I dont know if he has used them before, I dont particularly remember but I also watch his videos while playing cities skylines so I could have easily missed the times he does.
Turn that zone into a zoo, let's explore the tourism as a motor of growth of the city instead of something to do in the end. Also: Bikes in a motorway is a horrible idea XD
Just a quick FYI: you can set your own defaults in the laning tool. Just go to your template tab and click on the star icon. It saves it per line type, so dashed, chevron, solid etc. can all get their own settings. This way you don't have to select your own dash every time which saves a lot of time in the long run. Might be worth looking into the hotkeys for it as well as I've found myself using those a lot which saves a lot of time. Beside that, it's a great video as always :)
Even though the tooltip says it directly it still took me several days before I figured out holding shift/ctrl etc. makes the lines so much quicker to draw in. The template default is awesome though I'll have to try that.

6:40, I personally find it easier to build the road backwards so it lines up with the existing road and then just reverse the direction with the upgrade tool.
The Intersection Marking Tool is growing on me. At first I thought it was too fiddly, but it kinda has to be. It's ultra detailed, but it does make quite a difference for those close-up shots :)
I love the conifer trees! Nice touch. Great video as always! Also keep in mind that the Node Controller would have allowed you to fix the entrance to the bridge rather than having to go through the exercise you showed. Next to the traffic mod, the node and marking mods round out my top three favorite mods. Of course, they've doubled the time to make anything because of the want to detail the minutia out of it! 😱😁😁😁
Biffa, that was a wild episode! 😆 You tore down those roads and built them back up like a maniac! 😆 I hope that you don't forget a road here and there! 😆 Here's hoping... 👍😏😆
Those roads are looking absolutely Realistic with intersection marking tool😍😍 Biffa you're genius but I'm can't wait to see train expansion please do it soon and do you ever thought of your face reveal, like playing game and sharing your face while playing?
Keep that area as is, dirt roads and low density. It fits the area as low income and you can always expand and do high res in other areas, or by waterfront like you've said. Its also nostalgic
18:12 finished productlooks good, it would look better if you used node controller first to increase the junction smoothness - anytime you are joining different types of roads, particularly different sized roads, this is the key to making them look normal. You missed it on the highway to the main road connection at the first step in the rebuilding process too. Personally I also prefer the solid filler when theres a median to a median and no crossover traffic, but thats just a personal taste. Love your content always, thanks for putting it out there for our enjoyment
This roundabout and highway really look beautiful! Thanks for all your videos, Biffa! I started CS a couple of weeks ago and found your channel while looking for some beginner's guides. But watching you building up your towns is just so much more than a simple guide. And I really enjoy listening to you cause it's also so much fun :D Keep it up and thanks for all your work!!
Love the new road details. I don't mind if you take longer in them because I watch your videos to help settle down for the night and they are very relaxing. I have an idea for you. Its like your traffic fixes, but you start with a failed premade city with the real time mod to add rush hours and try to revive and grow it. Kinds like your modern city planner that's trying to fix established highways without remodeling the whole city. Minimally invasive as possible.
Some advice from an Oklahoman on what to do about that starting section: You can of course leave it that way, as a very underdeveloped area, or you can upgrade it. However, if you upgrade it, you'll need to 1) remove some housing & commercial from the area & 2) loose population which might not come back to other areas. So, my suggestion is to use a combination of dirt roads on the outer sections and some two lane roads along the side nearer the nicer neighborhoods and maybe add a section of industry nearer to the highway (you'll have to remove and/or make historical the ones you do/don't want). Or you can make it a combination downtown office & shopping area that is a bit more densely packed than the other areas. Also you could do this and add some old town city center historic feel (look up Oklahoma City's Bricktown or San Antonio's Riverwalk) to attract tourist. Just a few suggestions. ;)
Hi Biffa! Love the video as always! I have a suggestion for the bike lanes. In my city I used a green filler with the Intersection Marking Tool to connect up the gaps the game leaves in bike lanes on junctions, and it looks great! I'd love to see that done in this city too :)
Biffa when you have a road splitting into two one way roads to get onto a roundabout (20:53), try downgrading the middle section on the roundabout, sort of like how you did with the intersection marking tool in the last episode, where you have a dedicated lane that only goes off.
Loving the series. One thought I had was if you had sunken the highway as opposed to elevate then you could maintain the grassy median you liked so much
The old starting area would be nice with some high density residential buildings. I’d like to see the high tech housing for something different too, but that may be just me. Also lovely new highway, always nice to see a new Biffa video to watch before bed, lol.
I play on console. Sometimes, I resent not getting some of the mods PC users can have. Sometimes, I think I'm glad because it forces you to come up with a more creative (and in my opinion, better) solution. The junction at 6:20, you can just lay down two mirrored roads heading in the same direction instead of alternate directions - that way you get a far smoother, more aesthetic layout without relying on mods to adjust and fiddle things about. Lay the first road with the curved tool, then do the same for the other road before changing direction. Edit: also your on and offramps for the highway-roundabout are janky as heck (see 11:28) because there's a node in the middle of them. Just rebuild the road without the node and it'll flow much better. The game goes for the shortest possible slope, so you end up with the road split in the middle - one low level bit and one sloped bit. Instead of using mods, build the road in the other direction and flip it - that should remove the middle node.
Hi Biffa! Just wanted to say I absolutely love your videos! I find them very soothing to the soul 😊 I've tried to start a city several times, but it always ends up a mess 😂 now that you've started Teaport, I'm going to follow along to your videos and build my city following your instructions! Just need to get myself all the expansions, then install all the mods you use and I should hopefully be able to build a half decent city! Wish me luck! 😅
I think the old/new area could be an expansion of your tourist/leisure area with an amusement park, museums, city park (Central Park or lungs of the city). You already have the tram lines there. I thought we’d see more use of the node controller mod in this, you could use them on the tram lines too so they are more of a sweeping turn than the 90 degree turn. I laughed a lot during this one Biffa 😁👍
For that first area, there's a nifty 'slums' theme on the workshop. It's not as grim as it sounds and the grafitti is a nice touch. Call it Brewtal. Maybe you can use the intersection marking tool to draw some murder scene chalk outlines.
Biffa: Liked the episode. One suggestion. Why not try a DLR style solution to the trams crossing the roundabout. Firstly lower the grassy area at the centre of the roundabout so it is low enough for the trams to pass under the roads. then place a tram stop in the middle. Finally link footpaths/cycle-lanes through underpasses to the two side roads. See Beckton Park or Cyprus stops on the Beckton line for inspiration.
Thanks for the video Biffa. But please keep the LOW DENSITY housing. Having high rise building everywhere feels oppressing. Why not expanding by low density over larger areas rather than always craming people in.
I think the detailing is amazing. It gives the city a bit extra "spice". The two new mods are like a new toy, use them with joy. I like to see the process and all the fiddeling😉 Oh and don't forget, that you can use the node controller on the tram t-junctions too (to smooth them out a bit). Suggestion Change the roads in the starter area to small city roads and make it high density. But don't change the road layout completely, it will show you the history of the founders/ old city... like in real life.
I watch these videos when I can’t sleep, as I find it very relaxing! Some earphones and Biffa videos got me through some noisy nights on the hospital ward. Thank you!

The supports are meant to be on the other side from the river so theres always an unobstructed view of the river, the supports should be on the entrance side, and the entrance side irl is on the other side from the river
Thank the Gods for Biffa. For some reason my save games corrupt after I hit 30,000 population no matter if I go vanilla or add mods, so I ended up giving up on the game. This way I can still get that Cities Skylines fix in.
@@oilersboy2532 Yes I am, and I think that's what the original comment was referring to as well. In terms of city infrastructure both terms can be used somewhat interchangably.
Also just from a game perspective, it may be easier to route the single roadway than the separated highway through denser areas, I wish the highway to 6 lane transitions (in game) were a bit better though.
Relaying this communication from Teaport: Mr. Mayor, In reference to your recent construction initiative, I have the following feedback: 1. Have the two highway on-ramps merge into the right hand lane of the highway rather than both the highway and the center lane. There's likely to be more traffic coming from the highway than the on-ramp, so it makes sense not to block it. 2. The poor part of town (where I presently reside) should remain low density, as this is part of the charm of our neighborhood. However, my fellow citizens can not abide by the dirt roads, which turn to sludge whenever it rains. Please replace them with proper asphalt! 3. My fellow citizens are likewise annoyed that you have not yet purchased the parcel of land next to ours. We request that you purchase it immediately so you no longer need to avoid purchasing it. Sincerely, Snidley Purplebottoms III.

Yes, and it 'blocks' the sound and prevents an ugly view from the neighbourhood
Also, stops the pollution cloud flowing many houses deep into surrounding areas.
He should have done it M4/A4 Chiswick Flyover style with the elevated road in the middle and the older, ground-level road on the sides! This maintains the old connections! The bike lanes should be on the ground-level roads! Also, 80km/h speed limits are realistic for urban highways!

Gotta say, I'm loving the music. Also the custom markings make things look great.
Although it was almost just a throw away comment at the end, the addition of the conifer trees totally transformed that area. I'm glad to see my suggestion of using many different kinds of trees and adding in pine trees didn't fall on deaf ears. Well done Biffa! Just add some of Greyflame's rocks (from the workshop) and some bushes, and you should be good to go!
hope those cyclist have been training ! drink lots of Tea boys, today we PEDAL! (100 "mph/kph/whateva")
Best way to start my Saturday is to get a notification from Biffa!!! As a cyclist, I love the how Teaport is very bike friendly!
That junction is proper banging mind, I just don't have the patience to fiddle about with all those lines like you! Another great vid XD
YES! Biffa is using double layer roundabouts! I use them frequently in my city and I love how Biffa uses his. My main road is on the ground and the roundabout is in the air but honestly the road in the air looks so much better. I dont know if he has used them before, I dont particularly remember but I also watch his videos while playing cities skylines so I could have easily missed the times he does.
I tend to switch between up or down versions 👍
Brilliant. Loving that you kept the walking paths separate from the roadways still. Love the paths, And the tramlines separated as well.
Extremely satisfying to watch cars follow the lines. Could do with a in car view through it all.
Hey that bit of land with the dirt roads kinda fits tbh. Besides, it'll always be there remind you gow the city started.
Enjoy your weekend !

6:40, I personally find it easier to build the road backwards so it lines up with the existing road and then just reverse the direction with the upgrade tool.
Yay new episode! Let me get some tea and settle in!
Amazing skills at using those fine tuning mods and awesome design, impressive !
This looks like this is going to be an exciting video, ive been waiting for you to do this ! :)
I love the intersections! They are my favorite part of the series. Keep it up! They look great!
Finallyyyyy, I've been waiting for this🥰❤️❤️❤️
Love from 🇵🇭
This roundabout and highway really look beautiful!
Thanks for all your videos, Biffa!
I started CS a couple of weeks ago and found your channel while looking for some beginner's guides. But watching you building up your towns is just so much more than a simple guide. And I really enjoy listening to you cause it's also so much fun :D
Keep it up and thanks for all your work!!
Biffa im a big fan and have been watching since Teatroit,
keep up the good work.
"Hold on to your... hamburgers." - Biffa 2020
Was about to go to sleep but biffa comes first 😁
Some advice from an Oklahoman on what to do about that starting section: You can of course leave it that way, as a very underdeveloped area, or you can upgrade it.
Nice idea 👍
Biffa when you have a road splitting into two one way roads to get onto a roundabout (20:53), try downgrading the middle section on the roundabout, sort of like how you did with the intersection marking tool in the last episode, where you have a dedicated lane that only goes off.
You need to raise that bridge over the roundabout, the tram smashes straight into it
Loving the series. One thought I had was if you had sunken the highway as opposed to elevate then you could maintain the grassy median you liked so much
This shot looks really cool as it goes over the centre of the junction! 💜
Looks like a public transport logo I’ve seen in Europe :)
The old starting area would be nice with some high density residential buildings. I’d like to see the high tech housing for something different too, but that may be just me.
Also lovely new highway, always nice to see a new Biffa video to watch before bed, lol.
Your knowledge of this game is just superb, I can watch your videos all day. 5/5
Thank you Spartanll7x :-)
I went from that's looks awful at 15m to that looks really good at 18m. Great effort Biffa.
Love the way you do the roads.
17:15
Nice tip! Didn't know that, but very useful!
Oh boy you don't know how much I'm waiting for these episodes it's like a drug
Biffa: Liked the episode. One suggestion. Why not try a DLR style solution to the trams crossing the roundabout. Firstly lower the grassy area at the centre of the roundabout so it is low enough for the trams to pass under the roads. then place a tram stop in the middle. Finally link footpaths/cycle-lanes through underpasses to the two side roads. See Beckton Park or Cyprus stops on the Beckton line for inspiration.
The days topspot: new upload from biffa
I love the look at the end
It looks like so much work!
That was a massive rebuild. Great result. And love t h at you're sticking to the IMT. ☺️
This is such a fun channel. Keep up the fun work, much appreciated.
I like to see the process and all the fiddeling😉
Oh and don't forget, that you can use the node controller on the tram t-junctions too (to smooth them out a bit).
Suggestion
Change the roads in the starter area to small city roads and make it high density. But don't change the road layout completely, it will show you the history of the founders/ old city... like in real life.
I love having my breakfast with Biffa
Its 12pm!
pirtatejoe while I’m supposed to be in bed
*I love having lunch with Biffa*
It's lunch time here in the UK. 👍🇬🇧😎
I wake up and this is the first thing I see ❤️
A great weekend indeed!
That tram at 1:56 wanted to pull of a snowpiercer move. :D
Thanks for all your videos! I don't even play the game, but I've watched most of your videos and enjoyed all of them!
Love the intersection, keep up with the good work
Been waiting for Biffa to place a propper highway
Loving the line painting!
I'd spend all day doing that im sure.
I watch these videos when I can’t sleep, as I find it very relaxing! Some earphones and Biffa videos got me through some noisy nights on the hospital ward. Thank you!
You're welcome :-)
What a delightful and tasty episode, Mr. Biffa!
First: Sip of tea before you read this comment
Biffa: Ok i think i need to add connecting roads to this roundabout
Roundabout: BRACE BRACE BRACE FOR IMPACT, HEADS DOWN, STAY DOWN
Edit: Im a londoner here and i live in sight of the eye, you had it the right way before! The supports are meant to be on the other side from the river so theres always an unobstructed view of the river, the supports should be on the entrance side, and the entrance side irl is on the other side from the river
Every time I watch a video makes me wanna play the game lol. Looks great!
Thank the Gods for Biffa. For some reason my save games corrupt after I hit 30,000 population no matter if I go vanilla or add mods, so I ended up giving up on the game. This way I can still get that Cities Skylines fix in.
Just binged and caught up on this series 😅
Man I can't wait for those dirt roads to get upgraded!
"You know me and my memory." No, sorry, I forget.
Nice Biffa, get some pedestrian crossings in! ;)
I thought he wanted to do it as a highway, and then puts in just a normal road with multiple lanes and also bikelane in there...
Highway and road is the samething, people just think Highway is a fast road when really there are the same.
@@oilersboy2532 They are not the same. They don't have intersections, traffic lights, roundabouts, walkways - or bicycle lanes for that matter.
@@argh1989 you are talking about a freeway
@@oilersboy2532 Yes I am, and I think that's what the original comment was referring to as well. In terms of city infrastructure both terms can be used somewhat interchangably.
Also just from a game perspective, it may be easier to route the single roadway than the separated highway through denser areas, I wish the highway to 6 lane transitions (in game) were a bit better though.
Only Biffa can make watching traffic interesting.
Relaying this communication from Teaport:
Mr. Mayor,
In reference to your recent construction initiative, I have the following feedback:
Sincerely,
Snidley Purplebottoms III.
This mod is so nice!
Also really love the pines at the sides of the highway.
Every time you say you need to finish the episode i become sad :(
Yes another episode love these videos!! Premium content right here #thebestyoutuber!
