I recommend always maxing the steering sensitivity, as it lets you react faster to avoid cops, traffic, other racers, and anything else that might get in your way.
With max your 400 plus your cars will actually slow down when your on max which I’ve learned from experience because they will start to drift a little bit when your turning slightly
Hey, I found something interesting with the drift style. Did you notice that when using Brake drift style, you can still initiate a drift by letting go and hitting the gas? This means you either can choose to exclusively use the Gas drift style... or BOTH Brake and Gas. Strange, isn't it?
I owned the 2006 WRX STI both tuned and untuned.. When driving this car at speed which is far less than what you can achieve in game with the Boxer engine.. also try handbrake turns.. They work insanely well with the real car.
This video help me out a bunch, not so much in live tuning, but with an issue I'm having with cars that won't turn(r8, I'm looking at you!). Btw - love your build videos, it's my goto on every car. Thanks for doing this
i usually go to the racetrack, run laps on the inner ring without nitrous and set my downforce to full and then see if i lose traction in the back. if i don't lose traction i turn up steering sensitivity until i lose traction, staying with my setting just barely below losing traction in realistic cornering speed. if i already lose traction after setting downforce to full i put steering sensitivity down. and if i can still have traction with full steering sensitivity i lower the downforce just below where i would lose it. thats a pretty safe way to set it up. its also where you can test whether race or track tires are better for your car. the less downforce you need for your tires, the better suited your tires are for the setup.
What causes the car to over turn after drifting tight turns and then over correcting causing me to play this dancing with the stars left right left mini game getting the car under control and driving straight again? I'm new to the game.

Tuning while racing is like what f1 drivers do. Usually they have to adjust brake bias settings and differential settings while entering the corner in order to go as fast as possible.
when you do a "you're using the wrong build" on the gt3 rs, please use it with maxed high steering sensitivity, maxed high downforce, traction control on and gas to drift for grip, it becomes so angelic to drive, and hits corners so well
just bought a mclaren F1...before you make the "you are using the wrong build" video of it...and reached level 50...now the grind is for the ultimate parts
I love the "live tuning" function in this game. As you said, it is not intuitive, especially at high speeds. But, it is worth taking the time to gain some familiarity with it as I have used it to change the manuverability of drift buids during police chases to improve my handling and gain an escape in the process.
Question, how do you know what parts are for each type of build? I just started playing yesterday and just bought my first car after getting to R 18 with my Nissan 180. Idk what parts I need to buy for my new car to be built for the tracks I'm racing on at this rep level. My Nissan is built with same parts he used on his lvl 1-11 rep grind video Pro+/Pro parts, but I'm wanting to get my new car upgraded before I start racing with it. Idk what to get for it this early in the game, his build video for it has high level parts.

Thank you so much for the tuning because I got a Lamborghini does papa wheelies every time I use nitrous or a starting point do not use drag tires and thank you for the Settings
Also had to add, I also do that to all my rides with the boosting steer and drop downforce all the way cus you usually end up drifting through the tight turns at higher speeds, usually 10mph faster on the rides I use.
am I the only person who realizes you can still do gas to drift when your drift style is set to "brake"? setting it to "brake" just gives you the option of braking to drift too, and can be really helpful when trying to get the back end out and it just won't drift, with brake sometimes you just need to hold the brake a little longer, which doesn't work with gas.
@@bananasplit2490 always set it to brake since it allows you to do both. Which one you actually use comes down to the car, the corner, and your personal preference. I find myself instinctively using brake most corners, but I sometimes use gas on long wide turns when I don't want to lose speed.
also could you possibly do a video with the 65 stang vs the boss ? like how each one does better at one thing kinda? if not its ok but keep up the awesome work
In your new rsr video, you mentioned the downforce again, specifically to put it on low for the dragrace-setup. wouldnt making it "sticky" (aka put it on hight) benefit acceleration? if not, what is the reason to put it on low for dragracing?
The extra downforce also adds drag, which lowers your max speed and quarter mile time. The only thing downforce helps with is taking corners without sliding if you want more of a grip build.
i made two of my cars the same way yes they handle of course a little different but are like very good and it's kinda a hybrid build the live tuning i have made for drifting with drift tires, track suspension and track differential and they both feel really good and also kinda the same
People. First off. Dont look at these videos for the best build out there. Build to YOUR driving style. I drive a Nissan 180 type X with the 2.9L V6. Track suspension. Track tires. Showcase diff. And its the most OP build ive got. Aside from hyper cars. I chose the 180 Sx at the start of the game and as I progressed, I upgraded the car. Im an agressive driver. If I'm not in first, I'm fighting for it. Drifting corners, balls to the wall... Basically. No 2 racers are alike. They all have found what works for them. Test and try things out. If you arent winning races, try something new. A shorter gear ratio. Different differentials. In Arcade games like Need For Speed heat, who needs racing lines when you can be agressive af... Ripping the E brake around turns and Nos on higher gear acceleration.
I love your enthusiasm and I agree do what you feel the most comfortable with however if you want to be the fastest with the cars, the correct engine, chassis and drivetrain parts need to be equipped. Being aggressive is fine but racing lines in this game 100% matter. I recommend you check out the world record runs listed here and then try to attempt one using your style of driving. I think you will be enlightened a little. (none of this is meant to be rude btw) just facts. happy racing.

Always loved this game but after learning some tips from your channel I really really love this game. I fully appreciate your extensive testing that it took to make the videos.
LOVE YOUR VIDs, ...but this one ain't good testing imo XD You changed 2 variables on the fly and attributed results according to feel/perception (greatly influenced by placebo, as I believe we all know ;) ) Here's the results from my testings: Always GAS to Drift imo, this allows braking around corners without drifting, and a more controlled grip feel - always had better results with GAS to Drift, and spent most of the game playing in BRAKE to Drift ; the change brought clear improvements. While I can totally agree it may come down to 'preference', there are huge benefits from always running the highest steering sensitivity ( = more turning with less 'work' of the steering joystick), which provides clear advantages, in any situation ; sure we may need to adjust, but ultimately there's a clear benefit. As for downforce, it could also be summed up to 'preference', but after testing extensively over 100 cars in the game - changing 1 variable at the time ; going to detail of testing each engine with each possible gearbox combination - I found out that highest downforce will grant you a better lap time when racing. Only in a few, very high-speed focused races (Sonic, J. Storm, etc) would low downforce be competitive, as it would give you back the time lost on turns on the straightaways. This is because, the more downforce you have the more your car wants to grip, meaning that when turning your car will grip sooner and make you follow the road. On the other side, less downforce means less grip, and every inch going to side is a inch less going forward - although NFS is very far from being a simulator like Assetto Corsa or IRacing, and still far from being a simcade imo, these basic knowledge physics still seem to apply across all cars. As for Drag and Drifting, while steering sensitivity still gives you a clear advantage, here we need low downforce to allow faster motion (around the corner or in a straight line) through 'less weight' ; which is of course obvious ;) Side note: I do all my testing without NOS for the 'realest' car (chassis)/engine/gearbox performance - test for yourself and you'll find out that in some cars, having the speedcross suspension and differential will give you a better 0-60 despite Track parts being better for the 0-200 (1/4 mile) ; Attention, these numbers (0-60 and 1/4 mile) in NFS aren't as relevant as you may think, because they're just not accurate at all - and while these numbers may make you believe that the Beetle is the fastest drag car in the game, I can, without any doubts, tell you that the Chevrolet Bel Air, amongst many others, is a lot faster Drag Car than the Beetle (even at highest performing engine/gearbox) ; again, in Drag 0-60 isn't as relevant as 0-200, which the game doesn't show us, and we have to test for ourselves.. Keep up the vids on the "Wrong Engine" - LOVE THEM !!! (try perhaps different gearboxes too XD)
Thanks for the support! I appreciate the feedback! This really wasn't a test as much as it was me setting up the car to my liking which is all about feel and preference. I'm sure there's a perfect way to setup this car but what you saw in the video is how I want the car to handle. Thanks again! Happy Gaming!
I'm late to the party but I agree with gas to drift on 90 percent of cars but for cars like the fxxk I use break to drift because it doesn't turn at high speeds so it slows the speed just a little and gets sideways at the same time
Hey man very helpful Video I just had a quick question which engine is in ur Subaru I’m still trying to figure out which one will give me the best exceleration and best speed
Does changing the drift style actually affect what's needed to get your car to drift? I switched pretty much all of my cars to drift style brakes, but I found sometimes I could still easily initiate a drift by just letting off the gas.
Idk if you'll see this on such an old video but me and a friend just got into the game with the huge sale, I think the game has a LOT of quality of life problems. I'm a PC player and there's no mouse support on a PC port lol what? Anyway, can you do an in depth performance part / upgrade guide for like general "how it works" stuff? I remember playing NFS world a ton and I never EVER understood the upgrade system in that game, I was always using the top tier parts and had way higher ratings than other cars etc and I always fell short. Then I learned there was some insanely convoluted color coding system to go along with the stats, so would you be willing to go through stuff like that for this game?
@@MariusB86 Same, I also have TKL. I just use one of my old ones just for the numpad. I have a bunch of extras for every accessories because I don't throw away stuff that easily. just bought NFS heat deluxe from the Steam summer sale and the only thing I really hate about the game is using the gas to start a drift, it should always be tapping handbrake. I find myself easing up on the gas to change lanes to pass and when I press the gas while passing the car goes into a slide and slams into the car I was trying to pass. I didn't know you could change that setting till now, thanks for the info.
Quick question, on every video i see the live tunings have drift style but i dont, i have brake bias how can i find drift style in my live runing? I hope you can help me out on this one
Drift Style pertains to personal preference - Brake is THE BEST because the game forgets to turn off the Gas brake style when using it. You may need to update your game to see the changes.
Trigger love the vids - What if you have a car like the Z06 or the Cayman GT4 that under-steers like crazy even with the down-force all the way down and the steering sensitivity all the way up? Any other parts changes that can help it to turn?
Well you can switch to showcase tires but then you will for sure need to increase your downforce to get it just right. Understeer in this game is also a function of the car’s turning radius. That turning radius is not adjustable so if you have a car that handles badly, you’re always going to have a car that handles somewhat worse than the cars that naturally handle really well.
Yey man, I have been watching your videos and I need your help, I finished the story of the game and now I want to do some off road racing but I can't build a car for off road, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks for watching my stuff!! I honestly love the STIs for offroad in this game. The Hatchback is great and will win you a lot of races. Depending on the difficulty you shouldn't have any problems winning against the AI!

Hey man very helpful Video I just had a quick question which engine is in ur Subaru I’m still trying to figure out which one will give me the best exceleration and best speed
love ur vods
I subscribed cause you thank us and your content seems pretty dope
I appreciate that!
Does changing the drift style actually affect what's needed to get your car to drift?
I switched pretty much all of my cars to drift style brakes, but I found sometimes I could still easily initiate a drift by just letting off the gas.
From what ive seen, drift style brakes makes it so you can still drift with the gas, but can also start a drift with the brakes
Then I learned there was some insanely convoluted color coding system to go along with the stats, so would you be willing to go through stuff like that for this game?
how can i enter thw live tunning with keyboard?
how to get this live tuning option on PC?
I don't know that question is for here, but I can't find with which button I can open the LIVE TUNING on PC ...
just press button no 6.
@@gulakapas1781 doesn’t work for me
@@Danielxperez14 Numpad 6
@@cyanoxile i have TKL...no numpad what now?! :(
@@MariusB86 Same, I also have TKL. I just use one of my old ones just for the numpad. I have a bunch of extras for every accessories because I don't throw away stuff that easily. Always comes in handy. If you don't have another keyboard, just buy a numpad for dirt cheap, or program a script which converts other keys to numpad.
Im new to this thanks a lot man i subbed and liked
Thanks for the sub!
Amazing video. I loved it, but I have one question. Can the information in this video translate to nfs payback? Or is is completely different?
I honestly dont know. I didnt play payback
I’d just say delete payback and get nfs heat cuz in comparison heat is so much better
On your money challenges, does the platform 'have' to be an Xbox or can you also do PS4? E.G different platforms?
You can join no matter the platform
In what LVL are you in this Video?
And can you fix a video whith Good Polstar cop Killer ?
😀 Tanxs for video
Very good guide
Does the engine matter with turning?
im having trouble with deadzone.. im using ps4 controller.. what is a prefered setting?
Trigger can you please tell mee how to improve my Subaru impreza WRX STI because I have elite but it's only level 290
just bought NFS heat deluxe from the Steam summer sale and the only thing I really hate about the game is using the gas to start a drift, it should always be tapping handbrake. I find myself easing up on the gas to change lanes to pass and when I press the gas while passing the car goes into a slide and slams into the car I was trying to pass. I didn't know you could change that setting till now, thanks for the info.
Awesome glad to help!
Need for speed hot pursuit has better drifting
Ty for your help
Can anyone tell the best live tuning for koenigsegg regera and Ferrari fxx k evo?
For me the Hawkeye best live tuning is maxed out sensitivity and 1 from the right of low downforce
How does he get them blue things on his car?
That xbox noti got me i looked up so fast lmao
What's the best engine for the impreza wrx sti 06.
Found it, thank you
if you had to pick a corvette to tune up which zr1 or grand tour
Grand sport
have you done a video on the muscle cars?
Not yet
Quick question, on every video i see the live tunings have drift style but i dont, i have brake bias how can i find drift style in my live runing? I hope you can help me out on this one
Drift Style pertains to personal preference - Brake is THE BEST because the game forgets to turn off the Gas brake style when using it.
You may need to update your game to see the changes.
Hey trigger I have a question is 3.00.75 a good time for an rsr just with elite parts
Can you please suggest a specific engine because I don't know much and I am lost
@@panguss2315 Use the 4.4L V8 for the '10 STI hatch.
Hi, I'm new to NFS Heat so I want to ask how drifting works when I change the live tuning to brake to drift
Hi! Great video and explanations! Thanks!
Question ... is there an option to know what propulsion each vehicle has? (Rear-wheel drive / Front-wheel drive / All-wheel drive)
They are real world cars so you can google the year make and model and you should be able to find it out. :)
How do you drift with an all on-road/race car?
Thanks, and I too use race tires
nice!
What engine do you have in your subaru?
What setup did you use for this subaru? The engine sounds like the forged 2.5l flat 4 but is this the best engine for this car?
Use the V8 3.8L
I'm not sure if its the best engine but yeah that's what it is.
When using live tuning, do I have to always set it when playing or will the settings remain the same for each car until I decide to change it?
Each car will need adjustment. Then the game saves your settings for each.
That's a really good question! :)
It is num 6 on keyboard
Um why don't you adjust the camber on the front wheels to decrease understeer??
Should we keep traction control off alltimes ?
What is ur Impreza 06 build
How have you gotten your cars to pop wheelies in your past videos?
Drag tires
Can't access live tuning with g29 on ps5. You've got to use controller do you know if there is a way around it?
Probably not, but I’m not 100% sure. NFS has terrible wheel support
@@MilitiaGamingCommunity I've been playing it with the g29 and had no problems smashing it
1:05 how can you set that colorful undergrow like that
In the customize menu inside the garage
Just put any car at minimum downforce and maximum steering sensitivity and you're good to go
