Silent Assassin* approach, although you marvelled at how much ground he covered through the Air; And That Elevation, 😱 *SPECTACULAR/SCARY* ◼◼◼◼◼ Fitting nickname for one of the best Dunkers and all around players that's ever played in the NBA🛑❗
He just didn’t have the same type of Shawn Kemp, Jordan or Russell Westbrook intensity after the dunk. He was right up there with the most insane dunkers of all time. But he often just did it like it was routine. Absolutely insane the way he could attack the rack. One foot.. 2 feet.. he has some sick reverse Jams with his off hand in ways I’ve never seen another person finish in game with the off hand before.
What the hell you're looking at. He's a power dunker. He dunks harder than Jordan. He posterized Manute Bol, Mark Eaton, Patrick Ewing, and David Robinson. He also ran, leapt and dunked over players.
in ALL honesty i did do + or probably will SOMEWHAT like drexler he was elite + pls tell me who u all feel played the bulls the best in the finals between the 92 blazers 93 suns 96 sonics + 98 jazz
@@x-man9473 it's nice 2 meet u this makes sense but i refuse 2 agree cuz the 92 blazers lost game one 122-89 + lost games three five and six by a combined 27 points + they allowed jordan to score 35 something points per game
He was every bit as good as mj. He just played in Portland and didn’t get the hype. Jordan was great, and has the championships. He also had better players with him and a better coach. There were times that I saw Drexler outplay Jordan even in the Finals in 1992. Stealing the ball from Jordan in crunch time and blocking his shot. Jordan ultimately prevailed in game 6. However, if you watch that game, you will see how the blazers completely outplayed the bulls for 3 quarters. Then in the fourth quarter, the referees took over. The first 11 times the blazers had the ball, the referees made some horrible calls against the blazers, the announcers even commenting on it multiple times. From then the comeback was on. Jordan came back off the bench. At one point, he got an easy bucket when he fouled Buck Williams. He hit Williams on the arm, the ball continued going up, an obvious indication that it was a foul. Jordan grabbed the ball out of the air and scored. The referees allowed the basket as well as several others in the fourth quarter. The league wanted Jordan to win because that is who they were promoting.
T'imagines les gonzesses contre un mec comme ça même un seul dans une des deux équipes féminines elles touchent plus un ballon elles se font laminer avec leur faible niveau de jeu.
One of the most underrated player.he was so great
True. Great dunker
For real Stockton even mentioned him in his HOF speech how hard it was playing against him that's some respect
Really enjoyed watching Clyde, Terry and Jerome in the late 80s into the 90s. Thanks for putting this together!
Super UNDERRATED!! ❤️ love Clyde the Glide. Was my favorite along with Larry Bird.
Clyde "The Glide" Drexler can hold his own against the all time shooting guards.
Oh yeah
It was so awesome when he and Hakeem won the 1995 championship. Made up for that near miss in 1983 with Phi Slamma Jamma.
It's close to free throw line dunk and he did it in real game. Drexler is the true MJ's rival. so underrated
No wonder they called him "The Glide". Great collection of highlights here.
Thanks Retro Sports Gamer!
Glide was a BEAST, as I say this a a Jordan fan.
this dude used to be literally gliding 😭
Always in attack mode.Favourite player of my youth

The definition of glidding...so beautiful

MJ said he was a threat to him
Sam
You know for MJ to say that, he's giving Drex major props.....
He is the best!
Cool video!
The Glide was also mr. Elegance.
That dunk at 3:02 has to be an all time top-10 dunk.
Easy top ten. Air traffic control picked him up on radar.
Most lists have that anywhere from 1 to 5
Everybody wanted to be like Mike/Jordan me I wanted to glide like clyde

This brother should have got his own brand of shoes sold to the fans
I would love a pair of gliders
He was doing that with a shoe company called Avia which was a new startup at the time
MJ toughest opponent 😂
That flutter food jump shot is legendary.
Tha Glyde yo
Look up Clydes Phi Slama Jama dunks where he jumped over some defenders! Beast!!!
Clyde played at a high level for a full 15 year career. Was very durable too.
Kleide der Gleide!! 😘
Великий Игрок!!!!
I think Drexler was underrated and didn't get the accolades he should have got and the way I dr.jay did or Michael Jordan

The 92 Blazers. Becuase they forced the entire Bulls bench to step up just to close out the series.

Better than Jordan!
he didn’t play like this against MJ back in 92 😂
He was great but he was no MJ
No, he wasn’t. Despite his own comments about the matter in a Sport Magazine article in 1992. MJ was a class above him (and everyone else).

@@RodNubianKing ? I know that. Clyde is an all time great. Jordan was better. That’s all
