What a blessing for E to have parents who care so much about nutrition and growing organically. I pray that her body can continue to heal with all of the amazing care she is receiving from her parents and the medical community. I am so glad you are able to pivot and focus on what matters most. Thank you for the tip on handling tulip bulbs.
I will continue to pray for your precious little girl and I had tears of joy when hearing your update. I look forward to more videos on the business end of cut flowers. I ordered two of the three new varieties of zinnias from Johnny's seeds along with a few other varieties I missed out on in my last order. Cutting back to focus on your little one makes terrific sense and I am sure the wholesale end of your business will return when the dust has settled. Love your videos! Take care and God bless!
OMG! I'm so sorry to hear that. My heart broke when I saw this VDO. Your VDOs are always an excellent resource and very informative. I wish you and your family the best and a speedy recovery through this journey for E. Please take care of yourself, too.🫂🫂🫂💗💗💗
I've also had to make the decision to scale back this upcoming season just when I was planning on ramping things up. Expecting our 2nd child in Feb/March and it just wouldn't be practical to try and do a farmer's market next year. I'm excited to follow along with you and get tips for doing this on a super small scale! Thanks for sharing your journey, and so happy to hear the good news about E. Sending love!
E is in my prayers every day. I'm so happy to see how quickly she bounced back from the surgery, and I hope you enjoy the holidays with her. She's at such a fun age, it makes it all extra special. ❤
Always good information! So happy for E's recent success with surgery. I have been praying for you all. I will continue to pray for you &Eric. I will continue to pray for E to tolerate chemo, have a speedy recovery and especially that there will be no microscopic cancer! I pray also this holiday season brings you all much joy and peace as you spend time with your beautiful daughter.
Your life has taken a different path. You seem to be able to make the changes necessary to accommodate the life you are experiencing now. You understand it’s not all about you. Many can’t make that turn. I remember just putting my life on hold for my son who was diagnosed with a chronic illness. We all look for stabilization so we can move foward. You are doing a great job and my hope is that your future is cancer free and healthy.
Regarding your concern around tulips, you may want to research Aspergillus resistance and tulips. The bulbs are treated with fungicides; when you handle the bulbs (even when you visit tulip festivals) and are exposed to the fungicide, that increases the risk of developing fungicide resistance (similar to antibiotic resistance). Then if you develop aspergillus (which can be found in compost), a fungal lung infection, it can be untreatable.
Amazing to hear about the margins and preservation of the nerve. I was asking Jesus for those intentions for you. I’ll continue to pray for her continued care and healing.
If radiation ever does come into play, make sure to research about proton radiation. Our son had it and it did far less damage to his body. There are very few radiation centers which do it and insurance doesn’t like to pay for it, but that’s what appeals are for. Our tumor board initially rejected the plan, but we said that we were doing it anyway in another state and they eventually got on board.
Praying for you and your family! ❤ Thank you for this video. I was worried I crowded and over watered my tulip bulbs. This let's me know they'll be fine
I heard that planting them to early can also contribute to tulip fire. I would LOVE to know how you set up selling at the country store and what that looks like in the form of payments and such.
Hi Jessie. Super helpful to hear your tips on tulips. Would sand work on top of the tulips, then the leaves? Prayers for E. Thank you for sharing. I admire your choice to change directions and focusing on growing organic foods. Emotional to see her walking and getting better! God Bless.
I think of E often and keep her in my prayers. I am starting to grow microgreens in my home as a way to have extra green nutrition in our diet. In your research have you come across benefits of microgreens? Brocolli is my main crop.
Fantastic news re: clear margins. Continued prayers for your family.

I read temperature has a part in tulip fire. Planting when temperature is above 55*.
