Thank you! 🌸 I put a table with house plant cuttings that I rooted and potted up out by the road with a sign FREE PLANTS for the 4th time this summer. All the plants usually are gone by dark, people always are so appreciative and my house plants love the ‘hair cut’. I’ll have more by mid October to go out and I pot them up in recycled glass jars or recycled plastic containers so people only need to buy a pretty planter to pop them into at home. 😃
I mailed some cuttings from my fifty year old Angel Wing Begonia from Kansas to California to a Facebook friend who wanted some. The plant survived through shared cuttings all these years. I've given so many away. I bet it is smiling at all it's progeny spread all over 3 states!
this is my husband's channel, but the progress of your dream really makes me want to go out and plant some seeds or up-pot or something. but i'm stuck in the house doing continuing education credits for my dream. lol thank you so much for sharing stuff like this. :) ...(hours later) i just now realized how 'this is my husband's channel" sounds. i'm using his account is what i should've said. lol
Bless your heart Jill. You look so tired in this video at the beginning. Still keeping you close in prayer my sweetheart. Much love to your beautiful family.
Northlawn Flower Farm and Muddy Acres Flower Farm also have great information on how to sell flowers. One starts from seed, grows in her landscape and has a small stand. The other buys starts, has a big operation and does subscriptions. Yours is right in the middle! Perfect for the back yard veggie gardener. Good job Jill! Glad you’re feeling better!
Wow those are pretty. I've never been interested in dahlias before . I'm rethinking my flower needs. Lol Maybe you should grow some and just put you a little stand and sell from it. I'd buy a few if you were closer. I live in the sw corner of Arkansas
Jill this is such a great video. It looks like you delivered about 2 buckets? What price will you get for all of those? Is there a lot of competition between other flower farmers? Is it difficult to find a buyer in a small community or are they usually open to a variety of flowers from different growers? I would love to get into this business. I am already on the market for property :)
Jill it seems some of your comments are either insensitive or they’re bots. I love what you’re doing! You’re managing a tremendous amount these days! Still praying 🤟❤️
Priorities! Coffee first! Dahlias -> absolutely beautiful! And, by the way, your sourdough looks fabulous (last video). You should sell that too! ...and some with cinnamon and raisins. Yum! Love your channel!
When you’re taking the bucket of flowers to the florist, is there water in the bucket of flowers? Also just wondering how to price the stems. Thank you ♥️
I would love to know what you sell your flowers for to get an idea of what to charge!♡ Also wanted to say many prayers for you!♡ I to am dealing with some health issues and I know it can be tough!
Jill, I live in Arkadelphia, AR. So I am very interested in following your gardening recommendations! This is just my 2nd year gardening and I planted my first dahlia tuber this spring-- I have a gigantic plant that also fell over to spite my best efforts to keep her upright. I am still waiting for her to bloom, although she has quite a few buds about to open! I would be so interested in buying a collection of dahlia tubers from you once you determine the best varieties for the south. Great idea!! Thanks for the info--keep it coming!!
Kati, you are rude! She said she communicated with the people she sells those flowers to, about their needs, the flowers are beautiful now, and will bloom out even more in the days to come. If you have nothing good to say, keep your comments to yourself!
Thank you for the flower tips! I haven't ventured into making money from my homestead yet but flowers would be a good one.
I used to live near a small farm that sold cut-your-own-flowers by the pound.
That's a great idea

Great questions. Yes there is water in the bucket, and the stems are dependent on the variety and your market
Love this! Thank you for taking us along ❤️
O my gosh!! I hope you went back and closed your front door!!!

Have you tried zinnias? They are as beautiful as dahlias but with better stems
We grow hundreds of them
What kinds of cut flowers do you recommend?
Start simple with only a few varieties and ask your local florists what their needs are
👍🏻💙💐🌿✂️

Hey neighbor to the south. When I get it figured out, they will be available
This is an ad for ze kooffie machine. Who buys her flowers with those short stems?
Why is she so stressed? Maybe more farm helpers are needed?
I would
A bouquet making group is buying them, that’s who

Another unnecessary rude comment Kati and you are gone 🤷♂️
Jill not stressed just her personality. Love Jill God Bless yall
